  • I bought the DVD´s of Lord of the Dance and Feet of Flames... Turned out to be the same shows!

  • @pumba16121983 That's because Feet of Flames is kind of an extension of Lord of the Dance: FoF incorporated more dancers than a single Lord of the Dance show. Some musical pieces got a different name though.

  • think my old irish dancing teacher would kill herself if she saw this...dont see the point of the striptease personally

  • @FrankioloDiddlyDee Please don't forget that many dances (and music) in a Riverdance or equivalent show is modern Irish dance, in no way comparable to traditional Irish dance. Personally I do see the point of the striptease: it really adds to the story they are trying to tell through the dance.

  • am i the only one that gets annoyed that the sound is off in the feet of flames video...

  • one of the people in there i think is my danc teacher aoibhean o'brien she is amazing! =)

  • @LordoftheFeis2468 i shes a great girl to be sure i member her well back in the day, coming over the hill wind in her hair and dat sparkle in her eyes, a lovely lass to be sure, all the fellas wanted to dance with her that night but it was me that was the lucky one

  • They are amazing.

  • they are good, but if i danced for them i would want a solo lol

  • @AbiT50 me too, but I actually think it's just the fact that her shoes are SO broken in! But it's cool how she does rocks and lands on toe.

  • @michaelafromBOSSTOWN I don't really know anything about it, but those look like they cannot possibly be good for you.

  • she's like a ragdoll almost, she's amazing, and quite beautiful :)

  • fancy toe standing enchantresses

  • the lead girls sounds were perfect. i died. <3

  • Perfetto!!!Восхитительно!

  • Всех!

  • я их хочу!

  • i love michael flatley but this video is real poor quality

  • loooooove the red dress!

  • In this I believe that Morrigahn or the Temptress wants to be the best and will do anything to get it all. But I think she is one of those girls who on the inside isn't what everyone makes of her. You migh tthink she is evil and selfish but I think people take her differently and not in the way she is. Of course you'll have to watch Fiery Nights, and in that you'll see that she is an easy target. When then DArk Lord comes up to her, she kind of gives him a "I dont care." hair flip!

  • @PerfectMusicNotes99 I think both Bernadette and Jillian are great dancers. Each one of them have their charm.Bernadette if I can express myself like this is warm and nice like the sun while Jillian is passionate and wild like a fire. Its just my vision.Maybe someone has another opinion. But its hard to say you like Jillian more than Bernadette or the opposite.

  • @Aslara I like them noth for different reasons and you are right, now that I think of it. Bernadette Flynn is like seriously a dancing swan I guesss and then Jillian is like a wild fire but on a video I watched Jilian is actually shy in real life. when I heard that I think I laughed. she seems so confident and that out going and first to do anything type of girl. but you are right. its hard to say who you love more because they are both such amazing women!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • omg I miss Irish dancing so much. I grew up with Feet of Flames.

  • 28 people doesn't have a hart or soule!

  • What a total travesty! This is not traditional Irish dancing - not by a long shot. They have desecrated the beautiful old traditions of modesty! Totally disgusting and nothing to do with being irish.

  • @Liffster It's supposed to be a battle. If you were battling the temptress, what would you do? You'd prove that she wasn't the only one who could be sexy! Thats all they're doing and I think you're just overeacting, because it's not that bad.

  • @xxxmrstaylorlautnerx If I were battling the temptress (which could never happen in traditional Catholic Ireland's authentic dances), my weapon would be my virtue not my sexier-than-thou strip show.

  • @Liffster right u be harlots every one of them dirty dirty hussies

  • @Liffster good on flatley he took irish dancing out of the seedy world of the church feis and shone the burning light of truth

  • what, are u evangelic ?

  • @tomaspepino Nope, just a traditional Irish Catholic.

  • catholic opus dei i see, sex is bad, sex is devil, okey .... sexy women are evil.... typical opus dei.

  • @Blahblahireland There are some of the same dances because LOTD is a story in itself and it was incorporated into feet of flames, which was meant as an expanded showcase of step dancing

  • @cbshippergirl Alright, thanks :)

  • I don't mean to sound dumb or anything but why does feet of flames and LOTD have the same dances?

  • @Blahblahireland umm I think well of course they are by the same person but I think they are kind of the same with just some differences. im not entirely sure but I have seen that question alot. i haven't seen Feet of Flames or anything other than LOTD! hahah

  • They are including ballet moves into their routine which makes this not a true Irish step.

  • @anthropologyize no but I think it adds beauty. Have you watched Celtic Dream? If you have then you will notice most of that is sort of ballet and that makes it a little more feminine and beautiful. Honeslty my defination of Irish dancing is Ballet and TAp-dancing mixed togethor to get a strong vibe and a unique style. Of course that is my opinon.

  • how seducing

  • god bless you ms bernadette flynn and your awesomness <3

  • this is not irish danceing anymore. they have taken riverdance and turned it into something stupid. look at the 1994 riverdance videos and you will see what proper irish dancing is. they got shows sold out wearing clothes

  • We do this for our end of the year performance and it sounds exactly the same as this!

  • its amazing how easy they make dancing like this look!!! ...

  • hìhí_ÄÑY_gûYs_waNt_tó_chãt_with_mè

  • Lord of the Dance was WAY better than Feet of Flames.

  • @simality Except that Lord of the Dance did not have Monks or Diare Nolan. So no, Lord of the Dance was NOT better than Feet of Flames.

  • @Halandra Except that Daire Nolan WAS in Lord of the Dance...

  • My favs are Breakout and Cry of the celts :) <333

  • the girl in the lord of the 2010 (good girl) she is my part time dance teacher

  • LOTD version was better. LOTD to me was perfect. Perfect dancing, outfit, acting, lighting.... from then on it got too... Las Vegas like.

  • We are dancing this too! Its looks soo easy, but it is so difficult!

  • Is this an Irish folk dance?

  • @cloudzsurfer

It's a performance style of Irish Step Dancing. There's a traditional form that you'd see at a feis and at competitions.

  • This is my favourite dance =) reminds me of Alice In Wonderland for some reason...

  • Does anyone know what kind of dance they're doing after the slow treble jig? Or is the whole thing a slow treble jig?

  • @IrishDancerfly it's a treble reel

  • This tune is divine =3

  • wow i can't wait to be this good MIchael Flately is my hero he was like 11 or 12 when he wanted to start and the dance teacher turned him down saying he was too old to start dancing and now look at him i have now been irish dancing for 9 years and i love it

  • Wow ppl This is not Feet of Flames Breakout is not in Feet of Flames or the same music ive seen LOTD live and i own both cds for Feet of Flames and LOTD i also own both movies this is NOT Feet of Flames!!

  • now im thinking of going to Ireland 8D

  • I feel that in this version they made the show more about the flashy costumes, hair exstentions, cat suits, and the stage than the actual dancing. And completely destroying Gillian Norris's original dance.

  • @xxxTayaRoisxxx I dont aggree with that. Even if theyre wearing all these nice things, the people came there to see the dance for this part wasnt the only thing in th show.

  • Nejlepší z nejlepších.

  • music is not even with dancers...

  • I Love it. I Love it. I love it.

  • Супер!!!!!фантастика!!!!!!

  • <3 it! Just for curiousity, I've noticed dancers on the TOP of the stage at the beginning, and several times after this (which was cool!). Did anyone else notice this in the song?

  • @RuthThreeEleven I think there are more people that have noticed it. I did notice it too. :P. love all the shows <3

  • @RuthThreeEleven Uhm, yes... how could you miss out on those? ;)

I still can't think of the fact how hard it is to dance on the hydraulic platforms: I think Flatley really pushed the limits of the platforms and the dancers...

  • szuper

  • i've been irish step dacing for about 4 years now and love did really like doing comps but did love preforming and alot of the songs we did were either from riverdance or lord of the dance but the marjaroty was from lord of the dance and this was one of them. the break out i love it :)

  • @LADYGAGROCKIFI.....REALLY? wow, i've been wearing fake tan for the past 5 World Championships and all the other majors.sooo yea...it is common knowledge to me, as I just medaled at the Glasgow worlds in april 2010. however, I don't know a single COMPETITOR that wears hair extentions...it's either a wig or their own hair..check your facts. Perhaps PERFORMERS wear the hair extensions..either way..it's a ridiculous topic to keep talking about. it's obvious in this it is not their hair!

  • I think what I enjoy most is the complete unison and choreography

Along with Celtic music what could sound or be more beautiful

  • OMG! I do an irish dance to this!!! these dancers are so talented and amazing i could watch them all night!!! :P <3

  • Thank you ladies one and all. Your talent is only surpassed by your beauty. Thanks for posting this great vid.

  • just simply breath-taking !

  • Seems to me training for this kind of dancing would be pretty tough

  • these girls are most definitely wearing wigs....it's common knowledge that all irish dancers wear wigs!!

  • @oxLiveLoveLaughox even though i agree with you about this show, as for one who have been in most if not all the top of the Irish performances in Ireland and in the world.. i would say you are wrong.

in most of the shows they didn't.

yet in some of the large shows, mainly LOTD they indeed wear wigs.

a petty.. maybe that's one reason why i liked Riverdane better.

  • @oxLiveLoveLaughox

I was strictly talking about "the girls in this video" and as an Irish dancer for the past 12 years, I've never been on stage without a wig. However, I know that the girls in Riverdance did not wear wigs...one reason why I loved the show so much, besides the excellent dancing. I spent a week training with Jean Butler...one of the most exciting weeks of my irish dancing career. thanks for the reply and good luck with your shows!

  • @oxLiveLoveLaughox well it obviously isn't common knowledge to you, it is common knowledge that irish dancers are now getting to the style where they have to wear fake tan in competitions and quite often wear hair extentions

  • @oxLiveLoveLaughox

Any idea WHY they wear those gawd-awful wigs? They look like those 4 year old beauty pageant contestants.

  • hey,try dance in wig. i have wig and extensions-no dance, its too hot on your head

  • I'm an irish dancer and for performances we do in fact wear wigs and its kind of hard to tell in this video whether or not they are but irish dancers dont wear hair extensions

  • @IrishDanceforLife91 Hey, are you on IDM? Your name seems familiar ... I'm on there as Delorfinde?

  • HEY i SAW THE BOYS COMING OUT, WHERE IS THE SECOND PART???

  • i love irish dancing! i started when i was 8 and never regretted it. but sadly its not @ my dance studio anymore! :( i miss it! <3 its fun and amazing experience. i would advice many to try it!!! the shoes r a little tight but WHAT EVER! its worth it!!

    AMEN!

  • Is it possible to fall in love with an entire dance crew? Yup!

  • @druidae1492 it is i think:))))

  • OPIČÁCI...

  • One of my all time favorites. Thanks for posting.

  • What is the move called when they pivot on their feet, please?

  • @WaterpigMaster maybe what your referring to is called drums

  • @WaterpigMaster When they turn in a circle or when they rock from side to side? If the latter, they're called ... uh ... "rocks", understandably enough!

  • What do u need to be to unlike something like this? That's not even idiot...

  • SUPER TARE!

  • vitale

  • has anyone else noticed that the sound of the taps is a little off of their dancing in the feet of flames vid?

  • I know that now it is very common for Irish Dancers to wear custom wigs so they don't have to set their hair...however for this show they did their own hair with rollers. I remember watching the behind the scenes DVD and they all walked around with rollers in their hair before the shows.

  • magnifique....!!!! splendide.....!!!

  • wow eso si es vaile jej XD xuper !!

  • I would kill for bernadettes toe stands

  • the sexiest irish dance girls ever!

  • This is ny favourite tune and dance set ever!

  • what is the song they are tapping to

  • @andrewjasav93 the whole music of the show is composed by ronan hardyman, this is breakout:)

  • very good!!;)

  • stomozan во ты высказался.... но я с тобой согласен ))))))))))))

  • Jaysus whatever about the dancing i'd flake it into all of dem in a blaze of glory

  • Simplemente...genial.

  • Ахуительноооооооооооооооооооооо!!!!!!!!!

  • i love the dresses iin thiis dance! theey are gorgeous!!

  • Thats what I call Irish Dance♥

I love this...The colours are beautiful!

And the foot-work is just perfection :)

  • O.o ... wow !

  • rofl Michael Flatley put the temptress in a cat suit but gave his goddess this hideous dress!!!

  • 0:35 - 0:47 is the prettiest little dance i've ever seen. I absolutely love the way she sounds when she taps

    love gillian too:)

  • Ha, I actually took the time to learn the first two steps :P

It's lots of fun to dance :)

  • The Lead dancer in this segment, is Miss Bernadette Flynn, WHAT A FABULOUS DANCER...

Just watch her speed at the end.... Amazing.....

  • i love this dance and i'm taking lessons fot that from my dance teacher

  • its never too late to learn.. this is an amazing, magical, and fun dance to do. everyone should try it. (:

  • it's probably way too late for me to learn how to do this =/

    damn.

    it's so beautifullllll

  • @galacticstrawberry Let's see, how old are you??

  • late teens. too old.

  • I see you're 16. I started when I was 15, what is for one year now. (I'm 16 too) Even with that I perform with my dance group and it's great! Ok, you won't be dancing in such shows like LOTD, that's really too late, but if you want to do it as your hobby, just do it! :-)

  • @Angieelek

Great words of encouragement Angieelek, but I have to comment on one thing. I've known some people who started in their teens and they went on to be in the big shows. One man in Riverdance started when he was 28! A dear friend in LotD started when she was 17 (she was 24 when she joined the show.) When you set your mind to it, you can do ANYTHING! :)

  • Oh, thanx for info, I didnt know that! That's great! That's why I adore dancing, you can start whenever you want and enjoy it :-)

  • @reelirishboy5 That's fantastic for her! I'm in my late teens, just started dancing three months ago and hearing that she could do something like that gives me the hope that I could actually do something!

  • It´s never too late! We´ve got plenty of time :-) I´m 19, I started taking classes 6 months ago. Not that I´m that good already, but I can do a bit of irish dancing, love it and enjoy it, and that´s what´s going on :-)

  • @galacticstrawberry

No! No, a hundred times no! You can do ANYTHING if you're determined. There are people who start in their late teens who are in the shows years later! And many others choose not to be in the shows but become champions in the competitions. Oireachtas, Nationals, the Worlds, they're all at your fingertips if you put your mind to it. Please don't give up before you've started. We're cheering you on!

  • Well, I'm 21 now. I started taking lessons late September 2009. Now, about 5 months later I can do some stuff at an acceptable speed (I mean for a beginner). If you have a good teacher and some enthusiasm and practice every week, you can be good enough to perform -in a few years. Especially if you are in your teens. It's hard but it is lots of FUN!

  • like xtheshortyx said, its never too late to learn. I started irish a year ago at the age of 17 and i know a few adults that are well over the 20/30 mark that have started irish. As long as your determinned and committed its definately not too late to learn =) ring around a few local schools, see who's doing classes for older beginners =)

  • Some great dancing from some lovely ladies, I just can't get enough of irish Music and Dance

    Thanks for posting

  • so whats the difference between feet of flames and lord of the dance? i've never seen feet of flames, but there doesn't seem to be a huge difference

  • there are a couple of more dance numbers and some more music. fof is bigger with more dancers. but the story is the same.

  • This dance is exactly the same as it is in LOTD with the exception of the dresses!!!

However, in the last years, Feet of Flames has become a completely different show - in my opinion much much better than LOTD as it is faster and and the dances are even more impressive.

  • It is the same dance - almost - as the one in Lord of the Dance, but I think this is the FoF one, because although I haven't seen that, LotD only has one level, and FoF has two.

I saw someone in the Open class at my dancing performing a dance to this music; I think it was the same one. She was really good. ..

  • Ronan Hardiman can hypnotise you

  • ive saw this dance in lord of the dance , its almost the exact same :)

  • Thats because Feet of flames is the same show with a few extra bits in.

  • Wow, awesomeness! It must be challenging for the dancers up on the second level to stay in time with the rest of them. They did a great job though.

  • Goddamed!!!...

    -.-'

This one is NOT from Lord of the dance... (spelling big time fail!)

Its from Feet of Flames... -.-' Doh!

  • lol feet of dance r run by the spouze of the boss of lord of the dance they r both in colabotation then so yeah it is lol

  • This dance is in both Feet Of Flames and i Lord Of The Dance... But they have different clothes on... This one is from Lord of the dance ^^

I love them.. So fucking amazing dancing!!!

    EPIC SHIT!!!

    (sry for spelling fails)

  • this is from lord of the dance

  • It's in both.

  • incompleto.....falla a la mitad

  • umm no... thats what dancers do if they dont wear wigs... so chill

  • whatever!

  • I remember doing a lesser variation of this dance for my Irish dancing group's recital years ago...it was so much fun. I love Irish dance. <3

  • @Bakachi Yeah-this one is a lot of fun! We're doing it (not the exact same version, of course, haha) for a performance this Friday, and during the summer. I think I prefer this choreography over the new choreography.

  • I think this is probably one of the best, if not THE best, numbers in the whole show. And the themes that Hardiman wrote for this number are just awesome.

  • Comment removed

  • In response to Katkaliina94's comment of the dancers wearing wigs - I think you'll find they're hair extensions NOT wigs!

  • @SuperPoobrains i dont know about this particular show and dancers, but it is custom to use wigs in irish dancing

  • @SuperPoobrains these are are young Girls it can be real hair

  • @SuperPoobrains yea, burnadette flynn told us herself.. they do their own hair, no wigs!! lol

  • I love this...but wha'ts up with Gillian's hair?! Sue the person that did her hair, it makes you look really older then in LOTD

  • I saw them live twice,It was fantastic! Both shows were sold out.TY Aeyara for this post.

  • amazing.

  • i agree LOTD is awesome i just wanted to compare LOTD and FOF

    and thanks

  • do they really have wigs?

  • No they don't have wigs, that puffy curly hair is irish hair lol

  • Hah, the thing is though, us Irish women CAN'T dance.

  • Then your not a real irish woman...
