if you look at this ttailer, it has great anti-aliasing, real time reflections and refractions. dense particle effects. doing this on Wii would be extremely difficult, other m was pretty, but it usually only rendered closed rooms. this game has more open areas, it even renders a city outside the dome. other m wasnt quite as good. i agree that it could have been better, but it was a early game after all. maybe Wii u can do this

One of the many things I didn't like about Pokemon Battle Revolution is that, for example, if you hit an Alakazam with Shadow Ball and it ends killing him instantly, he will do his "damaged" animation, and after he finishes, he'll be like "Oh wait, I'm supposed to be dead" and THEN he'll do his "defeated" animation.
Look at how Pikachu kills Wailord with a Thunder and he instantly goes to its Pokeball without doing his "defeated" animation. IT'S ONE OF THE THINGS I WOULD'VE LIKED TO SEE!

As a huge Pokemon fan, they seriously should've kept these elements from the trailer. Also, without having Diamond or Pearl, the game sucks. It would've been so much better if you can rent Pokemon, like they did in Pokemon Stadium.
The reason they changed most of it is because the destructive scenery would have given the game a T rating, and Nintendo wanted it to stay rated E, but even without destructive scenery, the game could have actually been better. $50 is a rip-off for the game we got, but I would gladly pay that money for the game in the trailer!

In this trailer you can see pikachu actually landing the attack on deoxys, a feature removed from the full game because of too much cartoon violence. There's still hope thought, there was a recent leak about a certain PBR 2 that could be in the works.

@Sashamunster Some people had a hissy fit that the games were too violent so the destructable elements in stages were cut out. Also, for some reason - most of the camera pannings were cut out of the final version. I'd rather have the demo then the pathetic uber breeding game we were given to be honest.
Pokemon Battle Revolution was fun, but it could've been a LOT better.

Everything looks fantastic in this game. The camera is a little erratic so it would hurt my eyes after awhile, but if this was the real version, I might've bought it even though lacking things pokemon stadium and pokemon colloseum had.
They needed to keep the camera style and the damage to the terrain while using the move/Pokemon selection menu that they used in the final product. Then the game would have been better. The final product is good though.
Yeah, this definitely looks way more awesome than the finished product. Although some people may disagree with me for the fact that the move selection menu is kind of small, I say that means that we can spend more time looking at the picture. I also like how the menu transitioned in and out, rather than the final version's method of moving straight from one to another.

When they make the next Pokemon Wii game. I have a few upgrades.
1) In battle games to look like this
2) Battle rooms for wifi... like a Legendaries, Normal, Babies
3) In game story mode
4) The 4 in game battle tournament cups(Petit, Pika, Poke, Prime)
5) A LOT more character designs (like Maplestory etc.)
6) Being able to choose different pokemon when rematching
7) Not explaining everything... just doing like Life Orb damage

The reason they changed most of it is because the destructive scenery would have given the game a T rating, and Nintendo wanted it to stay rated E, but even without destructive scenery, the game could have actually been better. $50 is a rip-off for the game we got, but I would gladly pay that money for the game in the trailer!

@YoshiSugaRush They also made the animation blockier and removed pokemon contacts. In this trailer you can see pikachu actually landing the attack on deoxys, a feature removed from the full game because of too much cartoon violence. There's still hope thought, there was a recent leak about a certain PBR 2 that could be in the works.

@darkdude1900 There is already some online games, fx Pokemon World online, but it sucks alot (Limited players on one server, etc) but overall, it would be really cool.
But yes. Still. This PBR game for Wii, still kickass. I already have a few pokemon too use in a Wi-Fi battle, but the best are still too come. The only best I have is Magmortar -_-'... + Togekiss, but everyone else got the wrong nature.

@Sashamunster Some people had a hissy fit that the games were too violent so the destructable elements in stages were cut out. Also, for some reason - most of the camera pannings were cut out of the final version. I'd rather have the demo then the pathetic uber breeding game we were given to be honest.

Pokemon Battle Revolution was fun, but it could've been a LOT better.
Instead of copying DS Pokemon, why can't they be rentals like back from the orginal stadium games? And the elements from the trailer shouldn't have been removed. Just my opinion.

Wow the effects are so much better, like the hyperbeam leaving a wake of destruction, and how the camera shifts when selecting chars. Also how pokemon make direct contact during attacks. The reason they changed it was the wii pointer? come on i prefer wiimote on its side for a game like this.

Everything looks fantastic in this game. The camera is a little erratic so it would hurt my eyes after awhile, but if this was the real version, I might've bought it even though lacking things pokemon stadium and pokemon colloseum had.

I saw Hyper Beam on one PBR video and I remembered this trailer and watched it. This looks so much better than the actual game.
Camera moves like a dream and moves look more awesome. Blizzard looks really cool and Hyper Beam destructing terrain is just too cool. O__O

They needed to keep the camera style and the damage to the terrain while using the move/Pokemon selection menu that they used in the final product. Then the game would have been better. The final product is good though.

Yeah, this definitely looks way more awesome than the finished product. Although some people may disagree with me for the fact that the move selection menu is kind of small, I say that means that we can spend more time looking at the picture. I also like how the menu transitioned in and out, rather than the final version's method of moving straight from one to another.
