  • Your other tegu looks great by the way.

  • Lol, a good breeder wouldn't have tegus with MBD so it wasn't a good breeder. You got scammed. At leas it's out of its misery.

  • @Shoot89 Im pretty sure Bobby Hill is a good breeder, he was awesome to work with thru the whole thing and made everything right after this little guy died... Dine my baby that replaced this guy is just as sweet and healthy as ever... Im thinking there was something else other than MBD wrong with this guy.

Thank you for the compliment on Shredder(my other tegu). She is amazing, such a big baby and i love her soo much

  • @BogganR14 Bobby Hill is by far one of the best breeders in the world, I have 2 gu's from him and 3 from Johnny LaRocca (know him well). I'm surprised that this came from Bobby, ah well at least it's at rest now you know. You should post some vids of your new gu if you haven't already. And yea, Shredder is one heck of a good looking tegu. My Buzz is 9 years old and knows his name ;)

  • this guy died a couple days later :( and I am actually not a starter, i have one full grown tegu 4 ball pythons, a black throat monitor and a mangrove monitor.. I had just purchased this little guy from a good breeder and wasnt sure if i was seeing things.. thank you for your concern tho.

  • looks like m.b.d metobolic bone disease tegus suffer from it if not kept under the right conditions witch means lack of uva or uvb light also lack of vitamin d3 witch uva lights provide also what the sun provides there are also vitamin d3 dust that you put over there food i own a columbian tegu who had mbd but with a few adjustments it went away. also tegus aint a starter reptile i own a ball python and a corn snake tegus need alot of time and care

  • Thank you... He was an Extreme Giant Black and White Tegu.. Unfortunatly he passed away about a week after this was taken :( Im still not sure what the problem was.

  • @BogganR14 I'm sure you already heard this, but it's as much for the viewers as anything. Joint and bone problems in tegus, along with twitching are signs of metabolic bone disease. It's the number one killer of pet lizards, taking half of all hatchlings that are sold. It's caused by 1) a lack of ultraviolet light. you can fix this with a solarglo bulb from zoomed. and 2) improper calcium to phosporus ratio in their diet. Feed them whole, pre killed animals or use a calcium supplement WITHOUT D3

  • btw he or she looks freakin awsome, kool dragon, is he or she a arginteen blak an white, or wat kind is it

  • idk i think its fine, actuelly i bet that tegu is perfectly fine rite now, cuz mine starting doing that same thing outta nowere but even worse, like his back was broken, i was almost ready to cry... but i jus kinda felt his legs an tail body an he was fine he would force his way out of my hand jus like he always would, before i new it like 3 weeks or less he was perfectly normal

  • Hey. I have a tegu aswell as many other reptiles. In my opinion It lookS like an Earl sign of MBD in the front right leg. Get it checked out asap and it might be able to get treated. Keep me posted !

  • Did you ever bring your Tegu to the vet to see what is wrong with him/her ? How are things going with your Tegu now ? Good luck with everything ;) .

  • go to thetegu.com man alots good ppl that will know there gl with ur baby tegu

  • I can kinda see a gant, but I couldn't make out the issue,it looks strange yes. If checking for something broken I would take a hands on approach and isolate the limp touching it seeing if there is a reaction to pain and compairing the 2 lower limbs.
