  • We fight because we are lied to and believe the lies that are told to us by our government. Wars are started because misfits wants to make a profit from the sacrifice of our sons and daughters to spill their blood on foreign soil. One day, all these profiteers will stand in judgement before God for the choices they have made for the lives of their brothers and sisters. I wonder want excuse they are going to give for their actions?

  • 3:25 "minimize collateral damage" That's exactly the same rhetoric - or should we say propaganda - used in Vietnam. We have the smartest weapons and the most precise bombs, which means we can keep civilians out of the line of fire.

BS then, BS now. Simply not true and yet they believe it.

  • "we do as we're told" not that surprised that that's the mentality. you guys should research milgrams experiment

  • Minimize collateral damage, is that we call a 90% civilian casualty rate?

  • 4:04 "Every Generation has its heroes" - Theres a great quote from Bertolt Brecht (in the play 'Life of Galileo'): Unhappy the land that is in need of heroes...

  • the most ironic think is "we do as we are told" is the same answer when they ask the nazi soldiers why they killed innocent people ........"we do as we are told"..........

  • The guy at the end, who lost his son in 9/11, mowed people down with a machine gun from a helicopter in Vietnam. He says they were dots on the ground so he obviously didn't know if they were armed, whether they were men or women or children. But when his son gets killed he doesn't see the irony of his anger.

  • @llichtveld If there is a hell you will probably burn there.

  • @MrJimshot1990 Well, seeing as there is no evidence to back up the Bronze-age myth known as Christianity, Hell is not a worry for me.

  • Lol but you're as bad as the people you rant about. You hide behind the anonymity of the internet and say terrible things knowing that there will be no repercussion. I guess it would be called trolling.

  • @MrJimshot1990 What have I said that is terrible? That it's ironic that a man who shot people in Vietnam without knowing if they were armed, whether they were men or women or children, gets angry when is son is killed? That's not terrible, that's the truth. It's not terrible to say that Christianity is a Bronze-age myth either, it's true. If you can't handle the truth, that's your problem.

  • precision weapons to eliminate civilian casualties they say...well maybe Israel is getting the out-dated "precision weapons" from the US since they are landing on schools, hospitals, playgrounds, etc.

  • "That is part of democracy"...

Wtf,this is not democracy. It's a fucking plutocracy supported by military corporations and driven by fear, ignorance and greed.

  • man those pilots are so full of shit

just follow your orders blindy and maybe 1 day when they get back they will realise they killed their own family

  • Frankly, that kid who is saying he wants to enlist seems like an actor, he seems very exaggerated.

  • @varnlestoff Perhaps, but I think he exemplifies the type of person who does enlist. His life is not going anywhere and he cant see a future yet he blindly signs up to murder ppl and beleives he will retire...all I can say to him is....good luck with that buddy if the bullets dont get u - ur own conscience will haunt u for all the pain u caused with ur guns/bombs

  • what a nice way to spread democray fuck no wonder everyone hates the US government yet they fucking wonder whyy? they will one day pay for their crimes against humanity!!

  • That kid is a damn fool if he thinks his life's problem will be solved by going into the desert to murder innocent people while fighting an unjust lie of a war. This country should be ashamed, hell we should be ashamed that we the people allow this corruption & greed to con't unchecked, time to get up, stand up!!

  • 'WE DO WHAT WERE TOLD" wake up everybody!

  • "You can hear the dogs barking. They know that something is going to happen."

  • It's documented by the gov't (30 years later) that theGulf of Tonkin was a false flag attack.

  • Corporations use our government to start wars they don't have to fight, so they can make a profit. They put the lives of young men and women in harms way to make a buck. Join the movement and pass a Constitutional Amendment to Abolish "Corporate Personhood" and ban corporations from politics. Take down the Military Industrial Complex. Move To Amend!

  • I'm pretty dissapointed in the human race, I don't know why, I never had any good reason to be optimistic in the first place, other than hope.

  • i hate cops they are so corrupted and organized like the military.. that cop needs to know that he is living a lie his whole life dressed in uniform on a helicopter shooting at "little dots" on the ground and now being a cop and being pissed off that his son was killed in 9/11... he has no idea how much fabrication the gov't puts on the war on terror. before Iraq there was no al-queida but once we came in there came a boom of them.. the victims of 9/11 were used as a tool for war

  • during world war two men went to fight for selfless reasons there was a reverece and a deep conviction to help the opressed now its SELFISH reasons its all me me they join to get somthing out of it!

  • "we do as we are told" ...yeah no wonder this world is full of corruption people rather take orders than think for themselves.

  • that officer took an oath...I hope he remembers his FIRST AND FOREMOST job is to uphold the Constitution of the US.

  • @visafreddy You've never served in the military. That's how it works my friend.

  • @visafreddy You've obviously never served. Taking orders is what it is about. Just because you take orders doesn't mean you think. Whether you agree with the order or not you do it. As long as its lawful- you do it.

  • @visafreddy - I completely understand your point and I strongly agree with it, maybe it's not that people don't use logic to see that some "orders" are morally wrong, it's just that if they don't follow thru, they will be in some deep sh*#. Sadly, it's all about taking care of our own skin, human nature I guess.

  • @visafreddy I THINK THAT WAS THE DEFENSE THE NAZIS USED WHEN ACCUSED OF WAR CRIMES. WE JUST FOLLOWED ORDERS. IN A VIDEO ON HERE THEY ASK A US MARINE GUY IF HE WOULD TAKE GUNS AWAY FROM AMERICAN CITIZENS. HE SAID NO, WE WOULDNT DO THAT. THE REPORTER SAID WHAT IF YOU WERE ORDERED TO DO IT, WOULD TO REFUSE? HE SAID, MARINES FOLLOW ORDERS. I SAY..........STAY OUT OF THE MILITARY

  • what an incredibly enlightening vid this is. i was channel surfing one night and saw little bits of this on pbs and felt sick after watching it. i always knew we spent a ton on weopons and defense, but i didnt know that sometimes it helps dictate our foreign policy. Horrible.

on a lighter, more immature note, that guy who was goint to join the army looked a little like Spock to me

    live long and prosper!

  • and the war on *terrorism* is a war that never ends..

  • The "Stealth Helicopter" that the kid points to was cancelled after only two were built.

  • "I don't know why we fight. We do what we're told." That has to be one of the despicable lines to come out of an American's mouth. It's one thing to follow orders that you do not like. For example, cleaning the dishes. But it is quite another to follow orders blindly. For example, going to war without a Declaration of War as it is stated in the Constitution of these United States. Did the Nuremberg Trials not prove that 'following orders' was not sufficient enough to be innocent?

  • @Tasadaru Troops know what lawful and unlawful orders are. Other than that you do what you're told. Do you think it would help if he understand perfectly "Why" he's there? He has to do it anyway whether he supports it or not. That's civilian control over the military. Do you think the U.S. was really in direct danger during WWII? No. Hell no. Why did we go? Similar reasons we fight today.

  • @MrJimshot1990 You're a tool. Of course America acted in self interest in end of WWII, that's the only reason it lifted a finger. Nazi's like Walt Disney didn't want involvement. But others could see WWII was ruining trade partners. The US waited until Europe had spend itself fighting the Nazis but fallen just short of victory, then stepped in with a material advantage because of the war, cleaned up & started bragging they saved the world. US empire still has a base in Germany 2day.

  • @Tasadaru It might be despicable but at least it is admitted rather than hiding behind the lies

  • @Tasadaru Youre blind anger is amusing. you end with a question of innocence, was that ever the point? sad...

  • @Tasadaru its not a despicable line hes in the miltary he has to do as hes told, but i do agree that following orders blindly is not a good thing

  • poor kid

  • Maybe he's fine now.

I know sad soldiers and fine ones... depends of what you want.

  • actually he died in battle

  • "he died in battle"

What's your source for that bit of information?
