  • Veidt is the smartest person in the world and the probably the best fighter too and super rich and very good looking

  • x) This movie rocked, I am watching anything on youtube that has to do anything with it. I wish there was more. Like another movie, but sadly I don't think a sequal would be very practical with this story. >:o

  • It's funny how Matthew Goode plays a Lex Luthor-ish character here but he was considered to play the new Superman.

  • My God he is sooo Fu***n HOT and i LOVE his Voice!!

  • I love him:) he is so cute

  • I like Veidt. First time I've seen a man disliked for creating world peace. Best of all of them.

  • Wow, listening to Goodies soft voice, any European for that matter, and this horrible Micky Mouse screech of that American lady in contrast really makes me cringe..

  • ohh this is a very good film but I liked more Chasing Liberty,Matthew Goode looks so charming and more when the film is a romantic comedy.

  • mate I hate how they pronounce Ozymandias it is always Ozy-man-die-ass

  • @GrayWoIf You forget most people never read coleridges poem, so they have no idea what the name is in reference too.

  • I went to see this movie because of Billy Crudup, but having seen Goode in "Marple a murder is announced" and "Match Point" and considering interesting what I read about the character Adrian Veidt, I'd great expectations on Matthew Goode's work in Watchmen. I was right! It's a pity he had few scenes. Me too, I would like to see much more scenes about Veidt life.

  • Sorry, but for me he is a miscast: In the graphic novie Ozymandias is not only very smart, but also striking muscular and he has a classical beautiful, sharp cut face.

  • @VitoPossilipo: To be honest, if they had made Veidt look like in the comic I couldn't have stopped cackling throughout the whole movie. Goodie gets the character right, the feeling and it doesn't matter that he doesn't look 1:1 like a comic drawing. It was the right decision to change him a bit just like the ending of the movie is better than in the graphic novel.

  • @MsHyde1 Thank you for your reply. I also prefer the end of the movie.

But I think Ozymandias had had to look much more muscular. That would have also drop the stupid cliche that muscular people are strupid.

  • @VitoPossilipo: I know what you mean but I think it would have taken away from the realistic feel of the movie. In the movie his main power is not only his strength but his pace. And a really bulky, heavy guy simply couldn't be that agile. But anyway, I just don't think it is that important or has any relevance.

  • @MsHyde1 Good point about the pace. And I also agree to you that his looks

are not very important. But for me the movie had been even more better if he had been more as in the graphic novel.

  • He's the best character. The people watched the movie because of Rorschach and they stay because of Ozymandias.

Matthew Goode is so amazing. I am proud to say that i'm a fangirl of Adrian and Matthew as well, though i haven't seen any other movie with him in it.

I'm not the kind of girl how would go as a crazy fangirl for some fictional character, but Ozymandias is a god, is perfect.

  • he had a german accent when he was relaxed and an american accent when hes working, hes such a good actor people can barely hear it

  • It's pronounced Veedt, dammit!

  • Except... it's not. In German, you'd pronounce "Veidt" the way it is pronounced in the movie.

  • Beanies and coffee = cooooooooool beans :D

  • "Laurie 'Juice-pecks-it' " Heh, you'd think someone would have mentioned the correct pronunciation to her.

  • Yeah, and Daniel Dreeeburg. Hell, I hate those girlie reporters.

  • for me who cares about the backstory when the main story was so awesome!

  • You can't understand the main story to it's fullest without understanding the character's backstories. I believe Adrian Veidt was a terribly misunderstood character in the film because they neglected to explain a lot of what Goode just said about him.

  • i mean that ive had enough of backstories in superhero movies, this one just goes right to the heart of it.

  • The backstory in Watchmen is arguably more interesting than the main story. The main story is (intentionally) a bit of a wild goose chase, but the meat of the story is seeing how the various events and characters tie together through flashbacks and stuff, and seeing how that *fits* together with the main story.

  • HOTTT :]

  • @lottywood in the movie rorshack calls him gay and when dan is going through his computer you can see a file called boys
