If I may ask what is your native language? That is a quite good translation except for moan. Chant (which is close to the French verbe chanter, to sing) is good but is usually used in songs that involve chanting (saluting God or another individual in the form of a poem or even maybe an elegy such as in this case). So chant suits probably the best. Thanks!
@heartscience if anyone here speaks farsi. Chant = "Sho'aar". and Nohe/Maddahi is not Sho'aar, its actually "She'r" which is Poem or Song. So singing is a correct verb, but since it is associated with the Haraam that Music Companies it the west use it we dont like using the verb "sing". But it is ok, sing is correct. Sing, Recite, Perform are all correct. but chant and moan dont fit into the description and do not explain the action done correctly.
This gives me hope in life

why did you write "singing" ? i thought you dont call it or eve consider it as songs!!

Well that's the best verbe I could come up with, would you have had another alternative?

i dont know english isn't my tongue language but maybe you could have say chant or moan.
in fact they are a bit like songs and people are actually moving their bodies to the tune only music is missing here, so why not
