@tatvin Of course it would be better not to happen anywhere - but im just saying if it does have to happen - why does it always seem the good people that get the hardest hit - never the a-holes - i would MUCH rather have seen the warmongering USA get this tsunami and nuclear disaster than the peaceful japanese.

@BiggerThinking1 Really? Because the policy of a few justifies the suffering of many? Even in America, or the middle east, many, MANY, more people do not want what their country does. If you were to say every corrupt politician, corrupt businessmen etc. was on an island, and you wished a tsunami hit them there - then yeah, I'd say go for it. But I wouldn't wish this pain on anyone who doesn't deserve it, and so many in the places you said don't.

Ive been to both countries - amongst many others - over a dozen - and Japan is priceless - the way the world should be - an almost perfect model - staggeringly beautiful geography (alpine mountains, snow, rivers, natural hotsprings, islands, forests - beautiful, and the nicest people Ive ever encountered.)

@BiggerThinking1 Sometimes I think if the world would have been a better place if Japan would have won WW2 but then again we will never know if everyone would have been their slaves they are nice people but their nastiness can equal their kind hearts. Maybe we would be travelling inner & outer space right now with Japans victory after all they have 1 of the best space plans out there now. A Hug & Kiss can solve so many problems.

Carl Sagan was a great speaker. In my eyes Earth has been severely messed up and that is not good for our species. Now Life will go on and this comment is probably just a insignificant jumble of words. But once we fix world wide famine, disease, and our rediculous, illogical wars we can satisfy our hunger for adventure. Great, educating video thanks for the upload.
