  • when my heart races it goes up to 175

  • How ya doin! Have you heard about - Supreme Panic Magic (should be on google have a look)? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my BF after many years said ta ta the panic problem with it.

  • i have panic attacks but they aren't really like yours!! they do suck tho i feel bad for ya!

  • I have them during school

  • To me this sounded like air hunger or potts. Which would explain the lack of paralyzing terror.

  • Could this be Supraventricular Tachycardia? ACT

  • The way that helps me is whenever I am having a anxiety/panic attack would be for me to take a nap.

  • Also, all the people who suggest avoidance/hiding (video games) or supression, please don't take that advice. Whatever you hide from or bury will come back one day, usually stronger.

  • Thanks for posting. My suggestion would be less rx and more breath work. Seems to me there may be some false suffocation issues underlying what you're going through here, and buteyko or breathwalk might help a ton!

  • Try this video. It is already helping me. I started having a panic attack this morning and i haven't had another one since i saw this video. Hopefully this helps. Well I tried to copy and paste the link but it doesnt seem to work so just search under Panic Away or how to stop a panic attack or look under my videos. Good luck!

  • wwwinformovercom

  • ever break your jaw? message me

  • good luck with it man, if i could suggest anything, (if you haven't already) have a look into the scientific side of meditation.

  • Get a grip and get on with it.

  • @etchells29 u mother fucking peace of shit u need 2 shut da fuck up until u have 1 until den u shut da fuck up or ill break u mother fucking neck i have them i hate them so shut yo ass up unless u want to get it beat

  • @etchells29 have u ever had a damn panic attack if u havent u shut da hell up asshole

  • me too man 100% the same , but where the fuck does that feeling come rom its so weirddddddd me too from 18yo

  • I had a Panic Attack yesterday for the first time. I'm having one right know and I don't know what to do.

  • welldone Gary!! You are a brave man!! I know what are you going through!!

  • Do you smoke weed? i'm 17 and i had my first panic attack December of 2010 at age 16 and it was caused by a high amount of pot, i cant smoke pot now without a racing heart rate but i can control the fear, if you smoke pot, i suggest you regulate your intakes to about 2 hits per setting. Turn on a video game! best way to control the fear and the heart rate goes down if you don't think about it.

  • @wallyd611 ahaha dude i havd the same story as you. that's crazy. same ages and same regulations and way to occupy the mind.

  • Hey, I came across your video while looking for panic attack videos. (I know you said you are not having them anymore). I recently experience my first panic attack myself while driving down the road 30 min away from home, I'm 27 and I have a lot of history of panic attacks in my family. I am not worried or scared about having another one (yet not looking forward to it). Have you tried to play video games? It works for my anxiety, especially wii. I hope you get better.

  • You need to be strong minded, positive , stop whining and get a grip to start getting it sorted and to not let it control you!, you are in control of your body not " it ".

  • @etchells29 doesnt work like that, panic attacks are caused by a sudden release of adrenaline "fight or flight" reaction. just thinking positive doesnt make it help

  • @468chuckles Ok but taking drugs won't solve the problem but only hide the problem.

  • The BEST way to stop a panic attack as its happening or right when its starting, is to yell "STOP" out loud. This might sound rediculous but it really works like magic. When you yell stop it sort of acts like a barrier to the racing anxious thoughts ur having during the panic attack. I cannot emphasize enough how good this technique is, and it has worked every single time for me. Concequently, im now free of panic attacks, and my life is a whole lot better. Trust me, try it, and get back to me.

  • HPYOGLYCEMIA!!! MIMICS A PANIC ATTCK AND REALLY WHAT IS HAPPENING IS LOW BLOOD SUGAR GET A CLUCOMETER INSTEAD WHEN U FEEL THAT WAY AND SEE IF YER BLOOD SUGAR IS REALLY LOW!! I SUFFERED FOR MANY MANY YEARS WITH UNDETECTED HYPOGLYCEMIA AND i HAVE BEEN FREE FOR OVER 4 YEARS WHEAT N SUGAR MAKE PEOPLE WITH THIS DISORDER HAVE PHOBIAS.. LINEUPS ELEVATORS LOCKED DOORS CARS CROWDS I WAS SO MESSED UP.. I STOPPED EATING WHEAT N SUGAR SEVERAL SMALL MEALS THROGUHOUT THE DAY!!

  • God bless you man. im havin a panic attack right now. thats how i found your vid.

thank you for making this brother. youre not alone. just keep fighting!

  • Panic attacks = all in the mind.

  • @etchells29 yes its all in the mind smart ass ! thats why you don't have to worry about having them ; )

  • @Seiferzed Sorry but it's true, gotta be strong minded and get on with it.

  • @etchells29 people like you are the most fucked up ignorant bastards!!!they make the ones who suffer panic attacks feel ashamed like its something they can control, when YOU son of a bitch didn't even go through one, speaking like its something you definitely know about ! the prove that some mind disorders cannot be controlled is "schizophrenia" which makes people literally see things that don't exist ,so don't go acting so tough before you feel it ,as much as cruel it is i really wish it for you

  • @Seiferzed I think your being very silly Mr Seiferzed.

  • @etchells29 i checked out your channel , and there was shitload of bad comments and they all were about your retarded commenting , am sorry but i think you are mentally sick , the kind that posts bad comments but in some intelligent way so people actually do reply .. so you are enjoying playing games on other peoples nerves .. and i can tell you keep having fun , just don't get upset if life impales you on a long rusty metal rod and know that you deserved that . have a nice day ; )

  • @Seiferzed So you like my channel then?, i just like to put various different comments on here to see who reacts and has a little whinge about my comments like yourself, so it's worked then lol. And i don't think you really mean to say about life impaling me, i think your being very silly!.

  • Ya, dude it's tough - you need to either take some meds or changing your environment can help if it is stressful

  • Im with you buddy. Been having them for about 3-4 years now... lately getting worse. Watching this video actually sent me into a mild panic attack lol just shows the more you think about it the more prone you are to getting an attack. Goodluck

  • mines begin when i hit 30 but they went away i pried and then stoped thinking negative, its cold faith

  • Mines began in october 2005 at saturday vigil mass, it susbsisded late 2006 and i hardly had one, but unbelieveably 5 years later same place vigil mass its come back nearly 5 years to the date it began, this is real hell going thru this people just dont know and trying to act normal when catching one around people is hard, i tried at mass to keep still but the lady next to me noticed me moving about, etc... it susbsided just enough to get to end of mass, my only ER visit was 5 yrs ago.

  • This guy is also Amazing! he is one of the few people who post a video of them selfs. this guy is smart :)

  • guys! I used to have Anxiety and panic attacks! they have been going down slowly. Anxiety and Panic can be destroyed with the power of the mind and determenation. most of you probably get up and ask "am I ok? is my mind ok, I'm going insane?" e.t.c things like that, Anxiety/panic makes you think inside your self for every little problem you run into. even things healthy people go through. but you panic more. message me if you want :D

  • yeah guys, im with everybody with the panic attacks, i have called an ambulance probably over 50 times in the last 6 months, they come take my vitals and usually hearing them tell me its just anxiety it usually starts to go away , or sometimes when i see my heart rate at 160 to 180 beats a min on the machine, it sets me into more panic and i end up going to the hospital. Xanax and ativan and other benzos work really well to get rid of panic attacks, but u cant take them for a long time

  • theyre not drugs you can take for years and years, because once you get off them theres dangerous effects like seizures and other things like that. so they need to come up with a drug you can take daily that works as well as xanax or other benzos that are safe to take everyday for years that dont have side effects for withdraw

  • How are you doing now man?

  • I had(have) major sleeping issues. I would control my breathing, but you can only do that for so long. When I would try to act natural and fall asleep it seems like my breathing would get short and I would start to get a burning sensation over my body. Trying to nap during the day did the same thing. I've even sat up and had people touch my skin to feel how hot I get. I have suffered from Night Panic - waking up in a panic attack

  • try eating more cheese,,and eating something thats high in folic acid like malto' meal, and get more potassium like eating bananas,,and drink lots of water,,not to cold and take b-12 vitamin,,,,and download some hypnosis downloads from off the internet to relax u through out the day...listen to it with stereo head phones or whatever good ones u got.........peace

  • Sorry i meant vitamin b-6........

most people produce a chemical called "Gamma Amino Butyl Acid",,they call it (Gaba)

when the adrenalin and other chemicals come into ur body,,,the gaba makes it go away,,,

some people dont get enough of this gaba,,,,in some cases doses of vitamin b-6,,,100-300

    would help.....

  • This is something new I am trying for Panic Attacks, Hear my Story Here.. ** badanxiety . info

  • i was hooked up to a heart machine for an anxiety attack , and the heart meter started to beep very loud wich alerted the nurse in i felt extremely nervous , i looked at the meter it read 150 beats per minute , with heart palpitations high blood pressure shortness of breath i get them very often and i feel like i will die , i am only 17 and i have been in the hospital for what i though was asmah or heart attack , which they said nothing was wrong i want help, i have tookena high ativan dose

  • Thank u sooo much for posting this video!!! I am an ER RN and I suffer with panic attacks EVERY DAMN DAY!!!!!!!!!!! So glad to see I am not alone!!! This really meant a lot.... feel free tp email me at remidy30@yahoo.com

  • Panic attacks are the worst. I get this overwhelming feeling I am dying, heart pain, fast heart beat, shortness of breath, sweating, high blood pressure, etc.

I went to the hospital and of course nothing physically is wrong with me. They suck!

  • hey thanks for puttign this up makes me feel more normal

  • You look exhausted and tired. you must have sleeping problems too.

  • Wow. dude I am so there. Man the only thing missing is the skippy heart beats. They scare the hell out of.

  • i dont know what ive got i take meds for my constration but i think there not working any more lately ive been allways mad and streesh't and also deprest some time i get paranoyd ive been feeling this way for a several months now i sick of it its startting to afect my family and friends, i got a doc apoitment in 3 weeks, i was wondering if theres anything i can do for the moment..

  • I had a panic attack last night, in the middle of a movie theater, about 10 mins into the movie alice in wonderland. It was real cold and my body started shivering and this brought on elevated heart rate and cold clamy hands, so i left the theater and went home and the trembling continued a couple of hours. Im a critical care ICU RN & I believe God was giving me this experience to have more empathy for people in this fear state with elevated heart rates and blood pressures. Empathy is important.

  • im having a panic attack right now, and i don't know why. I can breath perfectly, but im soooo anxious. Its like the complete opposite of you. I can breath fine, i am just panicking inside. I think im having heart palpitations.

  • These were more like my panic attacks when on seroxat/paxil. It toolk away the fearfulness but not the physical symptoms so much.

  • also start taking magnessium 500mg along with omega3-fish oil...ive recently started doing this and ive been experiencing less attacks like these

  • try making yourself extremley cold....if it is winter step outside with shorts and a t-shirt...focus on being cold...until you start shaking...if not take a freezing cold shower..your heart rate will slow down...focus on being cold...i sometimes have to use this method...trust me it will work

  • thats true..m in india...and when its very hot outside...i feel PA...in cold i dont have it

  • stay strong.

  • Thanks for the video. you are very brave<<<

  • im 17 i have the same exact thing, they arent to frequent, but i get them more often after a day of hard work or exercise. today i got one after i was skateboarding for 4 hours and i ate a big meal...right after i was finished eating it hit me like a brick wall...i had the leave the restaurant and get fresh air, now im up at 2am and i cant sleep. i fucking hate it, and i dont see how an anti anxiety pill is gonna help me.

  • recently I had a panic attack in my work...my heart goes at 160/170 beats per minute, and my blood pressure almost 17/10 ...I thought I was going to die :( my body all shaking and when they call the ambulance they talk to me and slow me down. Then I go to hospital but that´s nothing...but I really think that I was going to die! Now I can control it much much better.

  • I think i experienced this when i was 19 years old and my first time i experienced it. idk if it was panic or anxiety attack but it felt too intense, I felt agitation, feeling of impending doom, my whole body shakes uncontrollably, fast breathing, numbness, scattered thoughts, i felt real cold and a BP of 180 over 100 something... i forgot about my heart rate but that experience was something i never ever ever ever want to feel again

  • I saw a guy at a concert hall, he was a musician, and all of a sudden he started seizing up and coughing and breathing quickly. He was bracing himself on a table and his eyes were twitching and he had trouble standing, I could tell. Was that just a severe Panic attack?

  • This is why I take klonopin. I thought I was going insane. For years the attacks got worse to the point where I would be up for days pacing the floor thinking life was over. I mean it was madness nobody deserves to go through that hell an usually its only people who get them that can truuully understand the affects they have on your everyday life. Dude, I wish you the best

  • Have you been tested for asthma?

Have you been tested for allergies?

Could be reaction to food, chemicals, dust, pollen or even mould spores in room.

Make a journal of where and when occurs - this will help to identify any environmental trigger. See a few doctors, different specialists if needed. Also get opinion from naturopath.

    Good luck!

  • I hyperventilate like this almost once a day

  • Have you checked your thyroid. Just because your labs are good does not mean there is no disorder.

  • I get the same thing, my thyroid is normal, but now I have blurry vision most of the time...... Had all the damn tests...... This is hell!

  • I know exactly what you are going through. It is awful! My shortness of breath always comes with pains in my chest which only reassure I am dying of a heart attack.

Then the vicious cycle begins. I have went a few times to the emergency room and no problems with my health. It is just a terrible experience. Happens almost daily for me.

I finally have accepted that I have panic attacks and figure if its my time its my time. I get so worn out from feeling this all the time.

  • Accept Christ as your savior and you won't feel doomed anymore

  • bjmalley, you are an idiot.

  • guidedpaths must be on the wrong path too

  • maybe its not psychological, you should already know if your a nurse get a full work up maybe ct scan for areas of concern, heart lungs.

  • adrianeaglrck, did you not listen to him? He's had a full workup, and they didn't find anything.

  • if he has any faith in western medicine, and i assume he does because he's nurse, what he should do is look at his family history for any predispositions physical and psychological, and keep in close contact with his family doctor and psychiciatrist. What more can you ask do you want from science it wont cure a lack of faith.

  • hospitals couldn't find anything wrong with me either, and they told me it was panic attacks before I ever went to a shrink. if it's not anywhere else in the body, must be in the brain.

  • your hyperventilating

  • when i had a really bad panic attack just yesterday....im 16 and my heart was beating 140

  • it is normal as high as 200 beats per minut..

  • @brut88plus How can 200 bpm be normal? I've had that and it lasts for about 2 minutes then disapates I hate it!

  • You could have (super ventricular Tachychardia) not a life thretening thing but look into it, Atenelol will help 25 mgs.....

  • i have exactly the same thing. I too am a RN, and I too don't seem to have them when i'm particularly worried about anything, it just happens for no reason. I can wake up with it sometimes. It last hours. I hate it. Clonizipam is what works the best for me. Xanax was too sedating. Maybe try that. Also, try lying down on your left side. I don't know why, but that seems to help me breathe better. Hope you feel better.

  • Dude, I had my first ever panic attack yesterday...it was the worst experience of my life so far. I literally felt like I was going to die, I thought it was all over. Went to the ER, and they said everything was fine, just a panic attack. I still don't feel comfortable though, I feel like I could get one any second.

  • Ive read how faster breathing is the bodys natural response to stress of course, but it happens unnaturally sometimes. Ive been like this for about a year or so and have finally decided to do something about it. Crazy i know. Its good to know theres others who can relate.

  • I so know exactly what your talking about. I dont get the panicky feelings of fear and doom either. What Ive learned just from experience is that Ive developed a bad breathing habit. Sometimes a simple thought or brief experience or nothing at all will make me start to breath faster. Sometimes it escalates to the point where I begin to tingle in hands and feet. I havent been successful yet, but am still practicing breathing techniques while calm or am feeling tense.

  • It's so random and amorphus. I feel dizzy and short of breathe right now, and my sp02 is 98%, and rpr is 75. It literally makes no sense. Sciece really doesn't understand this very well.

  • Dude, I feel ya. I am having the exact same problems and have been for the last 10 years or so. I can never find the reason for the heavy breating. It doesnt seem to be anxiety that cause the attacks. Have you found any cause for your attacks recently - the only common facor I know is that my gut is bloated every time i get these "attacks"

  • Me too,

I get these attacks usually after i eat something and feel bloated.....

  • do you have tightness in your chest? and yawn a lot to get oxygen, im scared now i think its probably worse than just panic attacks for me

  • I still get them every once in awhile, but they dont scare me like they used to. when i have one or feel one coming on i do something to take my mind of it, like wash my car or vacuum the house

  • i know how u feel i go there every day

  • yeah, it's annoying when doctors tell you things like "that's impossible" when you tell them you have panic attacks 3 or 4 times a week even. I have had 2 phychiatrists tell me "that's impossible" and go back to concentrating on my "bipolar II". ...from what I've seen, the only professionals who know what they are talking about have also been patients!

  • By the way I am an RN as well. Have the MDs ever tried giving you Klonopin when needed? Also thie new med Pristiq has worked well so far it starts to work within a few days instead of 4 to 6 weeks. People seem to think it is something that one should toughn up and get over it, but actually it is a chemical imbalance of the norepinephrine and serotonin. Do you have a family history of it? It runs in my family. Praying for you.

  • Klonipin was the only thing that worked for me too. I was on Klonipin for 4 years. We have tried buspirone, lamictal, depakote, seroquel...nothing else worked for my anxiety. The only thing is the withdrawal is hardcore.

  • Gary, I cried as I watch your vid. I was diagnosed with anxiety about 10 years ago--felt like the whole world was on my shoulders, twitches, fight or flight, etc. collapsed with mental physical exhaustion. The MDs used me as a guinea pig with all the meds--hard time I tell you-finally got through it with meds adn family support. After 10 years now I have just recently had another panic attact-different symptoms from10 years ago-nausea, shortness of breath, heavy chest. A new med givenwas Pristiq

  • I'm glad I found your video tonight, I was losing it tonight......This has helped me very much thanks gary!

  • Gary I'm going through exactly the same thing that you describe..... I'm cleecting wrist tags from all the ER's I've been in through the last 3 months.... I've had all the tests you had and so far has been normal..... God Bless You i Know what you're going through!

  • i've found the best cure to my panicking was to slow my brething. It took me 3 months to get over it.

  • I know exactly how you feel...I admire your control of the attach. Wish I could do that...Keep up the good work. Best wishes :)

  • ive been getting panic attacks for a while i got tested and everything but when it comes i all ways think im having a heart attack then i run to my doctor on the day of the attack i feel depressed on that day.

  • When I smoke too much weed, I usually get a panic attack for 4 hours.

  • I've been having panic attacks everyday since July 2008 to present! I just turned 40 in Dec 2008. I couldn't sit in front of a video camera while my pulse was racing, feeling faint, dizzy, shortness of breath, loosing my mind feeling. I'd be running around my apt thinking about calling 911 and holding a wet cold wash cloth to my forehead, drinking iced cold water and fearing for death to come.

  • God Bless you, this is awful i do the same thing when i get these awful attacks! Please don't give up!

  • Go to Foundation Of Human Understanding and down load Be Still & Know it

teache you how to over come anxiety practice forgiving stop being emotional .god is trying to catch up with you stop running into thoughts stay away from thoughts they are not you the phantom in your head want its payment for escaping into daydream you use it to escape reality when conscience boather you face discomfort pain conflic guilt stand back and watch anxiety without anger or fear calmly and it will fade

  • funny how doctors dont believe u when u tell them ur not panicking and u don't have mental problems, if you arrive in the ER like you are in this vid. I've had the same happen to me twice... it was caused by wrong breathing....

i must breath out very slooooooooooooooooowly,

i don't have these attacks anymore

  • oh yeah,

when i stop paying attention to my breath sometimes the attacks come back.

so i keep my attention on the breath the whole time.

i'm sort of a buddhist and keeping attention on the breath continuously is like a basic buddhist practice.

to read a very interesting article on "the breath" written by someone who's in a very effective and to the point school of buddhism,

search for "The Secret of Breathing Bhante Gunaratana" on google, and click the bhavana society link!

  • i think for problems such as anxiety and depression people should always try meditation first,

    it works wonders...

anxiety and depression medication can have many sideffects,

and sometimes protracted withdrawl syndromes that can last for years after discontinuation of the drug!

  • Ive suffered from panic attacks for about a year now. Ive had 2 extremely bad ones, i've learned to fight them off before they start properly now.

  • Thanks for this! I am 18 and have just got these kind of anxiety.

    This video helped me alot!

  • I hate having panic attacks

  • i am 35 years old and am exactly the same as you, my anxiety started when i was about 19 and i use to feel anxious when it happened but now i get the symptoms of panic attack with no anxious thoughts. The doctors are convinced i suffer anxiety.

  • I have had the same symptoms for the same amount of time. Doctors say the same thing to me. Have you been feeling better lately or found a cure?

  • I don't think normal panic attacks last for 10 minutes.

  • They can last anywhere from 15 seconds to several hours....

  • I would assume that if someone were to feel "attacked", they would consider reaching an emergency or police.... not wait several hours.

  • That's why it's so important to know the difference between a heart attack and a panic attack. If you frequently get panic attacks and know what it is when you're having one, then it's a different story. I was just saying, mate. ;)

  • I have never experienced either.... so I wouldn't know lol. How do you get panic attacks? Is it a disorder or some kind of stress related feeling? Nothing personal.

  • I have this. I get pain in my chest and get scared when I have it. It's terrible.

  • i don't know what to say because I am going to nursing school. However, I have been to the DR. because I felt weird as far as my fingertips going numb and feeling like am going to shut down. Also, I feel like my veins are working extra hard, they did ALL kinds of tests, they found nothing. I went to a neurologist and nothing. What do I have?

  • I got lyme and you are going through what i go through.

I can put up with it untill nighttime when it starts to cheese me right off and i keep having to get up and try for some air!

  • i get this same feeling, but only when i take a drug of any sort!! Sometimes caffeine can even do it!!

  • I assume you know about "mitrol valve prolapse" in the heart. some people are born with it. It is thought that this malfunctioning valve can cause panic symtoms. BY THE WAY.....a family member of mine is an RN and has had panic attacks all her life and has worked as a nurse for 30 years.

  • achems razor...some production pay attention to his video...doctors are diagnosing him with a panic response...yes he's anxious that his meds are wrong and overly skeptical of medical opinions

  • its a limited symptom panic attack, my blood pressure is 220/110- when im panicing with no anxiety...went to emergency room after some time to my selt in dim lit room my pressure was 140/90...yes check if your having a reaction to medicine...most likely your hypersensative ...a symptoms of panic disorder

  • it looks like panic disorder... something triggered a somatic response and your hyperventilating

  • It isn't a panic disorder. The only thing impacted is his breathing and blood pressure.

  • tired ...from watching you..i've had panick attacks symptoms no anxiety...ive been to emergency room work up im ok. im on ssri's ativan, and tricyclides...what works when im hyperventilating i stand in front of a wall both hand on the wall leaning and breath stay leaning dont let go until your feeling better. Diaphragmatic breathing works

  • If you have no anxiety and no anxious thoughts it is unlikely that it is a panic attack.

  • I wouldnt be so quick to deduce that. It is a subconcious habit that perpetuates panic attacks- or starts them.

  • Wow, sounds just like me. The doctors have thousands of dollars worth of tests for you. My blood pressure averaged 180/110 on a normal day. I took Prozac, Amatripaline, Paxil, Cymbalta, Celexa, Zoloft and more I cant recall. The only thing that helped was oral doxycycline because I have lyme disease. Try doxycycline.

  • Amen! Lymes disease was what I thought when I saw this video because I can relate and absolutely know it isn't 'anxiety'.

People are too quick to blame everything on panic attacks and anxiety. Many medical problems can mimic anxiety and panic attacks.

  • stay strong! its great that you are able to dissociate your autonomic response with anxiousness. although you may suffer from attacks, that's a key step in recovery. good luck.

  • reading a book in bed before you goto sleep will also help you get sleepy and hold the panic attack away holding the thought away that creates them, i have been studieng panic attack disorder, im and alcoholic and when i stopped drinking heavyly and started eating more b vitamin and got more out in nature for long walks it helped me alot i stopped drinking after the first panickattack and now they are not that heavy anylonger i can control them if i can sence one comming

  • I have panic attacks as well, and I feel with everyone else having them. I have been through the same process of ER and doctor visits telling me nothing is wrong even with heart rate of 180 for half an hour and near blackouts.

I currently believe I have found what causes it for me though! : MOUTH BREATHING... I have been breathing through my nose exclusively for many days now, and IT IS MIRACULOUS! No medicine, just nose breathing (4-6 pr minute). Please try it!

  • Wow man, everything that has happend to you including the endless exams has happend to me. What scared the crap out of me alot is when my heart either has an extra beat or skips a beat, that tends to trigger a panic attack if it happens more than a few times an hour. Everybody tells me, including over 12 doctors that what I have are panic attacks, yet still deep down inside im worried that they are all missing some very subtle disease or something and that im going to die from it.

  • Hang in there bud, JOG every other day for a mile or so if you can dude, work on slow breathing techniques man.

  • went through the same thing about 2 years ago. Mine got so severe i could not drive or do anything in fear of having them.

My bp would be 170/100 and heart rate as high as 160 for several hours. i would even feel weak and paralyzed and could not move, called the ambulance to my house one day. After denying that is was anxiety ( i have no problems and no stress) i finally decided to give lexapro a try. it took 6, yes 6 wks, but i only took 5 mg a day, gets lots of sleep, eat regular.

  • Your heart rate 160? OMG! I had panic attack some day and my heart rate as high as about 120-130. Because i watched movies all the times and worried about the movie. I never watch movie. Never. It not good for me. I can relax sit and talking my family and friends fun.

  • dude, you better try experimenting with herbal medicines, because i know it by experience, that the chemicals you take will ruin your life in a few years, and won't help with the heavy breathing. My mum started taking tricyclics, she almost committed a real suicide, then, she got SSRIs, she was lost for 1 month, and the police found her under a bush, with her veins slit, but thankfully, she's alive, and better by now. watch yourself, it's your life for gods sake

  • I know EXACTLY what you're going through. Had it for 3 hours today.

    damn anxiety

  • Exercise more, meditate, stop drinking alcohol, don't smoke, and get off xanax, and you'll feel better

  • aww man i am so sorry i had panic syndrome too

  • bless your heart.

    <3

  • Brave Man-good job Gary-KonstantinO

  • frequent panic attacks can cause non-occlusive ischemic boweland other destriction due to the shutting down of the mesenteric arteries in flight to fight.. it happened to me... So now I have a screwed up GI tract, down 25% of my body weight.. I will make a video on this . I too refused to believe that it was purely a panic attack.. yes I believe there is organic etiology behind this as wel. I will share what I have learned.. perhaps a video myself. I would like to help you .. I think I can

  • Mine was about the same as that when I've gone into Ers before.

You seem really calm...alot calmer than I was.

I wouldn't even be able to talk without crying.

DID U MOW YOUR LAWN IN THE HEAT or something?

    That's happened to me before!

  • I wont reveal the name of the forum on which I read your posts but I know who you are and I just wanted to tell you how much impressed I am you did this video and posted it on youtube. Your officially my hero of the day buddy. ... and you're right: let's keep on the fight! Hopes are justified and it's worth it. .... /\/\*r*y (I think you can guess my nick with that)

  • hey .. Gary.. i ve heard that beta blockers, works very well on panick, but i don´t know if you have tried them, and with your symptoms,(without fear or anxiety, at least in the video), i dont konw if betabloc work too. how long have you taking tricycles? higher norepinefirn can result sometyimes in that kind of hiperventilaton and accelerate feelings. have you tried paroxetine before?

anyway you have my admiration and suport as a friend. good luck

    Dany (wrote you on yahoo=

  • BTW folks, I'm on a Beta Blocker, Propanolol 20mg twice / day. It should keep my HR around 60 or so. Somehow it is over ridden when the symptoms arise.

  • Gary if you had Britney Spears or lookalike living with you be awash with Lovey Dovey Hormones I bet those Panic Attacks would reduce or even eliminate

but realistically this is no long term solution.

Your lucky you did not get Baker Acted nobody understands they just trivialise it.

    Religion Benny Hinn etc...

  • Just wondering if you live in an area that gets high ozone in the evenings. I know that can sometimes trigger my shortness of breath where I live. Hot temps and lots of traffic create unsafe ground level ozone that peaks in the evening. So that might be something to look into as well.

  • I too have panic/anxiety/agoraphobia. The same thing happened to me. The doctors just told me it was a panic attack, which I obviously knew it wasn't. I was on a drug called "Zithromax" (I think). It was an anti-biotic for a possible ear infection. Stopped taking the drug and it went away...

I have to admit it was strange feeling that way without the panic...just laying in bed comfortably watching a movie but having my heart thumping and breathing fast--but was otherwise very relaxed.

  • propanolol, atenolol,

  • I had sever panic attacks for years, finally they put me on beta blockers and they became almost undetectable. I get pancky but it is not severe, I just feel slightly sick and fear I am dying for like 10 mintutes then it goes away.

  • How much medication are you on? Your eyes seem glazed over and it reminds me of someone that is having anxiety due to the medications. I bet you are having some paradoxal reaction to meds. If you wean off slowly it may give you your answer.

  • Its all about the Money at the end of day,

The official line is you cannot die of Panic Attack but this is not entirely true a Lady in her 30's died when her diaphraghm did something to her stomach.

I thought this Guy Gary was withdrawing from benzos hence the rebound anxiety panic attacks

You have make the most of the time you have left we all die of something eventually you just have to manage it the best you can.

  • Gosh Gary so sorry to see you have this happen personally I've had panic attacks several times before having several tests done which showed Tacaycardia(sp?),MVP with regurgatations and a left temporal stroke so I am on heart meds plus 2mg DIAZIPAM 2 X'S daily....But with all that plus other things that were testing for it's no wonder we get panic attacks and terrible anxiety!!! Peace and Blessings my friend be strong and know were here for you:O):O)

  • by the way, with my own thing, I've learned to control it to a degree. As soon as I start to feel like I need to breathe more I actually do the opposite. Without sucking in a deep breath, I force all the air out of my lungs and hold it as long as I can. At first it was like 7-8 seconds. Now that I've done it a lot I can hold it much longer and most of the time, the air hunger subsides.

Something you can try at least:)

  • It's clearly not a panic attack. It's either a respiratory problem or you need to take a breathing class or something like that. You're badly hyperventilating and that'll make you feel like you can't catch your breath.

I used to hyperventilate. The way I understand it is anxiety would cause me to breath just a tad too much and that would cause air hunger that led to even more hyperventilating.

    good luck with this

  • This happens to me at work sometimes...and it really sucks.

  • UPDATE: For those of you who said it wasn't a panic attack, YOU WERE RIGHT !!!! After much research, I realized the cause of the rapid breathing was due to a medicine I was taking for my high triglycerides (Tricor). I dug deep, but after contacting Abott labs, a few cases of this had been reported. 3 ER visits and no one could tell me what was wrong with me. Let this be a learning lesson to you all. Once again, I'm coming off everything. I was better without the meds. More videos to come!
