  • @parymich777 you used God's number.........the 7...........i am shocked..........when the treaty is signed.?.........what if Satan comes out of the bottomless pit soon.?.......he's allowed in the real world for 3 and a half years for he will be able to torment and deceive all of this world.......but for who shall refuse the mark will have everlasting life with Jesus our Savior and God our Creator........for sure after you refuse you will die........but accept death like Jesus was ready to prove!

  • Thanks for taking the time to do this video. It was very clear and concise.

  • I think Netinyahu is the Anti Christ. First anti-Christ are those who knowingly reject Jesus Christ as the Messiah. 1 Jn 2. The "Jews" in Israel took it over by intreag. Just as predicted of the A.C. Dan.11. Netinyahu begrudgingly signed the Palestinian peace treaty. He is the mostly likely to break it. His palace is already in Israel, As Dan. Predicts. He has taken away the daily sacrifice. Jesus Christ's blood. By may further desecrate the temple. Maybe with the Image of Darwin?

  • Check out the new non-proliferation treaty just signed in 2010. Many nations included. Israel too. Usually they are for five years.. interestingly this last one in 2010 was a seven year treaty. People have practically missed it. Just saying that if it's the one.. then it fits all the other prophecies, including Zacheriah's nuclear prophecy. Yep folks, things are getting ready to rock pretty soon. Keepin our eyes open.

  • so much is happening these days...so much...

i've been doing some studying and it seems that the antichrist will enforce a treaty that already exists, the bible doesn't say he creates it, he just enforces it...

  • Barack Obama put himself on nationwide TV, on 7 major TV networks, and in front of over 33 million people, confirmed, or strengthened, or re-affirmed, or summarized his platform, his promises, to be of one mind and to all come together, or his COVENANT with the people. He strengthened his covenant (his promises).

  • @watchmanoftruth That's ridiculous! It has nothing to do with Obama's platform!

  • @mkmason2002 It's not as rediculous as you think you have been indoctrinated to believe that scripture mentions a "7 year peace treaty with Israel" which is NOWHERE in scripture.

  • @watchmanoftruth I never said I believed in a 7 year PEACE treaty. The scriptures say they will CONFIRM A COVENANT. Therefore if they confirm a covenant then one must already be established in which they can confirm. This is the 1967 borders agreement which Hilary Clinton is now pushing. We will soon see.

  • I don't think Obama is the Antichrist but i think he could pssibly be a Sith Lord

  • Screw Israel.

  • 70 years after the Jews came out of captivity under king Cyrus the 70 sevens started..From there until now was 483 years including the 49 years it took to build the temple..The 70 sevens stopped at 483 years that's when Jesus came and the church age started which we live in now, when the church age closes or the age of grace the last 7 will proceed making it 70 sevens or 490 years complete..The anti-christ will start the last 7 by signing the treaty..

  • @canvasguy Thank you for the accurate and brief description. And that 7 cannot start until the treaty is signed. God Bless...

  • @canvasguy

Daniel 9:27, says, “And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week” What we, as Bible students have always been taught, is the Antichrist will sign, or strengthen, a 7-year peace treaty with Israel and several other countries. This is another of our pre-conceived ideas, that I now believe has proven to be false. It is a theory that has been derived from an overall study of Bible prophecy.

  • 2023, not 2012? random numbers, dont hurt yourselves.

  • If Obama's efforts fail like everything else he has undertaken, he can fall back on his favorite excuse: "IT'S BUSH'S FAULT!!!" What a sniveling little black coward!!!

  • @wildetaube whoa did you have to say " black " its not about race you know. dumb fuck.

  • I think part of the confusion surrounding Daniel chapter 9 is that many of the other chapters in Daniel deal with the A/C and have references to him in the last few verses. We assume then that chapter 9 also follows this pattern. But both chapter 9 and 10 seem to differ from the surrounding chapters. We need to "rightly divide the word of truth" in order to get a clear picture of this.

  • When Jesus came he confirmed the Abrahamic covenent of faith (that the convenent is "confirmed" suggests that it must have been established earlier on). By becoming the sacrificial lamb of God he also "put an end to sacrifice and offering". The final verse decrees that desolations would result due to the many abominations committed by the Jews of that time in the temple and in the city of Jerusalem.

  • I know that the idea that the A/C would establish a peace treaty is very popular, but we have to stop repeating what everyone else is saying and trust out own spirits to understand scripture. We are under an obligation to "test all things". There are no beasts, no imposing horns, and no stern-faced individuals mentioned in Dan chapter 9. It's about Jesus NOT the antichrist. Look at the context of this chapter.

  • You are so right. That Daniel is def being interpreted wrong when they say the antichrist will confirm a covenant for 7 years and in the middle of the7 stop the sacrifice and oblation. Jesus Christ did this in the last of the 70 weeks not AC God warns us of this when He tells us in this scripture

2Thes.2 [11] And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

Therefore there is a Great trib not 7 years but 3.5 years/42 months according to Rev 13

  • @parymich777 interestingly enough it is now 42yrs and 62wks since Jerusalem was restored to Israel. The Israelies are in negotiations with Palestine. Rosh Hashana is next week the time when no one knows the day or hour. The west bank barrier is a modern wall trench system that surrounds Jerusalem. Mitzphe Yerhico is building a full Scale replica of the temple to practice sacrifice and offering in NOW. So with any luck Jesus will rapture us this September 9-11 2010.

  • @parymich777 treaty or covenant daniel 9:27 it doesnt necessarily indicate the treaty or covenant is with Israel or includes Israel. This could be a secret military alliance or any kind of covenant. It might not even be with different nations. It could be a covenant within a nation with many of its citizens. Even if they sign a 7 year treaty with Israel tomorrow it doesnt mean that is Daniels 9:27 is fullfilled the 7yr treaty could be the extention of a second 7year treaty 8-14 years.

  • islam is the truth

  • Sorry kiddo but their is no 7 yr peace treaty in the bible, nowhere! what is there is a 7 yr confirmation of the covenant, it is totally mis read, Christ returns and confirms the Holy covenant with the believers through the 144,000 power annointed then he ends the daily sacrifice for salvation half way through, only Jesus Christ can end the daily sacrife as he dies daily, the anti Christ has no authority to end the daily sacrifice.

  • @ravenwolf789

You read the wrong book but many are mislead, just like the rapture doctrine christians are going to die waiting for the rapture and that will be their rapture.

  • @ravenwolf789 I don't agree with you about the rapture, but you are certainly correct about the peace treaty. It's unfortunate that this teaching is so widespread. Jesus told us all the signs of the end that we are to watch out for. Dispite the fact that there is no mention of a peace treaty, Christians are totally convinced that this marks the start of the 7-year period. The prophecy in Daniel 9 comes in response to Daniel's supplication, and concerns Jerusalem and the coming Messiah!

  • President Obama Has been Chosen for the Peace Deals, through the UN!!He's going to Sell out Isreal,by Pushing the Arab Peace Plan, that will force Isreal to Give away The Land ,they Gained in the 6 day War,Leaving Palestinian(GENTILES),and Jews ,Vulnerable too more Attacks from there Muslim Neighbors!Isreal is not to Be Divided!!!

  • Hehe, is "Armagheddon" coming again? Seriously, when you die in 50 years time and no "Jesus" has come, no "Armagheddon" has happened, will you be disappointed then? Cheers, I gotta go back to the real world and my sane friends now. Keep having fun in "The Twilight Zone", hehe: )

  • the whole point of pauls epistle to the romans is that the church united, jewish and gentile believers is the new Israel.

the church is also the new temple of God and the new jerusalem. the temple sacrifices have been done away with in Christ and the rebuilding of the temple will be the ultimate blasphemy against our Lord. please people.....dispensationalism is a new doctrine wich has divided the church and made Christians feel second class to jewish believers. we have been made one body. read.

  • Your close! dig deeper. But the peace tready with Yisrael has NOT been signed yet with the beast.

  • don't forget about Rev 11 it addeds some clarity to what Daniel was talking about

  • We just signed it. Pretty cool huh?

  • since when? i don't know about that...

  • We did just recently in fact, I remember hearing about that on my way out the door to school. Obama made a peace treaty with Israel, maybe you can find the video on youtube, it freaked me out when I heard about it.

  • its not a 7yr peace treaty

  • He hasn't yet presented his peace plan for Israel yet, he will present it later this month (September 09) at the United Nations General Assembly in New York or at the G20 meeting (both around end of September). When this peace deal will be officially signed is unknown, if this will be for 7 years is also unknown.

All we can do is watch and pray that we have finally made it to the last 7 years and pray that we will make it through the Great Tribulation or that we die for Christs sake.

  • Scarey but cool lol.

  • @alieco

No they didn't sign no peace treaty yet!

  • @alieco Liar.

Obama is now proposing a 7 year peace treaty to Israel...

    We're getting there.

  • @sinsarcasmo bullshit, it says in the bible that the antichrist would be loved by all, Obama's approval rating is only 28 PERCENT. lol

  • he will confirm a 7 yr treaty, he is a muslim,. there is no roman antichrist, please im telling you.every nation gods wrath is poured out on is muslim! rome is not mentioned one in wrath. read just give a chance to WALID SHOEBAT'S BOOK GOD WAR ON TERROR. i used to believe in the roman thing and ill admit i was wrong , danial said seal up these words till the time of the end. he would reveal these things then and he is. look his name up on here as well please!

  • The peace treaty will be signed by a muslim!

That muslim will also recieve a NOBEL PRIZE on creating this treaty....

This treaty will be signed during the end of times following a period of chaos and depression never seen before ever!!!(PROPHECY)

  • I want that treaty signed!

  • thank for the info

  • gotta wait for the "army from the north" to sign a 7 year peace treaty with isreal.

then at exactly 3.5 years the "beast" will break the treaty and then make us take the sign of the beast.

some people think that the beast is the next pope, and the 4th empire (rome) will rise, the vatican will take over.

  • The 3 and half years is Obama's term. He is already propsing 8 years as president. He is already in the process of establishing peace in the middle east and they all love him. His final stop is Iran.

  • That doesn't hold up because I am sure Clinton probably assumed he'd serve 8 years President also before it happen. Plus, Clinton also tried to make friends with communist china and attempted to make a peace treaty in the Middle East that was rejected. I don't see how Barack Obama's attempts are going to be any different. The Anti-Christ will be revealed to Christians when the timing is right.

  • GoD Bless you,and good Work..Go Oilers Go!

  • i cant wait to leave this world

  • i CANT WAIT TO SEE NEW HEAVEN AND NEW EARTH! THIS WORLD IS SO EVIL AND CORRUPT.THIS IS THE TIME ITS COMING SO SOON!

  • Isn't that's what going on right now? Isn't George Bush going to Israle to make a treaty with Isrial?

  • +'SLAUGHTER-ING pALESTINIANS AT A RATIO OF 8:1 YEAR AFTER YEAR AND THEN CLAIMING YOU ARE THE VICTIM OF TERROR-ISM AND ANTISEMITISM IS SIMPLY LAUGHABLE BY ANY RATiONAL, LOGIc, RELIGiON OR CREeD. Christians are grafted in.

  • alp

why don't we boycott you, leave Israel alone they are still the apple of GODS eye

  • Daniel 12:9-12 And he said, "Go your way, Daniel, for these words are concealed and sealed up until the end-time. Many will be purged, purified and refined; but the wicked will act wickedly, and none of the wicked will understand, but those who have insight will understand. And from the time that the regular sacrifice is abolished, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there will be 1290 days. How blessed is he who keeps waiting and attains to the 1335 days."

  • We both know Daniel is a book of dreams & visions. Vague at best. You must provide an actual seven year peace treaty. Even bible scholars have not uncovered the true meaning of this book(Daniel). I applaud you my friend for the effort. You have 3 days of innocence. Time is running out. 5 stars.

  • lol 3 days left. tic toc tic toc.

  • I answered the question, just because the answer sint good enough to agree with for some does not change the fact that I answered the question, I consider the case closed

  • brett you were a christian at one time. if you read the book of Daniel about the last days and the antichrist it fits nice and snug with the book of revelations. keep your eyes open christians and athiest. the days are short keep watching and you will see. read and watch .

  • Actually the book of revelation is borrowing it themese from EZEKIEL. And 'Daniel' has two different authors and is clearly written around the 180 bc. So cleary nothing remarkably divine is in there. Much of the prophecies didnt come to pass, these are the ones you think are for a future date. BEcause they never came to pass.

  • The have either all come to pass or they will come to pass, there is no misunderstanding in that. God is coming back and these things will happen, I hope that when they do that you will be prepared, and that you will see them for what they are!

  • Thats what I said. The prophecies that did not come to pass as predicted are re interpreted as FUTURE prophecies. You said "God is comming back", many christians say God is right here, which one is it? I have loads of bible prophecy in my brain. Hey..is the 'beast' computer in brussels myth still getting around?

Or has that one been ditched?

  • "beast computer prophecy"? what??

  • not "beast computer prophecy"... but 'beast' computer in Brussels. No doubt another 'central computer to NUMBER us all' myth has been developed. They use to push forward this myth that a supercomputer was ready to give us the 'Mark of the beast'. Apparently they had 'trials' in Sweeded (mainly non religous nation). Clearly its rubbish. But it was a quite common 'SIGN of the TIMES' 15 years ago.

  • Now they have the ability to implant us, and to track our every move. They also can set up the chip to act as a bank card, which will effect ones ability to buy and sell. Is this it? Sure it is, or something more advanced coming to view shortly. Think about the fact that we now have a number for our DL, cars, products, next is our farm animals, then it will be us, on our persons.

  • OWNZED? how?

You've merely quoted scripture that the fudemntalists in power are trying to force to be fulfilled so they can sell more Left Behind books.

  • I was asked a question and made a personal deal with someone, and I answered.

  • Is this stuff still getting around the christian world. I use to believe this stuff so much, more than most christians. Please parry, if I could tell myself in my past not to believe this rubbish, I would. Daniel is written by 2 different authors. No one knows who Daniel is. This type of stuff is sending this world to crap as a self fullfing prophecy. That fool, Hal Lindsey doesnt care about noone but his own pocket.

  • does it matter who wrote it? It has been proven that according to the timeline in history, biblical prophecies have and are coming true. regardless of what you think of hal lindsey, which I assume you think to be the authour of the exerpt I read, the bible has shown itself to be true, whether you believe in it or not.

  • Not one single prophecy has been proven beyond a REASONABLE doubt. I agree that other christian versions of events have been spawned through time. No WHERE in the entire bible does it say "7 year peace treaty in the middle east", it has to be read INTO it. Daniel has two different authors. You can see this yourself in the english translations. It is clearly written no earlier than 160 bc

  • the prophecy and the vision of Daniel was given specifically for the Jewish people in the HOLY LAND, ISRAEL, how clearer does it have to be? I read the verses all for you, you cannot deny that the bible does not say that when I just read it!

  • It has to be alot clearer. These prophecies were written at a time when the people were under occupation. This is a common theme with the prophecies. "There will be trouble and great distress, one last war to end all wars, then world peace run by God". This is a common story. I dont deny the bible says what it says, it just doesnt say anything amazingly prophetic.

  • the quote you used is referring to the end of time war, not to that time. To be clearer, I would have to go into the outline of the timeline and the prophecies, which will not be tonight, but perhaps

And it doesnt really matter under what situation it was given, the prophecies came true, and you cannot refute that

  • I was being general with that 'quote'. There are no prophecies that came true though. Daniel is no doubt written no earlier than 160- 180 bc. After most those things came to pass. And 'daniel' is in error in some things also. Believe me, if these things were true, I would love to accept them. But it my attempt to be more accurate with my understanding of biblical prophecy, it became clearer that its not propehcy. I searched believing not trying to NOT believe.

  • the prophecy of Jesus entering Jerusalem came true and the timeline was to the EXACT DAY. Jeremiahs prophecy of the 70 years of captivity in Babylon was fulfilled to the EXACT DAY

There are dozens upon dozens of prophecies in the bible that were laid out, and completely fulfilled exactly as it said would happen.

Jeremiahs prophecy of Babylon, by the way, was written in 606 bc, and daniels prophecy came just 2 yrs before the fulfillment of that prophecy, in 536bc.

  • Actually 'Daniel' is more likely written around 160 - 180 bc. He gets some things wrong about the history (at least the first author did). The second author doesnt mention much of the times but uses language more common around 160 bc. Its not difficult for christians to show how it all lines up with history, when they are the ones writing history. For now look up Darius the mede in wikipedia.

  • Daniel chapter 1 - 6 (excluding the first few verses of the modern book) are written in Aramaic and are someone writing ABOUT someone called daniel, and the rest. Daniel 7 - 12(14 in some versions) are someone CLAIMING to be daniel and are written in Hebrew. I use to believe in it FULLY from Ezekiel 38,39 dan, rapture, 1 Thess 4, revelation, and so on.

  • history has proven that these things did come to pass long after they were prophecied, when the bible was written is irrelevant here. I studied the timeline, it wasn't "read into" or "dreamed up".

It is history, which so many non religious people like to use as proof and follow as truth, now you are telling me it's no good?

You're itching ears hear what they want, I suppose

  • "Read into" happens quite often. It can be good or bad. The bible says nowhere "7 Year peace treaty in the middle east" Actually 'Middle East' is a 'Western nation' term. Not a term they would have used. Its also a GENERAL area. There is no such place. Like saying the 'Southern Hemisphere'. There is no place, its just a General area. Which is why christian authors use it, because its slightly Ambiguous.

  • no, it is clear what the scripture is talking about. You are going to argue words and terms, the bible makes it clear that there will be a 7yr peace agreement with His people, tell me, cjunk, where is the "holy land"? ISRAEL!

nowhere else on earth at any given time in the history of this planet has the holy land meant anything other than ISRAEL, and you know it!

  • The 'Holy Land' is what the Jews call it and many christians have considered holy. Not the rest of the world. Do you really believe that God in his role as omniscient realestate broker cared for such land? This is a nomadic peoples primitive view of the world. The reason its on the news in 'christian nations' so much is becuase Christians are the majority. There is more strife in other parts of the world

  • there isn't a person in the world that doesn't know that when you say the "holy land" that it means Jerusalem, that's common knowledge, whether you believe it is holy or not, it is obvious what the bible is talking about here

  • No, there are plenty of people in the world that dont know what land christians and jews call holy. Many people may call their own land holy or sacred, but not all by into believing that that little block of land is somehow 'Holy'. Just ask the australian aboriginals.

  • are you telling me that people have no idea that when you talk about the holy land in relation to the bible that it does not even imply Israel? Yet, you claim to be intellectual and to know all there is to know about christianity? I'm sorry, but I know bull when I see it

  • ok, I concede this point. Most people in the world that have heard of the bible, will no doubt think of 'Israel' when you say 'Holy Land' in relation to the bible. But its not like all human beings have this inside Knowledge by nature that 'Israel' is the Holy Land of God. I guess you didnt orignally mean that. sorry

  • thank you, that was my point. Talking in relation to the bible, not saying that everyone does or must believe that it is but that it is known in bible terms.

  • I will also concede another point. By using the event described in Nehemiah 2:1-6 and assuming it to be the Decree which it isnt, and with the right mathematics, the time comes down to 32CE. Of course there is no consensus on what date the crucifiction actually happened.

  • I would encourage you to read the history of these things OUTSIDE of the bible, and not christian prophecy books but history books. They wont be directly inrelation to the bible books, but thats even better. It provides more context of the times and situation of these people.

  • We both know Daniel is a book of dreams & visions. Vague at best. You must provide an actual seven year peace treaty. Even bible scholars have not uncovered the true meaning of this book(Daniel). I applaud you my friend for the effort. You have four days of innocents. 5 stars.

  • The prophecy of Daniel was historically proven and accurate to the day. The evidence of the 7yr peace treaty is clear in the passage, it says that the time is 7yrs, the people are the Jews, and the place is ISRAEL, I don't understand what more you're looking for, I feel I have answered the question.

    I retain my innocence :P

  • first I'm told to read the bible, then I'm told to read other books, now I'm told what specific books to read. I'm sorry but some people are just never satisfied, and I don't think I should have to read anything to prove anything to you.

No matter what I read or learn, if it is different from some peoples opinions, it wont matter to them anyways, it's never good enough. and that's not my problem

  • Well, i certianly am not attempting to TELL you to do anything, simply suggesting that if you wanted more accurate context to these things you will need to look into the actual history and the nature of the books themselves. Which is easily done

  • the books I have read ARE history as well, you just dont accept them as valid. Whatever I do read will not be accepted unless it is something that you agree with, and conforms to your personal opinons. THAT I will not do, conform, for the sake of making you or anyone happy.

  • Do you honestly believe that the prophecies are that OBVIOUS? Do you really think that people Activly DENY them because they hate God, or Jesus or something? So many people would love to see such amazing prophecies if they ever existed. The reason they have to be 'figured out' is because they are not obvious at all, but ambiguous, like most prophecies in the world. its not unusual.

  • the prophecies in the bible have come true just as told, save for the ones that are yet to come. But, if you discredit the bible altogether, of course there are many who will not accept the prophecies as valid.

For the prophecies to be recognized and understood to be true, there must be a measure of faith, I suppose, even though the evidence is right there it will not be accepted and I am positive that the evidence is there.

  • Look maybe, just maybe, there are very real prophecies in the bible, worthy of attention. But dont you think that any truth should be able to stand up against the strongest criticisms? Shouldnt very Real truth trump our opinions? If you had a belief, and found some facts that contradict that belief, then shouldnt one include the facts and at least 'tweak' the belief? Afterall facts are not biased, they are simply facts.

  • I think that all the prophecies in the bible are worthy of attention, and they have been shown to have happend just as it was written.

And, it's not just the bible that has backed these prophecies up either, it is Jewish historical books even the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, UK.(that backs up the claim of how the calendar was written and used by the Jewish people in the old testament times)

  • No, no books have ever backed up Christian interpretation of these prophecies. Thats just what the christian authors say in their books. But if you actually research you will find they lie to you. Thats what I did, thats what you haven't done. Look at the DETAILS

  • yes the bible has old books in it. That makes them books from our history. Many things in the bible are true. Not just factual events of the past, but also good advice, and insight. And many other books that are old have the similiar stuff in them. And many books have dubious information in them, like the bible does. You dont actually think the sun really did stand still for Joshua do you? No one else on planet earth seemed to have noticed it.

  • As well as having more, such as sir Isaac newton, in the encyclopedia brittanica, NOT a religious document that backs the calendar up as well.

  • I know the Jewish people were behind when it comes to the dermination of the calendar. They had 360 days in a year, when others new there were more at that time

  • I dont disagree that they had a 360 day calendar. Its just no big deal. Actually they may have even had a 359 day year at one time, then they thought the year was decided upon by the moon and not the sun. The christian authors will just pick whatever is closest to whatever dates they want. Thats why the bible doesnt say "Sabatical year" or Prophetic Year. Christians read that into it.

  • I don't know much about that, but what I do believe is that anything is possible for God, why put a limit on him with regards to the sun? If he created it, doesnt it make sense that He controls it and can use it for whatever way He sees fit? And, in that case, He did just that.

  • And no one else on the planet ever noticed this happenening? Others were more advanced than these ancient hebrews and documented much on the movement of the stars and sun and moon. No where else on planet earth does this amazing event appear except one or two verses in the Old testament. Which is more likly, the sun stands still, or people make stuff up or are deceived? No one elese in that area noticed the sun stand still except for Joshua. clearly its rubbish

  • it may seem rubbish to you because you were not there and you would not accept it because it did not happen for you so it is hard to understand how that could happen.

Physically, to us, yes, it seems illogical and improbable as well as impossible

But to God, whom through ANYTHING is possible, why not?

there are many things that have happened in the bible that cannot be explained

  • But, that stuff didn't really happen. Just like a hobbit named Frodo didn't actually go on a quest to destroy a magical ring. Wake up! You are being used by the Neo-Con robots.

  • Look, The decree of Artaxerxes to Nehemiah described in Nehemiah 2:1-6 is really no decree at all. This occurred in 445 B.C.E. putting the time of the Messiah at 39 C.E., too late for Jesus, Despite these flaws, most evangelical Christians adopt this as the appropriate decree because Nehemiah rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem

  • the walls were built just as the prophecy outlined they would be, regardless of WHO built them, it was shown to be true. The problem isn't that you don't believe it as much as you refuse to accept it, because that would mean admitting that you might be wrong or that you might not know all things, of course we couldnt have that now can we

  • Oh please, I dont mind being wrong. I went from a strong believer in Jesus and this prophecy stuff to being a non believer because I accept completely the possibility of being wrong. I find that in most cases not only do many christians refuse the possibility of being wrong, they hardly ever entertain the possibility of even being slightly wrong or having wrong opinion

  • I think its not necessarily a matter of being right or wrong in our opinion, but in how we use that opinion towards others that matters. I could go into detail here, but the subject that caused me to learn about this is sooo of topic to discuss here lol

  • The prophecy says "decree to rebuild the temple". which is not what the verse says. The people back then knew how to wrie what they intended to write. And its clearly just a letter of safe passage that was given, not a decree to rebuild the temple. And I am aware I dont know all things, its usually the religous that need to be reminded of this.

  • the verse says to rebuild the CITY. But thats not the point. getting caught up in semantics and differences of words and languages takes focus away from the core message, which is that the vision lays out what will happen and when and for how long and who is involved, etc.

The city was rebuilt, and the prophecy was fulfilled in that part.

The other part of the prophecy is clear, and it hasnt happened yet, but it will

  • Actually understanding words and definitions is important to communication and understanding. I know the NT says "dont argue over words" etc. But clearly understanding meaning is relavant otherwise, all bets are off, and anything can mean anything, which is simply ridiculous.

  • Thats right, the 'CITY', not the temple. Words are still important. Back then theyt knew what things meant. And still this was not a 'decree' which even back then they knew the extreme difference.

  • In their attempts to line it up more accuratly they have invented what they call the '360-day prophetic year'. Using "prophetic years" puts the end of the 483-year period at 32 C.E. Of course we know that the 360 day year is because they didnt know how many days were in a solar cycle. These christians will invent anything to keep the faith

  • the 360 day year was the calendar used in those days, plain and simple. The prophecy could only go by the timeline that it followed at that time that the prophecy was given. They are not gods they had no idea that man would change the calendar in the future and they went by the time they knew, whats so hard to understand about that?

  • But apparently God is God and could easily correct such things about the calendar. Also there was no Decree made at the time needed inorder for this to be fullfillment, these christians can only use that one event because the actual decrees cant be made to fit as well.

  • In order for the prophecies to follow correctly, we must honor that timeline as valid even though we dont follow it today.

Yes the calendar has changed over time, but it was still valid then just as it is now.

  • On a side note, have you watched Amazing Atheist latest 'flick'? What cha think? scary huh.

  • ya thats totally off the wall, did you see the response I posted? fitting, isnt it? LOL
