Don't know that's the point of this. If it's aimed at UN, at least use a UN official language like Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian or Spanish

The point of this video is obviously to raise domestic awareness regarding the issue of Taiwan's UN membership in Taiwan.

And seeing as its target audience is the Taiwanese populace, it makes sense to put it in Taiwanese - rather than a UN official language that people in Taiwan don't speak. Duh.
