There was a made-for-tv movie in 1975 starring jack palance. I'm still looking for it. Also, i've read that though the feuds ended a generation ago, the hatfields and mccoys signed a formal peace treaty in 2003, symbolising that americans can come together and unite.

And as someone has posted here, the hatfield-mccoy descendants actually appeared in a game show with a pig as prize.

I'm related to both families by marriage and by blood. My mom's mom's uncle was one of the Hatfields and my mom's dad's great grandfather's brother is one of the Mccoys.
