Fascinating! So you can only be one kind of opera singer, ok, good to know. But is it possible to be able to sing both baritone and rock, two completely different music styles?
in opera and classical you're more limited to your vocal range. But your vocal range can change due to various things. Tenors can turn into baritones and lighter baritones can ascend to the tenor range etc. In rock-music/pop music it's more about your style than your range. Many baritone heavy metal singers f.x. sing in a very high range of notes. Even soprano notes, which you've probably heard in falsetto form, but exist as higher voice registers as well.
I`m awaiting him portraying a good-person role, instead of an evil one like he's used. I bet he's a fantastic person in real life and deserves a character that depicts him in that way.
have you not heard Christopher Lee sing "The Magic of the Wizard's Dream" by Rhapsody? This wasn't exactly amazing you tea bagging monkey fucker, but listen to "The Magic of the Wizard's Dream" and you will hear his real potential.. He is a good singer, what does your band play anyways? Hardcore? emo? screamo? fucking cock licking queer.
See? That statement actually had some validity to it (subjective validity, but still, validity). Rather than reiterating your contemptuous "blah blah blah" post, you actually put some thought into that newer one.
No wonder, his complete name is Christopher Frank Carandini Lee, last heir of the marquises of Sarzano. His grand mother was Marie Carandini, a famous Soprano.
84, an international acting and musical star, charismatic and intellegent... The list of attributes goes on and he manages to sum most of it up in this one clip.
Truly, one like no other.

The beginning of Jago's spine-chilling credo from Verdi's Otello, if anyone was curious.
Credo in un Dio crudel
che m'ha creato simile a sè
e che nell'ira io nomo.
I believe in a cruel God
who created me in His image
and in my wrath I speak his name.

Actually he is a dramatic bass. In The Return of Captain Invincible he sings pretty sonorous low D. And no baritone can sing such a low D.
F.e. Vin Diesel is a baritone.
Though Christopher Lee has one of the greatest voices ever.
Other basses (actors) are f.e. Michael Clarke Duncan and Kevin Grevioux.

When singing opera, can you master different styles or are you always only a baritone, only a tenor, etc?
Kotlettbengt 2 years ago
You can only be one !! Tenor, baritone or bass bass ! Lee is an excellent baritone, but he never could sang a tenor part !!
