Many believe the rapture ( the coming of Jesus for His bride, the Church) will happen on the next unfulfilled festival i.e. the Festival Of Trumpets or Rosh Hashannah, the Jewish New Year which falls this year on the sunset of Sept 28, 2011. In the rapture, the bible describes Jesus will descend from the clouds with a shout of an archangel & a trumpet blast of God which many believe is linked to the Festival of Trumpets. Jesus, being a Jew will observe the Jewish festivals ordained by God.

@AirJuvi43 But Messianic Jews believe Jesus was giving a hint in saying "no man knows the day or hour " because it is a common Jewish saying that refers to the difficulty of predicting the appearance of the new moon for the Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashanah) over a period of 2-3 days. That Jesus may be referring to Rosh Hashanah is possible because it is a 3 day period in which " the day or the hour" is not known when the new moon will appear to decide Jewish New Year.

I am open to all suggestions ON ONE CONDITION : whatever their claims, they must be based on what the bible says. Jesus said the generation that sees " the fig tree budding " (the formation of the state of Israel) shall not pass away but see the fulfillment of His prophecies. 1948 + 70 yrs (3 score & 10 years) = 2018... - 7 yrs tribulation = 2011, the rapture of His church. @Scionwoods I don't claim to know the exact date of the rapture but like everyone else who reads the bible for biblical clues to this event, this is my interpretation which is based on what Jesus said in Matthew 24:32-33 about His coming, and what Psalm 90:10 says..." The days of our years are three score years and ten (70 years)...." Because Jesus the Passover Lamb Himself died exactly on Passover Day, etc...many believe He will come back on Rosh Hashanah, 2011...8 days from today.

@Scionwoods That the Palestinians have just gone to the UN assembly to try to get recognition of their state instead of continuing the peace talks with Israel, is a telling sign that Israel may soon be forced to sign a peace treaty. This will signal the entry of the Antichrist onto the world stage. The church of Christ would have raptured by then because 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8 tells us the Antichrist is revealed only when the Restrainer (the Holy Spirit) is taken out of the way (raptured).

Oh, I forgot to mention, the 2nd half of the 70th week is the 3.5 years the disciples ministered the gospel to the Jews, at the end mark of the 3.5, at the stoning of Stephen, was when the Lord appeared to Paul and in Peter's vision and issued the gospel to be preached to the gentiles. Look at the end of Ezekiel, Ezekiel 38 is actually Armageddon, if you read carefully, you will see that God is present at that battle, then follow that is the vision of the temple, which will be built in the Millenium by the Lord himself. There is no reference anywhere else about a 7 year trib. We can only defineatly know that the great trib and antichrist reign will be 1260 days. @metubegirl69er Jesus was in the flesh on earth. He prayed, ate, had pain when he stubbed his toe, had to take baths, was baptized, etc, etc. In the flesh, Jesus did not know. As in the Jewish wedding, the father tells when it will happen. When Jesus ascended into heaven after his resurrection, then I'm sure he knows now. But even now, out of respect for His Father, Jesus leaves it to God the Father to choose the day and hour of Jesus' return. Yes, Jesus is God the Son, & died for us to live. :)

I know the pre-trib vs. post-trib rapture debate is a non-eternal debate; however, in light of the fact that many Christians are expecting to be raptured before the tribulation I think you need to consider Mark 13..I don't see any evidence in Scripture that we (who are still alive) will not face the tribulation period. The word "rebellion" does not fit with the original Greek word "apostasia" that Paul used. Rebellion, as we know it in western culture, is a mistranslation and throws people into confusion about tis verse. We can only know what Paul meant by going to the original source and understanding the Greek. Which translation did you get that from?

God gave them both a warning of wrath and a way out before the real wrath/tribulation came down. For us, it has not yet begun. What we are living through are the birth pangs. @EvangelHeart I am personally not concerned with the passing away of heaven and earth. That is 1000 years from now. The rapture we can know the season from watching the signs and also knowing the Jewish feast days and how Jesus is fulfilling them. It is narrowed down to the fall feast of trumpets which is two days. therefore we don not know the day or hour of the rapture. It could be this year!

@EvangelHeart - YOU ARE RIGHT ! ! According to verse 37 = Jesus is talking about no one knowing the day and the hour of "the coming of the son of man" which is His return or the day of the Lord. The day of His return is not the rapture. The day of His return is not the catching away of the saints so He is not saying that no man knows the day or the hour of the rapture. He is saying that no man knows the day or the hour of the second coming. I have never seen that before now!!

@sadiensage We will be gone before the antichrist comes on the world scene. Revelation 4=the church in heaven. Revelation 6= the emergence of the ac with the opening of the first seal. There are many false messiahs now but, the big one is yet to come. Just as we have apostasy growing in the worlds churches today, the great falling away is the world worshiping the ac.

When the Feast of Trumpet begin is when the jews would first see the sliver of the moon. So after that they announced The feast of trumpets has begun. So they did not know the day nor the hour when it would come. They had to watch. So hence noone knows the day nor the hour refers to The feast of trumpets.

There is no doubt that the age of grace is coming to a close but Daniel 9:27 doesn't happen until after the church is raptured. So I guess what you are trying is if there is an agreement, pact, convenient or some sort of binding resolution to the peace process between Israel and her enemies put in place. Then the antichrist will defend that agreement with the intention that 3.5 years later he will break it. Hard to disagree with that. Thank you for posting this video.

I don't think Abbas is going to agree to declare Israel a Jewish state for any reason. There will be a fight first and then the AC (which looks more and more like Obama) will make concessions (dishonest deals).

I think war is going to break out first, the rapture/chaos, the AC comes on the scene to "fix" everyhing and the covenant is made mainly for reasons of setting up a global dictatorship.
