When we were in Ireland I went to the town where the film was shot. I went to the pub, Mary Kate's Cottage and the old cross in the middle of town. It was magical. I also visited the castle where the outside scenes were made. It was green and lovely and very romantic. There is a store that has the original harness and whip from the trap used in the movie. Ireland is the most wonderful of places.
To anyone who has'nt seen this movie, please make sure you do. It's fantastic, full of romance, for the girls, fighting for the boys. Scenery too die for, and the story is fabulous. A lovely old style movie, something for everyone. Especially the match maker, and Maureen O'Hara is stunning, as usual. John Wayne, as well, is wonderful, let me know if it's all I say, for you. They don't make movies like this anymore, even back then, this one was a
rarity of irish movies, all the great charms of moviemaking miraculously came together, perhaps some devine inspiration was behind that, WINK!
As one title for a movie goes, "You Don't know Jack" Well! you don't know what Irish is until you see "The Quiet Man"
If you havn't see this masterpiece? you MUST! and if you have, either case
watch with love, as I always do.

I was at the recording sessions for the album and the vocalist is Anne Buckley accompanied on piano by Richard Farrelly`s son Gerard.
