guitar needs to be louder compared to the song. should record with a mic close to the amp while listening to the song in headphones and then overdub the song and the mic recording of your guitar afterwards.
lots more work but i think it'd sound better.
and you should put an empty space at the begging of the mp3 of the song so that you can hit the first notes of the song as well.
