I generally hate anything that's not canon, but in Gundam Wing... I just can't not put Heero and Duo together. I don't care about Relena, but I really feel like it's Heero/Duo or none at all.
She's kind of annoying, it's true, but not awful... But she's not the person I, as a viewer, would ever want Heero to end up in a relationship with.

Umm.. first of all you can't label Hildi a mary sue when she barely turns up in the show.
Second Relena is not weak. She may not be physically strong but she's willing to take on the responsibility of bringing peace to every human being alive at age 15. Also, Heero himself said that she's far stronger then he is. Unless you think he's a lire.

The second time she followed him was because she wanted to stop him and her brother (who she thought was an ex Knight from her kingdom) to stop fighting a meaningless battle in Antarctica. Even Trowa said that their fight was completely stupid. Relena never followed Heero after that, nor did she ever ask for his help. Heero always helped her of his own free will.

i'm a fellow yaoi fan of this series but i've only seen the numbering system used for #'s 1-5. you think you can explain who all the numbers are to me? i'm kinda confused.
Ginga, honey, it's all about the subtext. Besides, we're talking yaoi FANFIC, not canon. Geez, I wrote 6x2, and there is nothing in the series that remotely suggests anything between Zechs and Duo. I like to think I kept their characters pretty consistent with canon, but no, I do not think there's a secret message in GW that Zechs and Duo were getting it on. It is not a canon relationship, and I'm not trying to convince anyone that it is. I just tried to make it plausible. That's all.

One thing I don't understand about yaoi fans is the way they seemingly try to force the series to be what it isn't. At no point in GW is their even a hint of Heero and Duo being a couple.
There are many people who have their issues with Relena. I personally think she grew the most out of any character in the series and is a great character overall. However, just because you hate Relena, I find it a little sad if you ignore the relationship between her and Heero.

While I personally don't think the Gundam pilots are gay, no once can truly say whether they are or not. However, judging by what happened during the series, none of the pilots did or said anything to make me believe they were gay. Especially not Heero and Duo.

Nicely done video- I think the song fits very well. I'm a new GW fan (started with the awesome For the One You Love by Dragen Eyez, where Duo battles anorexia). I definately ship the pairs- Heero/Duo, Quatre &Trowa are so cute together! and there are a couple of authors who have Zechs Marquis/Milliardo Peacecraft & Wufei together.
I would've liked this to be a yaoi series, but those people & their notions of who we should love, etc... sigh

ITS TRUE!!! The script for the anime actualy was going to be of Heero and Duo, BUT due to the people reviewing the script, Relena was added.... I found this out from a fellow Yaoi fan who read the script.^^

For example, her being overly optimistic and idealistic is a flaw in itself. At least she's not a God-mode Sue like Lacus is in Gundam SEED. Now that was a Mary Sue.
I was annoyed by Relena because I felt she was a mary sue. Being "Naive" as she was, is not a flaw. It's like saying Bella in that awful book Twilight isn't a sue because she's clumsy. Everyone, even Heero, Loved Relena, she was the perfect symbol of hope that you were supposed to love and idolize. That's why I felt she was a sue.

@wingzerosnuggles Not sure how he ships but I think he has a soft spot for Hilde since he stuck her into both EW endings. In Preventer 5, he still has them together as well. I was actually hoping for Akemi Omode (Blind Target writer) but Sumisawa will probably do a good job. If he's going to draw on the GW novelizations by Sou Kamishiro, there's a good chance of Duo/Hilde. Kamishiro used 同棲/dousei instead of 同居/doukyo for their live-in status. The former is only used for couples.

What exactly does anything depicted in official artwork have to do with the show? I've seen official artwork of the Gundam pilots performing as a band. Is there any significance in that?
While I personally don't think the Gundam pilots are gay, no once can truly say whether they are or not. However, judging by what happened during the series, none of the pilots did or said anything to make me believe they were gay. Especially not Heero and Duo.

I agree about relena. she is boring and slightly annoying the only thing i liked about her was that she tried to shoot Lady Une, sadly her aim is really bad but other than that I cant stand her... 1x2 All the way for me! great vid by the way!

Nicely done video- I think the song fits very well. I'm a new GW fan (started with the awesome For the One You Love by Dragen Eyez, where Duo battles anorexia). I definately ship the pairs- Heero/Duo, Quatre &Trowa are so cute together! and there are a couple of authors who have Zechs Marquis/Milliardo Peacecraft & Wufei together.
I would've liked this to be a yaoi series, but those people & their notions of who we should love, etc... sigh

@RayaHinato while i agree that relena is more than a little useless, she is not, by definition, a mary-sue. she is an actual character in the series. she is, at best and worst, poorly designed, but even i can't accuse her of sue-ing.

She isn't really necessary as say the pilots are but they keep trying to make her pivotal. She had no noticeable flaws....except maybe the mental instability and stalking. lol. She just to....plastic.

AHHAA! *Almost falls backwards laughing* Holy shit, she IS a Mary Sue in the anime! I was like ten or something when I first saw the anime on TV, and the only thing I remember is that I loved the song and that Heero snapped a broken bone back into place after Duo rescued him. Which was awesome. ^,^ I should go rewatch the entire thing just to see all the Duo and Heero ness. And the other boys. WTF did Relena do, anyway? Pine after Heero or some shit like that? ^^

What I really don't understand is how Heero and Relena can even go together. Even if I wasn't a diehard Heero/Duo fan girl, I just don't get Heero and Relena together! I mean, what use is she? ITS TRUE!!! The script for the anime actualy was going to be of Heero and Duo, BUT due to the people reviewing the script, Relena was added.... I found this out from a fellow Yaoi fan who read the script.^^

There were a lot of stray frames in that AMV, and I didn't really think the song fit. All in all it was okay but you also reused a lot of the same shots. :)

Yay there really are some good Gundam Wing fans left! A lot of Relena fans tend to be very snooty, not all, just most. So I love Duo and heero :D Plus they have more moments then RelenaXHeero xD

@Ishu Not flaming here but Relena wasn't a Mary Sue. Mary Sues tend to be annoying because they're perfect. Most people are annoyed with Relena specifically because she's not perfect. For example, her being overly optimistic and idealistic is a flaw in itself. At least she's not a God-mode Sue like Lacus is in Gundam SEED. Now that was a Mary Sue.

I was annoyed by Relena because I felt she was a mary sue. Being "Naive" as she was, is not a flaw. It's like saying Bella in that awful book Twilight isn't a sue because she's clumsy. Everyone, even Heero, Loved Relena, she was the perfect symbol of hope that you were supposed to love and idolize. That's why I felt she was a sue.
Lacus was terrible as well, but then again so was Seed xD

@wingzerosnuggles Not sure how he ships but I think he has a soft spot for Hilde since he stuck her into both EW endings. In Preventer 5, he still has them together as well. I was actually hoping for Akemi Omode (Blind Target writer) but Sumisawa will probably do a good job. If he's going to draw on the GW novelizations by Sou Kamishiro, there's a good chance of Duo/Hilde. Kamishiro used 同棲/dousei instead of 同居/doukyo for their live-in status. The former is only used for couples.
