  • @terr1086 I know I am kin to Devil Anes, I think on my great-grandmother's side. My name is Kelley Doyle, my Mom is Patsy Johnson Doyle. Her dad, Arthur Bell Johnson, was Stella Johnson's son, raised on Mobrey Mtn.

  • So am I, lady

  • That's awesome! I didn't know you could kill children, and as long as you take a dip in the creek, it's all good.

I've got some work to do. Thank you, Jesus!

  • This is am amazing story. Anyone know if it's been made into a film?

  • @Kevo216666

There was a made-for-tv movie in 1975 starring jack palance. I'm still looking for it. Also, i've read that though the feuds ended a generation ago, the hatfields and mccoys signed a formal peace treaty in 2003, symbolising that americans can come together and unite.

And as someone has posted here, the hatfield-mccoy descendants actually appeared in a game show with a pig as prize.

  • im related to the hatfields

  • i am a mccoy

  • @radish2354 Bones? Is that you? ;)

  • Not at all a good documentary, but rather evangelical, proselytizing tripe disgused as one.

  • my Granma was a Hatfield. my dad was the old man from the mountain's>> Johnson!!:)

  • my great grandma was a mccoy, there was a person who came to her school and killed her cousin, but didn't know she was a mccoy

  • Not all of what she is saying is true...

  • I'm related to both families by marriage and by blood. My mom's mom's uncle was one of the Hatfields and my mom's dad's great grandfather's brother is one of the Mccoys.

  • Randolph McCoy was my great,great,great, Grandpa's,cousins, wife's,sister's, husband's, brothers,son's,great-great great uncle's pig farmer's neighbor.

  • Fitting enough, during the 70's, the two families made peace and appeared on a special episode on the gameshow Family Feud. The winner got a pig.
