I'm actually astounded that such a relative few didn't get into this. It's shockingly original art. Ish is years ahead of his time. When Picasso first exhibited Les Demoiselles d'Avignon people laughed their asses off. It will never be accepted into the mainstream of hip-hop but this is the truly great music of our day.
There is absolutely nothing else there out that is like this. At first listen, it's difficult to get behind, but once you start hearing where they are going, you are totally into it. Can't wait to see what the future holds for these guys.
Did Ish not show up for work today? I've literally seen him break his neck to these joints! Steez and stage presence go hand in hand. It was unfortunate this was a censored performance.
@Aberinkulas That's what I thought my first time through the album, but try to think of it as a pure instrumental in which the rhymes simply add another texture without trying to stand out.
Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant! Love all of it.

Shabazz Palaces, each verse creates a new room.
Each room vibrates with the sounds of pain, love and truth that fearlessly penetrates through the walls of stagnant minds.

That "yeeaah" is a sample from Bootsy Collin's "I'd Rather To Be With You"...
They are genius for even thinking to sample that the way they did...
Shabazz Palaces are genius.
