This is one of the finest modern musical film soundtracks ever! Bjork ought to do another movie soundtrack even if she does not want to act. And give it up for Lars von Trier, who is undeniably one of the most avant-garde film writer/directors of our time!
"I had a simple philosophy: Fill what's empty. Empty what's full. Scratch where it itches."--Alice Roosevelt Longworth
A simple turned to hard philosophy. Now wherever I go , I am meeting my story. Some things are hard to swallow, but I have to do it. All the time I wanted to proof that we have more common things that differences.
My high school marching season just came to a close last month. We played this song for our Ballad piece. Performing this in the Dome was definitely one of the best experiences of my life. The echo from the releases were so beautiful--undoubtedly, it was this piece that pushed us to make Finals at State for the first time in our band's history. Whenever I hear this song, from now until the day I die, the memory of this past season will come right back up through to choke me with nostalgia.
cuando termina Dancer in the dark realmente comienzo un nuevo mundo. Uno no es el mismo después de haber visto esto. El final es uno de los mejores y mas shockeantes que he visto
The first Bjork song you can actually sing to since "It's Oh So Quiet". Great performance from Bjork...unforgettable film...absolutely beautifully shot and made. Lars Von Trier is a genius!!!!!
Bjork should have won an oscar for this role. Truth is, as much as I was riveted by her performance, I can never watch this movie again. It was just to painful at the end with Bjork's screams. I cried too hard. Can't endure that again, lol.
This movie was complete heart break... she was perfect actress for this...even before she get hang... I cry so hard... and when she get hang I cry so more... and this song make me cry too... this movie was so beautiful... she could have live... but she sacrifice for her son operation... the love of a mother is so powerful... nothing can stop it...
...wait... Whoa whoa, you misunderstood me. The whole video is at a higher key than the original. I'm not talking about Bjork. I thought it was obvious.
I talk in some broken English and then get top comment for me?

The version at the Credits is a different recording to the one on the album. Its a semitone higher.

How is she off key?! Just cus she has a strange voice?! She rarely hits a wrong note man!! She has more vocal control than most singers!
Dude...she is not off key!
