Most deffinately. When I first saw it I didn't even know it was him. Funny, it was actually on today and watched the entire thing even though I should have been doing other things! It's on quite a lot ondemand/cable, but if it's on I keep it on. Such a great film in many ways.
I really don't think you can compare music like this to a chick who's only good for a tittie fuck an a pearl necklace to follow. Sorry to be so crude, but c'mon!!! Pop music is all the same an sux huge amounts of donkey dick for the most part. I think it takes a lot more talent to put the right kind of music into an epic scene of a movie. The music in this movie although different as hell reminds me of young guns, how they incorporated rock/electric guitars in a western film.
@redrumancoke Exactly. This has nothing to do with the movie but it's crazy how a song like this can have so much meaning and emotion without words. I listened to this song after someone close died and it made me break down. It's just one of those songs.
Haha! So correct and yet so funny/stupid comparison. :O)
This song is truly amazing. For years I've been playing my own version of it since I saw the movie ages ago. Not that accurate, but still very beautiful.
This is powerful music that suited an intense scene. It was absolutely Billy Bob Thorton's best work.

@nutsabotas2504
Should be "Blow" soundtrack sounds like this one because this film and soundtrack came out years before it.

@pcfaulkner
Why agree with a wrong statement? Blow came out in 2001 and Slingblade 96 .... so if anything this film and soundtrack came first.

I agree. This, like much of Daniel Lanois's work, has an aching beauty to it. Although similar to the works of Britney Spears, I like this better.
