The tune in the middle of Star of the County down is a violinsolo taken from Orthodox Celts' version of the song.

Despite the poor audio quality from the video camera, I like the vocals. Maybe it's the Norwegian accent singing English. I'd encourage your flute player to invest $10 US for a Clare Pennywhistle to use for Irish tunes rather than the classical flute, which is OK, but less "traditional" I suppose. Plus the whistle would better cut through all those fiddles. Good luck. PS What's the tune thrown in the middle of "Star of the County Down"?
