There's the RX-78-2 Gundam featured in the original series, the RX-78NT-1 Gundam "Alex" Newtype prototype featured in 0080: War in the Pocket, and the RX-79[G] Ground Gundam featured in the 8th MS Team. The other ones are a RX-79BD-1 Blue Destiny experimental unit (it's a Gundam in all but the head) from the Blue Destiny side story, and the RGM-79SP GM Sniper II of the White Dingo commando team from the Dreamcast game.

It's even debatable if Ground type Gundams are really gundams. The NX-1 was based on one of the prototype RX-78 frames. The RX-79s are basically efficient usage of parts that didn't passed through the RX-78 project quality check. They are more like a field improvisation than a production series or a prototype. As such, spare parts where very limited.

@KevinsKingdom the one in the middle is from the original show Gundam 0079 which is the one year war, the one to the middle left is from Gundam 0080 which takes place in a civilian colony, the one in the middle right is from Gundam 008 Mobile suit team which is more about the federation soldiers then some 14 year old kid piloting a experiment mobile suit, the two on the right & left side in the back i have no idea where they from, the ship is definitely the original white base fortress ship

Then you can watch the 8th MS Team, which is a side story of the first series and takes place during the One Year War. Then you can move on to 0080 -> 0083 -> Z Gundam, ZZ if you wish, Char's Counter-Attack and Unicorn.

Alot of the sillier elements from the original TV series got removed, there were a lot more story about the characters, certain events moved around, things like that. The upcoming anime adaption the perfect way to introduce the original Gundam series to this generation along with the remaining 3 episodes of Unicorn. It's a great year to be a UC fan.

@GalacticCrafter If you're asking what is going to continue the 00 timeline, there currently aren't any plans to continue it. As far as the continuing Gundam franchise, there are 3 things carrying it on. We have the Gundam Unicorn OVAs, the recently announced for kids show Gundam Age, and the even more recently announced Gundam Origin, which is based off a manga retelling of the original Gundam series. Age is a TV series, but we have no idea what format Origin will be released in.

The blue one is from a Mang; Mobile Suit Gundam Blue Destiny. The 'sniper' looking Gundam is a GM model, as is Blue Desteny actually. I cant tell you the exact unit name but, it's a GM. maybe a cold climate GM but I'm not sure.
