Chongqing is a special area, what they call a municipality about the size of South Carolina in the US, and the actual urban area is about 6-7 million people, while great majority of Chongqing is rural. I would not call it the largest city in the world.
@illuminaz1 The urban area is 6 million. If you know anything about Chinese municipalities, they also include the rural residents and farmers which brings it up to 32 million.

@illuminaz1 well, the city of Shenzhen is a lot bigger, without any rural area, i heard the population there is reachin 20 mil.
