  • You know the part about experience. Well, not everyone HAS experience in the field that they want to get into, this is probably why this person put down assembly. I desire to get into HR. Do I have HR experience? No. Do I have office experience? Sure, if you count several temp jobs that last 1 month back in the 1990's. So, should I put down my 2 jobs in office work and leave the rest of my experience out?

  • This video contains some very good tips really; I think it could be useful and helpful for anyone who'd watch it, thank you for sharing it.

  • Thanks for the resume advice. It is a shame that universities don't put more emphasis on this in writing courses.

  • A useful lesson in writing resumes. Useful for us all, no matter how well we think we can do this.

  • This is a great video on resume writing tips. You have provided things to me that I never would have thought of before.

  • As a manager having to look through stacks of resumes and applications, I have to agree 100% with the comment on details. If I have a hundred applicants why even read the one that can't line up his bullet points or use font consistently? This is a good video. Thanks for posting it.

  • This was really helpful to me. I am looking for a job and I found a lot of great tips in this video.

  • Tips for writing a perfect resume. Skills and Experience sections. If you have a skill you must show it. Write your experience in a way that relates to the position you are applying for. Show that you have value.

  • Great video! This is very helpful in polishing resumes expecially now that many people has just graduated college this March.

  • It's really helpful, I will definitely follow this tutorial.

  • It's really helpful, I will definitely follow this tutorial.

  • I like it. It's about time someone posts a video that people can really benefit from.

  • There are many valid points in this video, but the one about experience may not be. If you look closely in the education area this person did not graduate until 2007. Both positions in experience are precompletion of the degree, so much of the experience will not be related. I agree that they should highlight the principal position more, but the others should also be there.

Your use of the political pictures is very unprofessional.

  • Well it all makes sense but some of it contradicts what other cv experts say. Finding out what an employer wants so you can tweak your cv to them is often very difficult.

  • This is great to have a guide that tells you exactly what and what not to do about these types of things. At school they just say what do to and what not to do, but not what really works. thanks.

  • It is nice to have a step-by-step explaination about what is good and what is bad for a resume. I always get stuck when it comes to writing a resume. It is hard to figure it out with just a template so it is nice to have videos with someone who knows what they are talking about telling you what to do. Thanks for the help.

  • Thanks for the tips. This will really help me because I'm going to be looking for a job in a couple months.

  • Great video showing you how to properly set up your resume. You need to look good on paper if you want to get an interview. Great information on making sure to properly format your resume with consistency.

  • Great detailed approach and useful explanation of what each segment of a resume can do for you. I liked how the points were re-iterated in print on blank screens. Not overwhelming amount of information.

  • I enjoyed the reason behind every error makes you look bad

  • Good video. The author focused on a lot of details that may otherwise be overlooked by the average person. I particularly liked how he pointed out the difference in font for the titles -- which did appear very similar -- but to me displays a lack of focus throughout writing the resume, and the neglect of double-checking. I imagine that would particularly irk an employer in that desired field.

  • Great video. I liked the examples of putting your best foot forward. This video really highlights details that are often ignored.

  • i really liked the video and the tips given in it. it brings into notice lot many things which we generally ignore.

  • I think this is a very informative video. It's put together in a way that anyone could understand. I've always wanted to have an extremely professional resume and I think your video is a good step in the right direction.

  • Great video with a lot of good resume tips.

  • Great video. I liked the attention to small details and how they can add up. Great job at talking about relevant experience and how to best show off the skills and abilities that someone has.

  • Excellent job in pointing out several critical parts in resume creation. I will certainly take them to heart in the future. :)

  • As someone who interviews, I see these really common and silly mistakes all too often. This video should be required viewing for all applicants.

  • A great video that stresses the importance of selling your skills, leaving out the fluff that has nothing to do with the position your applying for and making sure the formating does not contradict your skills.

  • Interesting video! You are so right about resumes! They do get interviews, if they're the right sort.

  • This is the best of all the resume videos and will come in very handy, thanks

  • This is the best of all the resume videos

  • As an employer I can tell you that if I had two resumes from two different people who were otherwise equal. Once of them had an error on their resume and the other didn't... who do you think I would hire?

A perfect resume is definitely an asset.

  • Hmm... I managed to do just that but in the worst way possible :)

It should be: "to let the employer feel this was made by a human being instead of a machine."

  • While I agree a resume should try to be perfect, there might be room for one small error somewhere, to let the employer feel this was made by a human being and a machine.

Just a small, not really suggestion, but idea.
