I have many friends that went to colombia and loved it. and they came saying "the only risk is wanting to stay" (thats how the government is promoting tourism). You do have to have some precautions like not showing off your cell phone, or expensive jewelry just to prevent any unwanted experience.

I just came back from there for a mission trip. I absolutely loved it! The only downside is that there's graffiti pretty much everywhere and you'd have to watch your surroundings wherever you go. And at the Exito, some of the stuff is pretty cheap while others is really expensive compared to here. But otherwise, it's a great town to view especially at night when the lights are on. No city like one built on a mountain. Miss it there already!

While you can take the funicular to the top of Monserrate, you didn't take the funicular, you took the teleférico. A teleférico is a cable car. The funicular is the train.

Dude ! Just so you know, the music was horrible, not in essence but in accuracy ; those songs belong to norther Colombian regions, rather than the region Bogota is located on (Cundinamarca).
Next time I recommend you to include some song(s) that actually matches with what is shown.

(If I did a show on San Francisco, would I only be allowed to include San Fran bands, or just bands from California?)

You can include videos of Nebraska's landscapes with Texas music, but in my opinion it would be out of topic.

I've just come back from three weeks in Bogota and I recommend it highly. The people are very friendly, there's tons to see, night life is great fun, its pretty cheap and unless you do something stupid you're safe. The downside? ... the weather's a bit grim so make Bogota only a part of your trip and head to Cartagena.

Que bonita ciudad. I'm from Mexico originally. I'm going here in 2 days.... flying from SLC. then NYC, then Colombia. First stop is Bogota for a few days. Then drive Off to Cartagena, then fly back to Bogota and back to NYC then SLC. EXcited!!

While you can take the funicular to the top of Monserrate, you didn't take the funicular, you took the teleférico. A teleférico is a cable car. The funicular is the train.

Also I never included anything regarding PROUD in my comment, but truth is we have a blend of diversity which differs region to region and it has to be shown as accurate as possible.

Dude ! Just so you know, the music was horrible, not in essence but in accuracy ; those songs belong to norther Colombian regions, rather than the region Bogota is located on (Cundinamarca).
Next time I recommend you to include some song(s) that actually matches with what is shown.
The videos was good but there is much more to show !

(If I did a show on San Francisco, would I only be allowed to include San Fran bands, or just bands from California?)

You can include videos of Nebraska's landscapes with Texas music, but in my opinion it would be out of topic.

very shallow approach to the "spirit" of bogota, and yes "spirit" cause one could hardly say that city or its people have any spirit at all, let alone experiencing the "colombian culture" (such thing's far from existing), no wonder why during holiday season ppl can't get out of there soon enough, their only merit is monopolizing the power they have as national capital to try and sell an image far from reality.

Less than a kilometer from the hotel we we robbed my four men with knives attacked and robbed us on a crowded street 40 feet from four policemen. I called for help as they stood there watched. Afterward they refused to take our names or make a report. I'm a seasoned traveler, but Colombia is dangerous and the police are not on your side.

I've just come back from three weeks in Bogota and I recommend it highly. The people are very friendly, there's tons to see, night life is great fun, its pretty cheap and unless you do something stupid you're safe. The downside? ... the weather's a bit grim so make Bogota only a part of your trip and head to Cartagena.

This video is amazing! I"ve really grown to love Colombia. I have a friend who is Colombian and is from Bogota but was adopted when he was 6 months old so sometime in the future, for a week or a week and a half, I want to surprise him by bringing him here for his birthday. I think he should come back to his home city and country and experience the place. Oh, and by the way, Colombian people are VERY BEAUTIFUL! I've got proof!!!!
