@zenlstate These specs are for the HLVW. Do a little more research before posting next time. The trucks in the vid are 15.9l V8 twin turbo Mercedes pushing 503hp and have a auto tranny. And there are only around 80 of them and have only been around for the last 5 or 6 years not since 1992.

I may have been wrong about the specs of this version of the truck but Canada does indeed have over 1200 of this size Mercedes trucks for logistics. The specs I gave are obviously for the standard version back in Canada.

I imagined this armoured version would need more HP. Canada is even upgrading the armour on the M-113 APC they have on Afghan. All the 37 tanks (20 Leo2 and 17 Leo1C2), 100 LAV3 and the logistics trucks Canada has in Afghan have had armour upgrades.

We do not have a "Standard" version of these trucks. The specs you gave are for a completely different truck, the HLVW or Heavy Logistics Vehicle Wheeled based on the Steyer M91 Percheron design and produced by UTDC in Canada. The trucks you are speaking of are 1989 models and we purchased them in 1992. This truck, the AHSVS (Armoured Heavy Support Vehicle System) we have approx 80 of which half a dozen remain in canada for training purposes.
