  • Love this bun! I wish I could get my lionhead to sleep in my chest, but he was a rescue and his previous owners kept him in a glass aquarium and never cuddled.

  • @EllieFerris Well, you can help him learn to cuddle by being patient and understanding. Try lying down on the floor with him out of his hutch and letting him come to you. Talk quietly and sweetly to him and leave your arm and hand out where he can sniff it. Move slowly and quietly around him. Don't try to force him to do anything. Let him decide what to do and when. In time, he'll come lie or sit by you. This may take many tries and several weeks or months, but be patient.

  • that bunny is soooo cute im getting a baby rabbit tomorrow i cant wait :D

  • I want to kiss that bunny!!!!

  • Omg tht is soooooooooo cute i reli want a rabbit and my parents r thnkn bout it but omg i luv ur vids :)

  • NECK FAT !! LOL!! :3))

  • jennbadger Thanks for your informative comments. I'm considering getting a rabbit. Not sure about the breed yet. Was looking into Flemish Giants, but their life-span is so short, plus they are BIG rabbits, I want to think this through carefully and not be impuslive. I do want something that is not minute in size, plus will live more than 5-6 years. Something the size of a cat or alittle bigger. MUST have a gentle, affectionate, loving personality that likes being handled with love.

  • @ramjetrabbit I commend you on taking your time and doing some research before getting a bunny. Most English Lops are very big, too. Flemish Giants, French Lops, and English Lops are the "giant" breeds. All rabbits' lifespans depend greatly on many factors.. breed, genetics, living situation, and knowledge of their owner regarding care. I hear Himilayans are super sweet.. They are fairly small.

  • @ramjetrabbit I have a French lop and she is really gentle, bu on the hefty side (she weighs 10 pounds!). None the less, she loves to run around and is always happy to see me. If she is in her cage and I pass by she'll come up to the bars and ask me to stroke her for a bit. I personally would recommend either a French lop or adopt a shelter rabbit.

  • @ramjetrabbit I saw your comments about getting a rabbit, I have had 4 rabbits- greatest pets ever. I had a beautiful english spot named Bucky who we were blessed with for almost 10 years. We called him the little prince because of his regal posture (very long back arch) We found him to be, and have since read that the breed is very friendly, laid back and docile. He used to lay on our chests and lick our hands, toes and faces! We loved and miss him so, so much! Rabbits Rule!!

  • @ramjetrabbit No one can gaurantee what a rabbit's personality will be like. Chances are if you treat them well, they will be gentle. However, rabbits can also be aloof and often like to determine WHEN and HOW they will show affection to you. If you are looking for a pet that likes to be "handled" then you might wantt to reconsider a rabbit. I had one for seven years and she was an amazing pet, however she HATED being picked up and wasn't always in the mood to cuddle- she preferred exploring!

  • @ramjetrabbit Try getting a harlequin rabbit, their coloring is amazing and they are fairly large, live 8-10 years, and are extremely loving :) I just got one named Doc, he's super sweet!

  • @ramjetrabbi .I could write here all day and not be able to tell you what you need to know before adopting a rabbit, so instead I will steer you towards a Website that will tell you all you need to know: co-hrs.org. That is the site for my local House Rabbit Society. There you will find an abundance of info. to guide you towards an intelligent decision. Not just what to look for in a rabbit, but more importantly, whether you should even get one.

  • @Baldaad1 There's a lot to know about rabbits and finding a vet that doesn't just "work on" rabbits is challenging, but they are definitely worth it. National House Rabbit Society's site is rabbit.org

  • This is a BEAUTIFUL rabbit!!! I inherited one years ago from a friend who bought it on a whim. This is the size rabbit I would get, if I were going to buy a rabbit. What is the breed here, and how long do they live? I learned so much about them when I inherited one. They make fine pets. Very affectionate and gentle, if treated right. What is the breed, and how big do they get? Thanks!

  • @ramjetrabbit Thank you so much! Lexi is an English Lop. You can't see her ears in this video, but in my other vids you can see how long they get. They have the sweetest and most social personalities of all the breeds. Their lifespan is 5-8 years per ARBA. My oldest is 3, so we will see how they do. If properly cared for I think 8-9 years is prob tops for this breed. The larger breeds don't live as long as the smaller ones, kinda like dogs.

  • Fat+Bunny=Food XD Joking joking.... I'm a vegeterian :D

  • Cute rabbit! my rabbit only 5 months and her birthday is on my birthday! and when she tired, to make her go to sleep I just rub her stomach and she falls asleep :)

  • CHUBBY :D :D :D CHUBBY LITTIL BUNNY

  • That is so cute !! :) I love bunnies I have a dutch and a mini lop

  • Im only 11 so have you got any really importent info i need to know?

  • @nickynoodles12345 Yes... go to school, get good grades, listen to your parents (they are smarter than you think), and always look for the good in every situation :)

  • @jennbadger i think the kid wanted info on rabbits not life lol

  • do people have a problem with fat rabbits? its not the bunny's fault. its's all about the rabbit breed. my rabbit's body typ is similar to the one in the video and i love my rabbit and she is my chubby bunny so leave chubby bunnies alone -__-

  • how come ur bunny is so nice? she actually likes u petting her, mine just runs away everytime, could it be a personality thing?

  • Honestly... you probably give it too much freedom if he CAN run away from you. Also, when a bunny is still young, you must hold it every day and snuggle with it. Teach the bun to trust you and that your time together is spent snuggling. There are some rabbits and certain breeds that are naturally more difficult. English Lops are known for being exceptionally sweet tempered.. which is why I raise them.

  • Great info. Thank you!

  • So fat , BUT SO FRAEAKIN CUTEE!

  • Cute, but you need to put the bun on a diet!

  • what a cutie i tried it with my rabbit but when i did it it woke up after like 1 minute.but when you stroked it's head you also stroked eyes that's why t was closing its eyes

  • Chubby bunny :3

  • Do not feed them before you get in the car, and also watch what your feeding them, I could be that.

  • Thats one BIG-ASS rabbit...

  • I can pet my bunny like that for hours and she won't go to sleep. She won't close her eyes for even 5 seconds! How do I put her to sleep when she will never lcose her eyes? Please reply! ^.^

  • @AnimalCookies105 Well... I started doing this routine from the time they were babies. I really believe that having the heavy blanket over them is the trick. The buns feel totally secure and they go right to sleep.

  • @jennbadger Well, I bought her when she was around 1 month. She's 6 months now, is it still possible for her to go to sleep like that? Is it because she isn't comfortable around me or something? T.T

  • @AnimalCookies105 Maybe she has ADHD? lol... jk. Some buns are just more hyper than others. English Lops tend to be pretty mellow and cuddly.. it's their nature :)

  • @jennbadger Is a Dwarf Mix mellow and cuddly? I'm not an expert on rabbits so... By the way, one more question. How do I find a vet for my bun? She's sneezing ALOT, and I don't know where to bring her. I'm 9 sooo.....

  • @AnimalCookies105 Dwarfs tend to be high strung and not so cuddly, but they are very cute :) If she is sneezing alot, she needs to see a vet and get on medication. Most vets will see rabbits. You can have your mom look in the phone book, or take your bunny to whomever you take your other animals to.

  • @jennbadger Can I take her to vets at Petco/Petsmart?

  • @AnimalCookies105 there are no vets at the pet store. A vet is a doctor and works at an animal hospital. what does your mom say?

  • @jennbadger Can you give me the way? And how do you take them into the car without them pooping or peeing. My bun poops like every 5 mins...

  • OMG. it's a lop, it's meant to be that size. If you ever find an adult lop that is actually small, Congrats. You should call the "I'm so stupid line"

  • Poor dog looked jealous!

  • So sweet ^_^ The big dewlap looks really cute

  • I got goosebumps...

  • He's so cuuute :)

  • to phat

  • HAHAH OBESE BUNNNEEEHHHHH!!!

  • So cosy !! I meant

  • I Like this bunny alot , it would be like a hot water bottle so cost !!!!

  • Not to be rude when I say this but.....That's a huge ass bunny.

  • FAT BUNNY!!

  • As someone who volunteers at a rabbit rescue in Chicago, I can assure you she is not fat. She is a normal size for an English lop and her dewlap is because she is either still intact or because she was spayed later in life. Either way, a rabbit does not form a dewlap like that from just being overweight.

  • It's a dewlap......it's not fat!!! Depending on when she was spayed and what type of rabbit (california red etc) the bigger the dewlap. My rabbit is not overweight has a big dewlap and weights in at almost 10 pounds

  • @JamesJordanJr Thank you, James! Lexi maxed out her weight at around 12 lbs... Englilsh Lops are a giant breed.

  • love her dewlap :)

  • Big bun!! and I'm very happy to see this was a not a video of a rabbit being "tranced" on it's back. The research indicates this is NOT a good thing for the rabbit, it only appears to be soothing to the uninformed eye.

Best wishes to you and your rabbit

  • You should watch your rabbits diet. It'll live a much longer and healthier life. Rabbits should definitely not be that overweight.

  • @MissRammyster I am so tired of people telling me how fat my bunny is. Lexi is not and was never fat. She has always been hormonal and so she has a large dewlap. Anyone who knows anything substantial about rabbits knows that large dewlaps are common on does in most breeds of rabbits After this video was made, she went on to be a wonderful mother.

  • zzz..... I almost fell asleep watching her fluffy puffy ness -.-'

  • is the dog tiny or the bun really massive?

  • OMG - the bunny is now smiling!

  • Female rabbit + luxurious dewlap = putting on the Ritz. X3

  • Oh look,There's a fox in the background..:)

  • 1:38

Wook at that sweet wittle face! Awwwwww

  • What a beautiful rabbit!

  • Aww chubby bunny goes nighty night (;

  • that is a mellow and relaxed bunny

  • HAHAHAHA so fat and adorable

  • xSAGEowl thats because she's a female. females usually have that :)

  • that's one fat bunny

  • thiis works got my bunny here right now hes dosing off :)

  • omggg a dog back thereee take the rabbit outttt!!!!!

  • That dewlap is like a built-in pillow! That diggy w0of probably wants to use Lexi as a pillow!

    X3

  • a giant fur ball wuaaaaa!!! =)

  • Is that her skin or a shirt?

  • our girl rabbit formed the dewlap when she had her first bunch of babies. We didn't know what it was at first, but we found out after about 30 days later. ^_^

    They were so cute! <:-D

  • Such a beautiful rabbit!

  • b/c of the coloration of your dogs, at first I thought they were foxes in the background O_o;;

  • is that a rex rabbit? i have a rex rabbit. shes so soft-3

  • FATASS lol jk

  • lil lions mane <3

  • WTF!! LOL too fatt xD

  • the bunny kinda looks like a dog

  • DOUBLE CHINNNNNN

  • thats a cute bunny you have :)

  • lol that dog looks hungry

  • Neck fat

  • surley a rabbit shouldn't have that much fat round it's neck ?! :|

  • @xSAGEowl LOL! Indeed, she has a huge dewlap, always has. This video was recorded when Lexi was pretty young and she was not overweight at all. I think she always had strong hormones though... she was meant to be a mama bun. Her babies snuggle under her dewlap :0)

  • @xSAGEowl that's fur..

  • @xSAGEowl Actually for a female to not have such a luxurious dewlap would be a sight of poor health.

  • @xSAGEowl Nope. That's perfectly natural on a female. It's a dewlap but it's different than a dog's dewlap.

  • @xSAGEowl dickhead

  • @xSAGEowl female rabbits have loose skin around their neck like that so they can pull fur from it with their mouth to use for nesting.

  • awnnhhh soooo cute.....

  • I love your bunny it looks like an old fat guy!! In a cute way!

  • i did this to my neth dwarf. all i did was stroke his head. the next day he didn't seem happy

  • @memmytheissa any rabbit can be tranced and lulled to sleep by stroking its head... there is no guarantee that they will wake up on the right side of the bed the next day :0)

  • @memmytheissa i had a Netherlands dwarf, he was my first rabbit and my worst, today i'm getting a long haired cashmere lop! xD

  • wow that is a fat bunny!

  • Doggy?

  • she looks like a tiger ..
