All I'm saying is, it's a good thing we had the Mexican war, otherwise today Los Angeles would be filled with Mexicans. You wouldn't be able to walk down the street in Hollywood without hearing people speaking Spanish.
Nope- Republic of Texas (happened even before the Mexican-American War). Texas legally gained their freedom from Mexico as San Jacinto, The Alamo, etc. Viva la Texas!
Sure, and there were Texans killed as well; that's what happens in war (sadly), if this were a perfect world we would already have "beaten our swords into plowshears", IMO!
