what is there not to trust, i have one and i would trust my life on it, these are some of the best knives made today and are built to specific standards, a very good knife to have in your pocket!

@MrRockhardalan That really sucks! did you hear from them on how the spring broke? I haven't hard used mine so mine are all ok. But I have seen some really hard used ones and they do stand up the abuse.
@MrRockhardalan thats why i bought mine from blade ops, i originally bought a regular troodon but wanted a bigger knife, so i returned it and they mailed me a combat troodon in 3 days time, blade ops is very reputable, ive bought many other knives from them and never had a problem.
I bought a combat troodon and after 3 days of normal use, the spring broke. Also I bought a Ultratech and a Scarab. The springs broke in all 3 of these knives after only 3 days! Sucks. A lot of cash paid for each one of these knives that I thought were "Top of the line" Didnt last for more than 3 days each before they broke. I just thought It should be known before another person lays down that knid of cash thinking that they are getting the best. I wont buy another Microtech
I would not have expected a DA auto to go through the side of the sheath like that! And the Dalton fanboys say Microtechs are weak. :p Well, now I know what not to do if I ever save up enough money for a Troodon.
how is the blade lock up on this knife? does it only have a little blade play or a lot? i know all otf knives have some blade play but is the blade play minimum?

Oh man you had me rolling with the sheath, I was like oh man don't do it. I think that I said oh shit at the exact same time that you did. I had a couple regular Troodon's through the years but never a combat one. They are perfect every day blades and the contour of the handle makes cutting really nice. Don't try the leg thing, I did it and can tell you that you'll regret it;)
