  • You even have that Acient Elder (no offence!) voice!

  • geez, why it is they always put there arms down? they can use it for blocking a kick.

  • @caputdraconus1 umm you don't block every kick because you can break your arm. You are supposed to move out of the way. I have seen Master Perry break someones arm when they tried to block. Blocking always isn't the best thing to do while sparring

  • j'adore mon sport préféré

  • nice!

  • thank you sooooo much really helpfull !!!!

  • is tkd good for tall people

  • @ellishaeven it is good for everybody

  • @blurpboyz sweet

  • these are awsome!

  • yes i won my tournament and im white belt and i was only trained 2 weeks and i went against tall fat guy and tall skinny guy. and i need some tips for my second tournament any thing?

  • @simerpreet11 have fun thats my advice :) no but seriously though just remeber your instructor wouldnt send you to a competition if he didnt think you could handle it

  • @simerpreet11 Sang H. Kim has posted a video reply to your question at /watch?v=bdKVhU6J4yU

  • 1:30 nut shot lol

  • My first tournament is in may, orange belt.

    any tips ?

  • @Neutral910 This video has some advice for first time competitors: /watch?v=kD9E3UOCgEs

  • @Neutral910 win

  • @Neutral910 Dude......there no orange in taekwondo. *_*

  • @Neutral910 cool make sure your in good shape. I think at you level you need to get off first and throw more kicks and stay busier than your opponent. Also make sure you are scoring though. Ive seen a lot of beginners at tournaments who don't understand that they will only score your kick if u kick them with impact to the chest piece and it has to be with your FOOT. So make sure you have proper DISTANCE when you kick and your not to close...

  • @Neutral910 First eh? well focus on the other fighter, and remember the feeling. and keep those hands up.

  • @Neutral910 roundhouse kick roundhouse kick roundhouse kick. Don't try anything fancy. stick to bread and butter technique.

  • @Neutral910 phooooony. tae kwon do has no orange belt!

  • @Neutral910 practice practice practice and focus and listen i got to green belt :)

  • @Neutral910 Practice combinations and don't neglect close proximity kicks like the inside or outside crescent, otherwise practice basics, imagine strikes and counters, blocking is seldom seen these days but can be useful due to the surprise it will evoke in your opponent. Good luck.

  • @Neutral910 ya hope you dont get a tall ass black guy like i did still got secound but it was hard

  • @Neutral910 watch your head :)

  • @Neutral910 don't get kicked.

  • @Neutral910 chin up hands down baby jk

  • @Neutral910 Dont spin if you dont do it fancy enough. When you attack, if u score, stop it !! dont get mad and give ur opponent chances to score too, get back n build another point from the beginning. And shout when you hit ! judges like it :D gl

  • @Neutral910 I can tell you don't come from a Legitimate TaeKwonDo Style ( I.T.F- W.T.F or U.T.I) cause orange belt isn't part of the tradinational taekwondo ranking system, Its supposed to be white, yellow, green, blue, red then black.

  • @Gladpot361 not totally true, some W.T.F. schools I've seen do use orange belt, And I.T.F. has these multi-color belts. I know that Kukkiwon doesn't recognize orange belt,or those multi-colored belts, but there are a lot of "Legitimate TaeKwonDo Style" that still use them. So you can't really say that this person isn't from a legitimate taekwondo style.

  • @Neutral910 you learn more by losing than you do by winning

  • @Neutral910 try to aggrisve but be carefull for counter kicks and combinations

  • @Neutral910 orange belt?? wtf

  • @Neutral910 uh.. yea.. do MMA it's better, they usually teach more than 1 style.

  • @Neutral910 at my schools only cammo and up can sparr

  • thank you for the very encouraging video, I will try to focus on keeping it simple with side kicks from a distance and punches when in close. I will let you know how I preform. Thank you again. :)

  • I have my 1st tourement in 3 weeks, yellow belt and i have a hard time with sparring higher opponets. Would you suggest more parrying? or feints?

  • @smckee113 Master Kim has posted a video reply to your question - there's a link on this page. Good luck!

  • @turtlepress

    Sydney's Master Kim?

  • @Ms88Dee No, he lives in the US

  • @turtlepress

    oh ok :-)

  • @smckee113 switch it up move around dont just stand there be as light as u can on taller ppl duck when needed kicking stright and round is a good one dont forget to spin dont listen to me lol though thats what i did and i got good at sparring

  • @smckee113 if u fight against better opponents dont faint, they ll notice. He will try cool stuff as double kicks n lot of combos. Just care n watch: if he spins get away n let him finish the movement to counter him, n if he doesn,t cut distance with punch, PUNCH PUNCH PUNCH MAN n kick in the way over

  • i still think kung fu is the best

  • @HyLLyy1 taekwonDo is from kungfu. Almost every martials arts has originated in CHina. Even ninjas.

  • @lyue1996 if you go back even further it originated in India.

  • @MangoBastard wow

  • @lyue1996 world of war? thats random

  • @MangoBastard No, I said wow. World of war is w.o.w.

  • wow...this actually helped me

  • This does help. I know I got improve my sparring.

  • @aone122 what are the rules really with TKD cuz i used to box and also do kempo and im really good at mixing and from wathching this, not saying anything bad but i saw some openings where i could have just done a few hooks here and there. so can punching come just as much as kicking?

  • @bklyn390 Different depending on the federation. This is WTF. Fullcontact, no punches to the head.

  • @bklyn390 just don't punch in the head and keep moving around ur opponent to get opening to put in simple terms.

  • Very inspiring 5/5 !

  • Wow those were some good tips thank you. Always keep your opponent guessing is the theme here right?

  • @bendef timing is key, if you alter the timing in an engagement then you control the engagement.

  • @bendef wow
