I heard this concert, maybe, more than 10 years ago on NHK-FM. Later it was released by NAXOS titled "Italian and French Opera Arias",however, the CD excluded the most important song of which name unfortunately I have not remembered accurately.According to the Japanese name translated it was "The most wonderful place". Is there anyone who knows the right name of this song ?
@rabbit055jp Hi there, I can certainly give you the original Slovak translation, which is "Najkrajsi kut v sirom svete." While this might not help you if you don't speak that language, it can help you find it online because some CDs keep the original names of the songs. This song was composed by a Slovak; therefore, you might be able to find it as it is. Also this song was one of the favorite of Mr. Dvorsky repertoire during his concert days.
@PragueImport Thanks for the response. However I think I made a mistake.I should have asked the name of the song which means in English "The most wonderful place in the world" This song "E lucevan le stelle" composed by Jacomo Puccini in his opera "Tosca" is one of the most popular Aria in the world which no one know this name at least they are classical music fans, especilly Arias in Opera.
@rabbit055jp Hi, the Japanese transled is not quite correct because original name of this song is "Pieseň o rodnej zemi (The Song about My Homeland)" and people know this song as "Najkrajší kút v šírom svete (The most wonderful place in wide world) " what is the first verse line this song.
@Freddie99svk Thank you for the more accurate information about the song I would like to know.Unfortunately I now nothing about Slovak however, the first verse line sounds like "Najikrasi sirom svete........" . Sometimes Japanese translations reflect the feeling from the song rather than their original names which might have led me to made a mistake.Anyway, the song Mr.Dvorsky sang at the concert has best moved me.........
@GREATWHITEish I don't understand what you mean. You don't like him? I think in this aria he is better than Pavarotti (of course, in his repertory, Pavarotti is better!)
Bravo,good voice!
