I found a durian at a local import market. Smelled great on the outside and horrible on the inside. It was too rich for me--it was like trying to eat a whole avocado. The smell didn't help. Then again, the one I got was frozen and probably half-rancid.

what you thought was the longan fruit is actually called a Duku fruit. longans have a more somewhat crunchier texture flesh and its usually a whole.

I resent the video description encouraging the idea that those who believe mangosteen to have healthful properties must be liars. I have reviewed numerous scientific studies where garcinia mangostana has demonstrated anti-cancer effects. Also the phytochemcals called xanthones present in mangosteen are natural COX-2 inhibitor anti-inflammatory agents. It shouldn't be surprising that a tropical fruit would be healthy for humans to eat.
