  • how many pullups and dips could you perform before you could do a muscle-up? i'm training for 2 years and i'm not even close to do 1 muscle up.

  • @TheSeverinBarsek I could do lots of pull-ups and dips before I learned the muscle-up. Do a search for my muscle-up tutorial - I go into much more detail there!

  • @Lvivjanyn91 I think freestyle push-up sums it up but you can call em whatever you want!

  • Now that's a proper handstand pushup! :D Tiger bends next aye?

  • @TheOfficialOnHands Thanks! I'm still working on the tiger bend. I can lower onto my elbows, I just can't get back up yet!

  • @alkavadlo ahh yea, same here. Are you struggling with the weight shifting -from elbows to wrists) or the push up?

  • @TheOfficialOnHands Yeah its the shift back onto the hands that I can't get. Just can't seem to initiate any momentum from the forearm position. I haven't tried them in a while though.

  • @alkavadlo yea, me to. However I've had great progression using walls. Rest e a leg at the wall and create a momentum with the other, gives you an idea of how it's supposed to work. Also gottipped on bending the legs far over your head the first time ;)

  • @TheOfficialOnHands Thanks - I'll try that sometime. :)

  • @Lvivjanyn91 Thanks!

  • Fine example of bodyweight training, Mr. Kavadlo. I liked the backhand push up combinations, the FL to MU on the parallel bars and...everything else. I think that a handstand looks perfect when the body is in a straight line. However, most of the handstands that I see are banana-shaped. Could you please briefly explain the main difference between the two? Is one harder to obtain than the other? Thank you.

  • @djaponezu63 Thanks, Mihai! As for the handstand, the banana shape makes it easier to balance, especially if you are doing HSPUs or handwalking. I don't think I've ever seen a FSHSPU that didn't involve some arching of the back. I wrote an article about freestanding handstands that touches upon this a bit more. You can find it on my website or by googling "Al Kavadlo Freestanding Handstand."

  • ur vids inspired me!

  • @reginald953 Thanks, Reginald!

  • Great video and as usual it is inspiring.

  • @BubbaJohnIsKing Thanks!

  • Alkavado, have you ever had any shoulder issues from doing dips, shoulder presses, or other exercises that impact the shoulder? If yes, what did you do to remedy the problem? Thank you.

  • @BubbaJohnIsKing I struggled with tendinitis in the past but nothing too major. Stretching helps as does taking rest when you need it - You gotta listen to your body! Do a google search for "Al Kavadlo Preventing Injuries" and you'll find an article I wrote about it.

  • you play guitar? i knew that))) good video!

  • @yurec777 Thanks! I started playing guitar the same year I started doing pull-ups - 1992!

  • @alkavadlo I'm also playing music (on the drums), and doing pull-ups and other stuff))) cheers!

  • Great work ! Nice handstands , how long have you been practising them ?

  • @xSakicx Thanks! I've been practicing handstands regularly for about 3 years.

  • to bad i only have two thumbs or i would give ten thumbs up ......you one powerful dude Al.... Inspiration with a capitol I

  • @norcalrasta Thanks! I think youtube only lets you vote "thumbs up" one time regardless of how many thumbs you actually have. :)
