The voice is a bit shaky but otherwise it is very good, but still prefer Tebaldi in this aria.

I agree, its very sad. There has been a definite decline, and it absolutely breaks my heart.

Rendre grace a Dieu that we still have these old recordings, though.

live and studio - i dont go to the opera anymore, i don't liked what i hear today.

Voices are smaller today.

but i don't like the sound of her voice, also in italian she is lacking italian bites in her singing, i saw her in New York i taught her voice was small. That is my opinion, and many times she sings aria that too big for her voice. I know a lot of peoples likes her, but

i don't. I don't like her personality, she has a big ego.

Peut-être Callas ici privilégie la voix à la ligne de chant .Au fil du temps ses aigus me font de plus en plus mal.Mais c'est Callas!

I am so grateful for this posting of Pace Pace Mio Dio. I think Maria Callas was brilliant for this aria and indeed the role. She sounds divine singing Verdi.

Thank you for posting this aria, but for me is callas in this role not in her best form (I think so)
