Seriously I was there for this game and it was rammed the ladies fought hard a excellent game it was to , HOWEVER for the narrow minded and ignorant people out whom I assume are more than likely men.... I reckon it's great that women are finally given free rein to play what sports they want to, instead of being restricted to 'ladylike' ones, as they were in my day. I spent my childhood in Aus being forced to play sodding netball year round at school while the boys got to play footy (rugby union) in the winter and cricket in the summer. I got fed up, cut my hair short so I could pass as a boy and joined cricket and soccer teams outside school. I got found out in the end but it was worth it!

why are people trashing womens rugby... I saw some brilliant fast paced rugby at the WRWC at guildford last year (2010), as good as any mens internationals to watch, maybe not so physical but very fast and agile. some of these girls would be a match for most town club 1st teams!

should women play rugby? of course they should, there's more determination and guts running out on a womens rugby field that you'll ever find on a premiership footy game full of overpaid fairies falling over.

@planejane101 in defense to us we rely on scrums and rucks just as much as men.. they're really important parts of our game, obviously if we come up against a team which is much stronger and our scrum is not as good as theirs, we'd rely on getting the ball out to the backs much more than normal, but that goes for men too. Ref was a disgrace and don't seem to know how to control a free flowing game . If the ref wasn't so fixed on being quick to penalizing the Black Ferns the score england would have been beaten by a higher score. Good on the Ferns . Now we have the women and men 15 a side world championship.
