@HedleyFan100 We recommend keeping this cake refrigerated until serving. Although Jell-O gelatin can be kept at room temperature for 1-2 hours before getting watery, Cool Whip performs and taste best when served cool.
@TheCraphater You will still need to use 2 cups of boiling water. Then add 4 cups of ice cubes to dissolved gelatin instead of the 1 cup cold water; stir 8 min. or until gelatin begins to thicken and remove any of the unmelted ice.
The recipe and directions look wonderful and easy. The presenter, however, definitely doesn't help promote either of those ideas or images. I truly do apologize for this sounding in a mean way, as it was not the intention at all. Just some marketing observation and advice.
She seems very nice person indeed. However, her fearful and angry expression make one actually afraid of the Kraft recipe she's promoting. Again, my apologies, it was meant as helpful input.
Just wanted to know if once the jell-o has set and I take it out of the fridge, would it be ok at room temperature for a few hours before serving?

She looks like someone who just beheaded her husband, keeping the head in the fridge, just in time to make a "perfect" cake for some guests.

About the idea of carving out part of the cake for the pool, what do you reserve what is scooped out for?
KBAFourthtime 1 year ago
@KBAFourthtime Great question! You can feel free to use the removed cake for snacking or other use. I hope that helps and enjoy!
