  • Much of Bultmann's classical form criticism has been strongly challenged by the latest research on oral and eyewitness tradition, rendering it mostly obsolete. James Dunn and Richard Bauckham have largely laid waste to much of Bultmann's premises.

  • I am not interested in Theological Semantics and I doubt there are to many people qualified to properly critique Bultmann (includes me). I will say his scholarship is extraordinary.

I highly recommend his commentaries for students of the New Testament.

I am presently rereading his Masterpiece: " The Second Letter to the Corinthians" modicum of Greek is recommended to more fully benefit. It's a gem if you can find it...his other commentaries are still readily available.

    Just learn from him.

  • good video...see my video on bultman as well...thank you

  • Bultmann was a GENIUS who wasn't trying to throw out the baby with the bathwater, he was trying to save the baby from drowning in it. I have come back to believing in Jesus as a historical man now due to him and the many theological students he influenced. The man Jesus is far more remarkable and inspiring than the Christ myth.

  • Excellent video!! Bultmann was one of the greatest!!
