  • (...I have an original green 79 in my garage)

  • Absolutely worthy of an award! Congratulations on your skills AND your taste in motorcycles, I'm 100% impressed!

  • In the days when men were men and bikes were built to be ridden

  • LIKE A KAWA 1300

  • how much hp, rpm, torque etc. are you getting out of it??

  • Sounds like a Ferrari 275

  • @jdoggybizzle

Ever heard one of those live?

That infamous "Rendezvous in Paris" high speed non-stop (as in one continuous take) drive on Paris streets in 1976 has a Ferrari 275 engine dubbed over the engine sound of the actual car they drove, which was a Mercedes 450SEL 6,9.

And this Kawasaki V12 doesn't sound anything like that, so you may as well heard that sound in a videogame.

  • @McLarenMercedes Well one of the classics, Lamborghini, most of the classic V12 front-engine rear drive cars from the 50's and 60's.

  • An awesome piece of machinery...That's a lotta bike

  • Sound remembers me a Masserati 3200, great sound

  • There used to be a midget motor made by SESCO that was a fused V8. very fast little motor.

  • For the record, Allen builds all of his bikes and, incidentally, his patented enclosed mountain bike drive (I think Cannondale are producing that...) at home in Berkshire. He uses a lathe made in the fifties and a milling machine of similar vintage. Things that need to be oven baked are, assuming they fit, baked in the kitchen oven. Aside from the V8 1500cc (two Kawa 750s as I recall), the numerous 5 cylinder two strokes, the V12 Z1300 and of course the Viper, he also made a V twin Honda SS50...

  • Where can I find some close-up photos of this engine? I'm assuming he made a new lower block assembly and crankshaft and then bolted two stock Kawasaki 6-cylinder inline barrel assemblies to it.

    The sound is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

There is a company producing Suzuki Hayabussa V-8's for sports-racing cars in this manner.

  • end?who is?

  • This is very impressive, not just how he built the thing with very modest equipment... But he rides it like a stolen horse! I have watched hundreds of clips of things built or rebuilt that are just idling or being driven like they are made of glass but NOT this guy, he is not afraid of the monster he created and that's just too cool. I wish he was my neighbor!

  • I wonder how he manages to cool the back bank of cylinders... Seems like they'd run much hotter than the front bank and cause problems!

Not bashing this at all, I think its awesome, just wondering!!

  • I just thought about my comment about cooling the back bank of cylinders, and I'd forgotten that these were water cooled. I'd been looking at video's of CBX's when I came across this, and had "air cooled" stuck in my mind! Awesome bike!

  • The engine is watercooled. That makes it a lot easier.

  • its liquid cooled

  • It clearly is a V 12, but how did he loose 300cc in the process ?

    Anyone ?

  • Different crankshaft and therefore a shorter stroke maybe?

  • That makes sense. Thanks.

I'd kick myself for not having thought of that... ;-)

  • Had to sleeve down the cylinders for clearance.

  • hell no ...

    thats not a v12 engine

  • Yup, it is. It's not stock though!

  • 12 cylinders..V config...makes it a v12 in my book

  • o.o really? .... then please tell me, were in this whole video is that v12 you speak of , beacuse so far i've seen a two-cylinder bike maybe a 4-cyl,

it aitn stock as ejlister said, thats for sure, unless a v12 motorcycle went by somewere in the backgound and i didnt noctice .

sry friend you have been living a lie....

    lol.

    no offense meant.

  • the only bike in this video is a Kawasaki (6cly)z1300 that the builder turned into a v12 2300 cc bike by cutting apart two z1300 crankcases ,then welding them together in a "V"config ...makes it a v12 . Try looking up the builder...Allen Millyard..he also makes kawasaki v8s, straight six and straight fives...and is a friend of mine

  • saw that tnx buddy, by the way while searching for this bike, i found a really nice one w/ a viper v10 engine on it kind of ike a cheaper version of the dodge tomahawk how crazy is that ...very very nice stuff.

  • He has made all sorts of weird bikes: 4-and 5 cylider verdions of old kawa triples, one bith 48 cylinders or somenthing, and different V8,V6 and V12 like this one. He has also made a regular bike-looking bike with the Viper V10 in it, 500 bhp. And lot's of the bikes he makes are sreet-legal. He's brilliant: )

  • actually guys, i hear that kawasaki made 3 z2300's if he didn't home make that he must have pretty good luck.

  • This is truly an engineering masterpiece, Millyard has a history of equal creativity. Amazing that the finished bike still looks somehow stock. It is great to see that a hobbiest can create something so remarkable.

  • Amazing ! If a sheep ran out, it would be like lamb chops in about 1 second. Hell of a mass of metal there. Love the sound of it.

  • WOW..!! --congratulations,..you must go to the guinness book....joel BRAZIL

  • awsome bike, shame he had to ruin two of the old kawi 6s to build it. gerat vid though.

  • Magnificent talent! Who slices a engine block in two with a hacksaw, and still gets it right? This man is the most talented home mechanic in decades!

  • that is cool beans very functional

  • should stick that thing into a caterham or lotus elise (if possible)

  • That would be like poking your cock in an ugly bird

  • hahahaha fookin awesome!!!

  • you should try finding a pretty bird

  • Sounds like a well muffled ferrari, too good!

  • I've owned a KZ1300. The only question I have for this bike is, WHY

  • To show that they can, to show that they think and make inovations.remember the kawasaki H2 with the huge 2 stroke engine, these bikes needed some serious skills if you were to drive them and stay in one peace

  • show some respect dickhead.

  • Great.

    Ask for respect like that.

    Right.

  • I wish I could see this personally. Damn amazing. I have a 1300 Kawa myself.

  • FELICITACIONES!!!! un sueño de moto hecho realidad.

  • i want him to make a cummins bike

  • No escrivo en ingles,te vi en Discobery y ahora aca y queria felicitarte, soy de Argentina

  • This guy is the einstein of motorcycle engineering, nothing is impossible to him.

  • I read about this bike in a mag a few years ago! bloody amazing thanx!!

  • IT SOUNDS LIKE GODS !!!! AWESOME !!!!
