I heard that this whole Dawn Smith story was a fraud, perpetrated by Moveon-dot-org to try and get support for the health care bill. No one ever heard from/about her since Congress passed the controversial bill, or since several Congressmen who voted for it were voted out of office.
When those who oppose a public option are denied coverage by their insurance company as Dawn's did, they will change their minds. Only when it happens to THEM will they do something, not when it happens to others.

These stories are important because many people in group employers plans are benefitting from denial of care to others, and the are unaware of it.
I use Cigna. And it looks like my insurer wants to kill people.
