In July 2009 we were on our way to Stockholm but the people on our way were so nasty we decided to turn around. I've been to Sweden before but in a different part and we didn't have that experience before but because of that we never went to Stockholm and probably missed this. Such a shame, these people might have been a lot more fun.

It is so amazing how people can manage to get together and give a free show just for joy, how they can get together in the Occupy Wall Street movement world wide, just how much power us ordinary people have is untapped and not really pushed forward enough to change the world for the better. Lindy Hop and other old dance styles from the 20's and 30's are coming back bigtime in Sweden, a lot of younger people have started to rediscover dancing. Visit Heptown.com for an example.

In Skåne, there's a dance training studio, named Heptown, who gives dance classes in Lindy Hop, Shim Sham, and so on. When I've taken lessons in Lindy Hop, only 2 out of maybe 35 are above the age of 40. The rest are between 16-25.
