However I fail to understand how such an impressive car could lose control. If the driver was abiding all of the speed limits, and driving carefully.; The description does sstate that he lost control prior to colliding with the other vehicle.

@danagol1985 This accident was fairly well covered in the local UK papers. Driver was speeding in excess of 100 mph on fairly crowded road. It was raining, wet surface (no leaves on roadway were involved) and driver simply lost control and plowed into rear of car ahead driving speed limit. Don't know what the legal fall-out was from accident.
