Many of which are underrated because most the music is too complicated for many people to relate to. Cake is another band that falls in that category I think.

Hay una gran pero GRAN diferencia entre Mars Volta e Incubus. No cabe la comparacion entre estas dos bandas. M.V. es una muy buena banda pero Incubus ya es legendaria, es una influencia importante para muchas bandas y favorita de muchos. No hagan comparaciones q no van al caso
netpeasant, listen to tetragammaton by mars volta, then I think you'll understand. The opening riff to this song and the chorus (or as close as mars volta gets to chorus') are pretty similar. Also the the drummers frantic snare hits during that riff is pretty characteristic of mars volta drumming patterns
i definitely feel you there. the erratic drum parts are somewhat similar, but to say that they're influenced by mars volta is not justified simply from one song/one drum riff. Even though i love incubus more than any other and mars volta is cool, neither are producing the unique/creative/progressive quality of music that they once were. not sure how that last part is relevant, but just throwing it out there
Wow.This is the definition of perfection. They were all spot on. Brandon's vocals were even better then normal if that's possible. Not to mention he looks drop dead sexy.
I hear no mars volta in this song at all. Mars volta is all about over-texturing their songs with 3 or 4 guitar parts and having a lot of ambient/experimental noise. This is quintessential post morning view incubus and nothing more
