  • This is a man whom truly earned his Knighthood.

  • He is so awesome! I want to meet him so bad!!!

  • The beginning of Jago's spine-chilling credo from Verdi's Otello, if anyone was curious.

    Credo in un Dio crudel

che m'ha creato simile a sè

    e che nell'ira io nomo.

I believe in a cruel God

who created me in His image

and in my wrath I speak his name.

  • Pure class.

  • He's good, but the acoustics in that room make it sound terrible.

  • HE IS!!! THE PERFECT MEN..!!! <3<3<3

  • WOOW!!

  • Christopher Lee is EPIC!

  • his great grandmother and her 5 daughters were opera singers, no kidding

  • MEME DRACULA chante et en plus beau coffre , MERCI MONSIEUR LEE

  • Actually he is a dramatic bass. In The Return of Captain Invincible he sings pretty sonorous low D. And no baritone can sing such a low D.

F.e. Vin Diesel is a baritone.

Though Christopher Lee has one of the greatest voices ever.

Other basses (actors) are f.e. Michael Clarke Duncan and Kevin Grevioux.

  • James Earl Jones is bass too right?

  • @TheWarmLittleCentre Yes, he is.

  • @TheWarmLittleCentre James Earl Jones is pretty much a definition of Bass *lol*

  • He actually is partly Italian.

  • YES YOU CAN !!

  • *_*

  • When singing opera, can you master different styles or are you always only a baritone, only a tenor, etc?

  • You can only be one !! Tenor, baritone or bass bass ! Lee is an excellent baritone, but he never could sang a tenor part !!

  • Fascinating! So you can only be one kind of opera singer, ok, good to know. But is it possible to be able to sing both baritone and rock, two completely different music styles?

  • @Kotlettbengt

in opera and classical you're more limited to your vocal range. But your vocal range can change due to various things. Tenors can turn into baritones and lighter baritones can ascend to the tenor range etc. In rock-music/pop music it's more about your style than your range. Many baritone heavy metal singers f.x. sing in a very high range of notes. Even soprano notes, which you've probably heard in falsetto form, but exist as higher voice registers as well.

    I think not.

  • Christopher Lee is the Man! End of conversation.

  • Is the blonde his wife!?

  • No, she is the translater

  • I love it. Sings fantastic opera piece: "Can I sing?"

  • I`m awaiting him portraying a good-person role, instead of an evil one like he's used. I bet he's a fantastic person in real life and deserves a character that depicts him in that way.

  • Legendary voice

  • WOW he's still got a voice at that age. lucky him.

  • Wow.

    Favorited. =D

  • that's a pretty powerful set of lungs for a guy in his 80s. no signs of weakening whatsoever. maybe he really is a vampire..

  • Or an immortal wizard. XD Saruman and Gandalf were Maiar aka demigods in Lord of the Rings.

  • Christopher Lee is the greatest actor, singer, and gentleman ever.

  • Fucking badass.

  • God Bless Christopher Lee! One of the great, dependable actors and his voice is always a pleasure to listen to, singing or otherwise! :)

  • Christopher Lee è un grande...

  • And you do what, for a living? Flip burgers? Go to school?

Please grow up before you comment again.

  • have you not heard Christopher Lee sing "The Magic of the Wizard's Dream" by Rhapsody? This wasn't exactly amazing you tea bagging monkey fucker, but listen to "The Magic of the Wizard's Dream" and you will hear his real potential.. He is a good singer, what does your band play anyways? Hardcore? emo? screamo? fucking cock licking queer.

  • This man is a legend. Let's hear you sing an opera when yiu're in the latter part of your eighties.

  • If you don't have anything intelligent or acute to post, you shouldn't be posting at all.

  • See? That statement actually had some validity to it (subjective validity, but still, validity). Rather than reiterating your contemptuous "blah blah blah" post, you actually put some thought into that newer one.

That wasn't so hard, was it?

  • Well...kinda.

  • Words to live by

  • this man is the paradigm of all actors in hollywood

  • No wonder, his complete name is Christopher Frank Carandini Lee, last heir of the marquises of Sarzano. His grand mother was Marie Carandini, a famous Soprano.

  • Oh, wow, he should have recorded some songs and arias with that impressive voice.

  • 84, an international acting and musical star, charismatic and intellegent... The list of attributes goes on and he manages to sum most of it up in this one clip.

Christopher Lee is the apotheosis of excellence.

  • He is actyally 86 years :)

  • @Gigas0101 - don't forget... WWII veteran

  • @toured87 Who did secret missions for Churchill alongside IAN FLEMING.

  • Honest and talented, Christopher Lee is indeed a man of humour and charm. This is Landon Forbes and I say long live Christopher Lee!

  • Does anybody know which opera this is from?

  • It's Iago's "Credo in un Dio crudel" (I believe in a cruel God) from Giuseppe Verdi's Otello. It's a great opera - and a great villain! :-)

  • Thank you!

  • Man, he's so amazing. He's a true inspiration for us all. We should all follow in his footsteps.

  • Thank you! I completely agree! An actor of his stature deserves to leave his mark on history.

  • grande LEE

  • Quest'uomo è il mio mito. xD Grazie per questo video! XD

  • Wow! Dude's got a powerful set of lungs, that's for sure!
