she was amazing she would have won if she didnt mess up on her second pass 1st day but she was the best she should have won well i hope she is 2009 national champ

Did they count Day1 and Day2 together to a final score or why does the competition of the day before affect their final ranking?

yeah, it's because they add the scores from day 1 and day 2, and the gymnast with the highest total score wins.. ;) so all the scores from day 1 affect their final ranking just as much as all the scores form day 2! :)
