agreed. this song isn't about complex drum beats and people jamming in a car. it's about calm walks on the beach at 7:00 pm, waking up to the sunrise at the end of a long car ride, and floating through outer space endlessly knowing eveything is great with the world.

That's what this song is about.

I see what you mean, it is certainly a soothing song. But this is just a re-make, a remix doesn't really have to connect with the same character of the original. The complex drum beats are another cool experiment, since the time signature is a bizarre 9/4, the car jam actually happened listening to a Belge Ska band, so the sync was another nice feature to experiment with. It's ok to like more the original, I personally love both.

OMG THIS IS AMAZING

-im a huge fan of the "The Escapist" and now this song got 1000X better, i love the beat remixs the coldplay version is more mellow but this beat makes you bop your head with you not even knowing your doing this. PERFECT VID TO GO TO THIS VERSION who ever edited the vid did a good job too
