halo wars is not 100% based on canon for example the flood was in the game the flood was not found bye the humans intill halo:combat evolved and if it was found here they would have aleast made a report about it.
@TheDrypan The flood in Combat evolved was released at the ring, but the planet they arrived at was flood controlled, and just so happens to be a shield world. The only UNSC forces that encountered the flood before the first halo event was the men from the Spirit of Fire. It was never reported though because the Spirit of Fire sacrifised its Shaw Fujikawa engine which meant they where stuck there.. anyway the Spirit of Fire got lost and was never heard from again. It wasnt destroyed though

You know what would be an awsome halo game. Is where for you serve as a Marine. And you get to fight in the large scale battles that you always hear of , but never see. For example in Every Halo game you are either a Spartan, who fights usually alone or with a squad of several marines or odst. In Halo ODST, even then you only fought battles with like 20 enemies and 3 allies at a time. But they need to make a game with you fighting along side 50 allies, while battling 200 enemies at a time.

Halo Wars is a shitty ass RTS, the only way it sold was that it had "Halo" in the title.
Anyone who has played a real RTS will realise that Halo Wars is a rancid bucket of pig shit.
A real RTS such as Warcraft 3 or DoW2 is what non-retarded people play, then again if Halo Wars is your first RTS, then it's a lot less overwhelming than a good RTS, just realise that Halo Wars is dwarfed by games that actually are "RTS"

for the record, Warcraft 3 is played more and sold more then Halo War. It is still played today by millions and it is already 5 years old. So get your facts right. Halo War, as a good idea, but they could have made it a-LOT more better.

@sirsexyalot. i think ur missing the point. halo wars is a shitty RTS its simple RTS but with alot more depth then people such as yourself care to look into. for example the incredibly small unit limit means that u need to pay extremely close attention to ur enamies and make sure ur building the best counter for his army while still maintaining a good defence. unlike games like supreme commander (my fav ever) where u just build a shitload of everything and bombard the shit through em'
