  • SHEILA E 4 EVER !!!!!!!!

  • this shit still gives me goosebumps...nothing out on the radio now can touch this...

  • Prince sings backup on pretty much every song he writes for other people. You can hear him behind all of The Time's stuff too.

  • @CoachLoriD Yes, I love spotting his voice in the background; his voice is so distinctive

  • yes she definitely reminds me of her! I watched the movies a few months ago and I had a reoccurence! I was like that's keri Hison!

  • @aricars6263 She's the precious daughter of legendary "70s Santana" percussionist Pete Escovedo. She is the queen of percussion: MASSIVE SKILLS!!

  • that aint weave either, her or the guys.

  • Andre Harrell in the vid, in the years before he fired Puffy from Uptown -- prompting him to start Bad Boy records.

  • is she tito puentes daughter? thats what i heard

  • @aricars6263 goddaughter...he dad is a legendary percussionist for Santana and many others

  • @aricars6263 goddaughter....he dad is a legendary percussionist for Santana and many others

  • If Sheila E ever puts her life-story in a movie, I think Rosario Dawson could play her.

  • @ProximaB hmm..good choice. i could see it.

  • @ProximaB I agree with you on rosario dawson she is fine and sexy like sheila with a seductuive toughness

  • @chaliceofchange Seductive toughness... that's a good way to describe both of their attitudes.

  • Ladies Take 5!! except for Sheila, Oh Sheila!

  • Saw her at the Prince concert in Herning, Denmark, autumn 2010.

..Just like back in the 80`...still got a crush on her. Really happy, that I experienced the 80´...best music ever ! :-)

  • Just saw Prince and Sheila E play in Oakland! Put it down on Tha Town

  • Comment removed

  • I must have been about 10 years old when this movie came out, and I had a BIG TIME CRUSH ON SHEILA E.!!!!!

  • Ladies......."Ladies take 5" LMFAO!! Man those where the DAYZ!!!

  • Doesn't look like it to me. If I had the chance to go back to those day...Damn, I try even if there was a chance that it would kill me.

  • It's ironic that Prince became part of the rap scene in the movie "Krush Groove" (by accident through Sheila E. and his songs from "Romance 1600") because during that time he hated rap with a passion.

  • Prince did this when I saw him at the Dome the other year.

    Was well happy about that.

  • Fat boys, Run DMC, Sheila, Curtis, ..classic

  • I am 55 and my daughter is 35 and we both love Shelia E

  • Sheila E. mah hometown hero!

  • Prince.... what a genius

  • u can thank prince again in case if u didnt notice that voice

  • Blair Underwood is wearing a JPS Lotus hat. Unbelievable.

  • Got the pleasure of seeing Sheila E on Friday night at Prince's concert. This lady still GOT IT! Much respect to her.

  • @caramel599 Saw her fri and sat! and he she is even more beautiful now than she was back then!

  • "...eeeeeaaaaUUUUUHHHHTHAT'S WHAT WE ARE, we all want a Looove Bizarre. Hea, lauh lauh lauh lauhaa!"

  • Man I remember when this came out.. No offense to Run DMC, LL and the others. But no one could believe Sheila was going to be in this. At the time "Because of Prince" Sheila E was a MAJOR music star....

  • prince fucked everybody damn so

  • If Keri Hilson ever did a video she should so this one!!! she reminds me of her!

  • shelia was a bad bitch no disrespect

  • if i find the 5 people that dont like this is a done deal

  • Six pepole were gay in the 80s

  • man i was in love with her when this came out, now i like her daughter keri hilson:D

  • Sheila E is the shit!!The total package!

  • is it me or does keri hilson look similar to sheila e?

  • @neouberx I was watching this movie the other night, and it's like Keri Hilson has copied Sheila's style to a T.

  • @LAJCain

    Yep.

  • @LAJCain Originality is pretty much dead. Anything that someone thinks is new: Chances are, someone already went there & did that.

  • @LAJCain You are so damn right. She truly did.

  • @LAJCain My name is Keri, I'm so hairy and it's so scary. Do the fake girl rock.

  • @LAJCain Keri who?

  • @neouberx yup thats true i thought i was the only one

  • @neouberx lol i was just lookin and going so that's where kerri stole her old skool ny look from

  • @neouberx I can see how you might compare the two but this was just one of MANY looks that Sheila E. had. I think Sheila's features are more refined.

  • @neouberx just you

  • @neouberx dont mention that talentless trick here! its all about the Legendary Sheila E !

  • Prince and his crew were the sh!t in the 80's.

  • @recovering16..Krush Groove which came out in 85

  • Still love this movie and Sheila E. still looks so beautiful!

  • @lowell502 What movie was this from?

  • 80s love love the music those were the days.

  • @escapade90 can't agree with you more bro those were the times

  • I like it.... U like it.....WE LIKE IT!!!

  • The 80s look so enjoyable, I was born in 87. Man I watch all these 80s music videos, movies and man I'd choose that anyday over the bullshit thats in the media now. Music sucks ass now, I thank God for youtube where I can search for videos such as this one:-)

  • Man CRUSH GROOVE was the movie back then!!! WHAAAT??!! Like the kids now go crazy for YOU GOT SERVED or BRING IT ON,we had our day though : ) Anybody remember FAST FORWARD??? L M A O!!!! That was the flick too!!!

  • i met her yesterday at a nightclub. so nice!

  • @sherylsheeny COOL!!! Did she dance??!

  • @skfj67 the dj actually asked her if she remembered the moves to this song and she got out on the dance floor and she still has it!

  • @sherylsheeny You know he creamed on himself when she did those sexy moves! LOL!!

  • @0:30 an innocent baby seal dies to make that waistcoat

  • Wow!! Forgot all about this luvlee tune~ thanks for posting!!

  • That club Disco Fever was up in the Bronx.

  • Good music can com from any era. But it has to come from persons who study music and play instruments. Using computer software is no substitute for the hard labor of learning to write music. Many teens in the music business are not adept in writing music and don't produce anything of quality. Sheila E is an example of someone who worked and payed her dues in music. Any performer would like to have a "sit in" with her.

  • @DatbeRight I have to agree with you there. Studying music is the harder than using beats on a beat machine.

  • SO glad this trend ran it's course. I loved Prince and enjoyed Shelia E and even Run Dmc but for awhile there (around '86) "rap" and corny hip hop got out of control. Cheesy films like "Breakin' 2 Electric Boogalo" and other abominations were hits with teens. People complain about music sucking these days and romanticize the 80s. They forget about FatBoys, Tina Marie, Tiffany, Debbie Gibson and the hundreds of other lame trends and music that was produced during that era

  • I love Sheila! She is easily one of the most talented artists, ever! She was a one woman band! Moreover, I loved her style and fashion! 80's need to make a comeback...lol

  • It's funny that Rihanna and Keri Hilson's hairstyles are so popular now, considering the fact that many women from the 80s and 90s (Sheila E., Whitney Houston and Toni Braxton) were rocking the same cute, short cuts back then. Well, I guess I shouldn't be surprised since gauchos (however short-lived), skinny jeans, and leggings made a huge return.

  • @theyearofgreatness the new stars of today feel that they are inventive but hey are not. not one of them have been original...if ppl do a little research they will see this.and give credit where credit is due...

  • @mjj69able Yeah I totally agree. There were these idiots saying that Janet Jackson ripped off Beyonce's "Single Ladies" because Janet did her "Make Me" video in black in white. WTF!! Me and these other people went off. It's ridiculous that a lot of people don't realize that this has ALL been done before. Take Lady Gaga for instance. As much as I like her, she's really not original, but people think she is. They're always saying, such and such copied Lady Gaga. This kind of stuff kills me. lol

  • old skool is da best. prince really brought in great talented artist. this movie is good too.

  • great video please check out krushd co uk and comment please add krushdno1 to your you tube

  • hi great video please check out new kids pop band krushd.co.uk and add and comment to you tube thanks krushdno1

  • The first time machine made, I'm first in line to go back to the 80's! Who's with me?

  • 80s rocked...

  • im soo glad i didnt had a jery curl mullet back then!!!!!

  • Grande Prince, ayuda a su percusionista en su carrera de solista,le hace el tema,y mas encima le hace los coros y spporte,un mousntro

  • Music these days cannot be compared to that made in the 80's or earlier! Things have changed considerably and not for the best in this field. The Minneapolis scene, moulded around Prince was one of the best of that period! Sheila E.......Quality!

  • Feeling very nostalgic today & what better than Shelia E.?

  • i wwas BORN 1985 AND SHIT NOT EVEN TIME CANT ERASE THIS MUSIC I AM INOT METLA GOTHROCK NEW WAVE BUT MY CHILHOOD MUSIC IS PRINCE SHEILA E MJ Mainly Prince i always took myself back TO THE 80S MUSIC NOW SUCKS A CRACKHEAD

  • This the joint!

  • I was only a year old when this came out. Wow the 80's fashion was intense.

  • DAYAAAAAMMM...man I had a mad crush on Sheila E. !!!! And holy shyt does this bring back memories.

  • damn she look good!

  • I remember this song ,It was playing at the skating ring when I was getting beat senseless for a quarter . Ahhhhh...... memories .

  • @mwillblade ....yeah, because you were saying "ring" instead of "rink!" LOL..... ;)

  • @Tre404 Everyone down here says ring ,we are so retarded !

  • a great time to have grown up to this kind of music!!! the new music has nothing on the old school, but i am happy for today's artists and their successes.

  • does anyone have the full verison of the music video not the movie?

  • @baby4blue I don't believe there was a music video of this song, except for what you are watching. The original was from the movie...bit and pieces. I believe she only had a music video for The Glamourous Life and Sister Fate during this time in the early 80's and in the early 90's she had a couple more music videos.

  • @jaime5429 ....mid 80s... this was 1985. "Glamourous Life" was late `84...

  • ARTIST TODAY .TAKE HEED

  • i love juanito e. and sister sillY e.

  • i feel sorry for young people today. they don't have near what we had in terms or art, music, or ... well.. taste. i mean listen to this music .. this kind of music.. real music... just doesn't exist. to hell with lady gaga... viva the 80s!!!!

  • I just love the 80's yall should watch my vid tribute tomorrow

  • i was concived in the late 1980's so i missed out on such wonderful music

  • @cookieshopgirl ... you surely did, girl... but it's SO damn cool that you realise it! That makes you "one of us," for real! :-) You feel it.... so we feel you.

  • I'm a proud 80's baby!

  • Get it Sheila!!!!!

  • Love this video! & movie!

  • Loved her hair!!

  • I saw this movie when I was in Airborne school at Ft. Benning GA

  • sheila e is gettin it @0:06!!! she was sooo fuckin sexy!!!!!

  • Sheila E, Cat Glover, Prince, Wendy and Lisa -- Luv 'em all!

  • Loads of little touches make this song/video great. Who's playin' that FUNKY saxamaphone?

  • Prince played most of the instruments on this song.

  • @g4u5i6t7g8u9y0 the actual saxophonist for this song was Mr. Madhouse himself Mr. Eric Leeds. Woooo and im only 14. ya boy is a beast on REAL MUSIC. forget todays suckish music. BRING THIS BACK!!!!!!!

  • @HypeRhymz suffering suckatash

  • I am a white hard core biker, but hell ya I'd bang her!!!!

  • Acttually, strawcream, I don't think Vanity, nee Denise Matthews ,sings anymore. She's mainly just an evangelist. Sheila recorded a definite Christian song called, 'Glorious train.' God bless!

  • I'm pretty comfortable in my sexuality, but I think I would suck a fart out of her butt if she asked me to.

  • Have you heard her lately she has teamed up with Candy Dufler She is still awesome and a Hottie!

  • God bless, sister Sheila. Singin' just for Jesus now!

  • @DaveWollenberg I thought that was Vanity singing for Jesus now..

  • she's soo fly... made me want to play drums

  • this brings back so many good memories :)

  • This is a great song.

  • Damn right, just plain classic.

  • i have to say sheila E. was a very hot good looking girl back then

  • @hotboydragon90 still is

  • @rubian153 true that true that

  • i have a great sheila e dvd for sale. it includes videos, interviews and tv performances 90 minutes long. message me for details : )

  • she look bad foxyy

  • Sheila E is vesatile in music. She played many instruments

She is the only woman in history that can play a multitude of instruments while singing and dancing simultaneously. This woman ROCKS! Tue performer! Big fan!

  • i'm so glad i was a teen in the 80s... great music..... we were lucky....

  • @donnah781 Yes we were. You gotta feel a bit sorry for the new generation. They missed out.

  • @donnah781

me too! ita! we grew up the THE best music.

  • @donnah781 i love the 70's 80's and 90's and i was born in 87'

  • @donnah781 Donnah i'm so with you on that , now i'm thirty-eight soon to , be thirty-nine that came out when i was in my last year of junior high , they'll never make music like that again , Cheer's to 80s music and artistry !

  • @donnah781 - You are so right about that. The 80's truly rocked. What a magical time. Most music today is disconnected and pathetic. Not all, but certainly a lot of it.......

Sheila E. was one of my first "crushes" as a teen. Almost scary that in my 40's the nostalgia kicked in and I feel that same "groove" today.......

  • @donnah781 and we still are .. bcos alot of the bands are back... and touring...80s had the best music ever

  • @donnah781 you are SO right !!!! Class of 1985!!!!

  • @donnah781

Me too! There will never be another era like the 80s!

  • @donnah781 Yes! Thank God for You-Tube to look back and listen to what REAL music was like.

The Young Generation now has no "real ear", for music or talent. Just anger, screaming, hate & pain--A sign of our society.

  • you can clearly hear prince´s voice but you don´t see him

great song! ..and what a babe..

  • Prince wrote a lot of her songs.

  • I MEAN THIS WITH RESPECT BUT PRINCE

Paved the WAY FOR SHEILA E this song rocks THEY MOVE just like THE REVOLUTION

  • @may301985 May did Prince allow her to do , this movie project Krush Groove , and does Prince own the right's to Sheila E's The Glamerious Life . Just wondering

  • @HappyNubian Prince doesnt own rights Sheila does but prince did help on it u can hear his voice in the song

  • @may301985 Thank you May for your reply , Have a wonderful evening !

  • Roxette kept wearing this same fashion statement through the 90's. Sheila E. is cutting a country record, now, maintaining her distinctive style across another avenue. But I think she should cut her hair short, and highlight it and get the spike back up, and go back to the Spanish jacket and most of these other fashion elements from the 80's. It would start a new trend in the Country scene.

  • @gabrielapetrie YEs I was that episode on the country

  • i have a great Sheila E dvd. it includes, videos, tv performances and interviews from 1984-1993. message me if interested.

  • hey i can see rihanna rocking a hairstyle like this

  • Rhianna is doing her best to clone Sheila's look...Rhianna's pretty, but not as pretty as Sheila was.

  • Rhianna is not doing Sheila E! She is the new Pat Benatar or Tina Turner.

  • @FjordFairlane FUCK RHIANNA

  • @FjordFairlane Maybe so, but that hair isn't really doing it for me. Give her a modern hair style and she's be hot. In the 80s, male and female entertainers wore almost the same outfits and hair. Yikes.

  • sexy song indeed, i use to sing this in my bedroom mirror acting all slutty an sexy

  • Its very nice music!!

  • the hairstyl ... the motions - the kind of singing - the music- the clothes- it aLL Prince....

  • l.o.v.e:)

  • Sheila E. will always be my homegirl! She was so dope back in the days!!!

  • @MGTMuhammad All the artist from this have done well. Run DMC have continued to do well. Sheila E is being inducted into the West Coast Hall of Fame and received an honoray doctorate in music, The Fat Boys only one left alive is producting and dated Halle Berry, all have done well.
