  • this is what you call NEW WORLD ORDER happening

2 months ago this was suspected to happen yet they never saw the recession coming or the banks up to their old tricks ? utter rubbish

get a grip people, get the scum out of parliament

  • potato

  • GREEEAAAT! Hung Parliament happened but it's bad. Freaking markets are gonna go down til a stable government is made :/

  • clegg wants pr because it suits him not for the love of us - as the saying goes BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR!

  • Clegg cannot prop up a Tory government with PR as an accepted demand, if he goes into a coalition with the Tories without PR the LibDems are finished as a party.

  • what i believe Gordon Brown is maybe considering - yes - he as a rather constitutional right to remain as temporary caretaker - ultimately, if talks were to proceed between the lib-lab - outrightly Gordon Brown will in fact step down - brown's stance is mere posturing to steer the labour party, wholly - not himself - on majority ruling....

  • Well.. you guys got your wish

  • I feel it's time for electoral reform too, but also think that where theres no clear winner, the Prime Minister should come from the party with the most seats, who should be able to get the most talented MP's from all the parties into Govt,so next week Cameron should be PM,Vince Cable as Chancellor, Frank Field in Social Security,Hague in Foreign Office maybe etc etc

  • so was the idea vote little parties so the lab and con don't have majorities... anyways they don't so worked out.

  • How is this a good idea?

How on earth is a hung parliament a good idea?

It produces a weak and corrupt government. A Government that can make BAD decisions on a majority basis, is 100x stronger than a government that can make GOOD decisions on a minority basis.

This is totally retarded. You've fucked up the country for the next 6 months.

  • this is what a hung parliament is all about.. :¬D

  • SOUNDA SENSIBLE

  • the webpage keeps saying incorrect email link broken or hmmmmmmm?

    like Putney anything but Tory!

  • Mmm-mm! Bring on that proportional representation!

  • please vote tactically to get as many lib dem mps as poss. cos they will push for proportional representation.then at the next election your vote will count and perhaps you would consider voting for me.i am going to form the yorkshire fishcake preservation party.they are the ones with a layer of fish sandwiched between layers of potato fried in batter and are much nicer than parsley fishcakes.yummy.and even harry ramsden's don't make them anymore, and he was from guiseley.

  • @everlastingleet

keep fish in fishcakes - definitely!

  • @everlastingleet Now thats a party, I'd vote for, one minor little problem... I don't like fish.

  • And don't be swayed by all this talk of 'how the markets will react' - it's scaremongering. Moneymen aren't going to stop doing business with one of Europe's biggest markets just because we have a coalition government.

  • After 65 years of red, blue, red, blue, the country is purple with rage. Its now time for the golden years with the LibDems.

  • might be more independents than Lib Dems if the Protest Vote is sucessfull

How's about a coalition government with 40 Ind. and Cons. or Labour..or perhaps a minority coalition government with Lib Dem and the Independents.

Or imagine a majority of Independents!!

Maybe I should sleep a little..?

    Karsten Evans

    South Swindon Protest Vote candidate

  • Don't expect anything to change after the election whoever you vote for. All the main parties are loyal to organizations like Common Purpose, the Bilderberg group, the EU and the globalist banking cartel. All are aiding the subversion of the UK on behalf of the EU. All support the growing police state, the aggressive wars, the banker bailouts and the destruction of British freedom and sovereignty. The voting system is there to give the illusion of choice. Research the new world order.

  • KICK OUT THE TOP 2 !

    Vote Clegg/Cable 2010

  • @janebusby Lib Dems are the same as LabServative - do some research on Mr Cleggs background

  • Why aren't there any comments on this? Well, this is a brilliant idea, anyway, kudos on getting people together to try and shake up the electoral system, and (hopefully) pave the way for progressive electoral reform, the triumph of independent MPs, and the defeat of the Whips!

  • and damn the Independents and other candidates to oblivion if yuou follow this advic4e to vote for a hung parliament!

Dont we the people deserve MP's who will represent us not their party?? Who are you voting for if you vote for a party not an Independent MP??

You'll never know koz the party machinery is so damned good that they never focus on what they'll actually do rather than spinning the party machinery out at every question!

  • @a41dog Dog the only way you are going to get a Parliament worth having is by NOT voting for the same old regime. A hung Parliament will force reform and give people a real voice in politics, not the shame two-party carve up we have now.

  • @a41dog Actually a hung parliament is the only situation under which we're likely to see electoral reform. Alternative Vote (the most widely proposed system) would be considerably better for independents, as it allows voters to specify their favourite candidates by order of preference, meaning that a vote for a "minority" would no longer be a wasted vote.

  • @a41dog but voting tactically to ensure the largest possible number of lib dem mps makes the introduction of proportional representation more likely and then we can all vote for who we want without our votes being wasted under the current first past the post system.

  • @a41dog

Perhaps one of the benefits would be a coordinated effort to seek out evidence and advice to inform their policies? A hung parliament would hopefully go some way to liberating MPs from their party whips; however I feel that parties may indeed have some worth still in them. They hold internal conferences and secure funding which hopefully as a result of a hung parliament would be channelled into evidence-based policies rather than channelled into inter-party slander.
