i was just about to buy one, untill i tasted coffee from a rancilo silvia... u are going to waste so much money on pods over time, go taste the difference and trust me u wont be so happy with ur nespresso.... if u are still happy with ur nespresso then u have ur head up ur arse...
@bobmarley8326 it is excellent coffee latte and need 1 mn for a drink, good luck to do the same. Quality of coffee is amazing but ok pods are not cheap.
PODS are expensive: 0,3Euro per POD divided by 5 grams coffee content equals 66 Euro / kg - beans are between 7 and 20 Euro / kg.
If in your household you drink more than 4 coffees per day FORGET Nespresso, Dolce Gusto, Lavazza and any form of PODS.
Just buy a auto-espresso machine with grinder costing between 300 and 600 Euro. If you drink 0,5kg coffee per month, you will save (66-10)/2= 28 Euro each month, 336 Euro per year so you pay your machine in 1/2 years - after will be money for you
Americans have absolutely no idea about coffee. Stop trying to cheat your way to a decent coffee experience and just buy a standard espresso machine. Seriously, do you think everything you need can be delivered at the end of a tube? Learn to drink it first, then you can learn to make it.
Does the entire thing heat up? Or does it just pass through something at the top that heats up?
As I'm wondering whether you can store it in the fridge when not in use, otherwise you are just going to have milk going bad if it's not used quite sharpish.
I love Nespresso coffee - the money is not important.
However Nespresso UK changed from FEDEX to "YODEL" for deliveries. Just google YODEL and Amazon you'll see why I'm pissed!
I'm trying NE-CAP's now - the French seem to like them. If that doesn't work the old Krups is getting repaired and the Nespresso unit goes in the trash!
To bad...Nespresso does have a good product but chasing deliveries is something I have no time for. I am a busy addict and the dealer has f'd up big time!
@Abaddon1594 I'm about to find out having ordered the new Lattissimo Plus, but I've put in a huge first coffee order and with thanks for your advice will ensure I order early before I run-out :-)
1. Reminds me of people in the sixties saying those pesky IBM machines won't beat the good ol' accountant with his pen and notepad. This machine is semi-auto BTW, you can customize the amounts of coffee and milk as well as the foam thickness to your wish. Go tell an average grumpy barman in Italy that.
2. Luckily designers at Delonghi apparently took account of that by introducing a magical feature called "removable container than can be put in the fridge". Amazing huh?
that is definitely not a cappuccino. Its somewhere between a latte and a cappuccino. I have a nespresso machine with the aerocino and with that you can make very good cappuccino with it.
all the nespresso units and ESEs etc are fine for domestic espresso and often the best choice for people without barista training, but please don't jizz all over them like they're some kind of godly machinations that surpass true cafe-quality coffee. they're not.
Test it and you will see one of the best Cappucino at home, I was not able to find amything close for the home. Of course, in a real Italian Coffee shop you can have :the best Cappuccino
Can you adjust the amount of foam? I think that is way too much for my taste. I have the C190 where I can adjust it myself. I want the Latissima though.
the machine and entire concept of 'home espresso' from pod systems is fine - it produces reasonably drinkable stuff - but the commentary on how great the milk was, and how the end product would be so much better than store-bought products, created feelings of absolute disgust at the machine and espresso culture in general that it has gotten to such a point where we truly believe things like that.
Frankly, that comes off as mere snobbishness. I've had a series of espresso machines over the years (I burn through them, being an expresso hound) and even compared to the Jura I had, my Magimix CitiZ/milk system (a smaller version of this) just plain rocks. It produces an espresso with amazing crema and the foaming system for the milk creates perfect cappuccinos and lattes. I was a complete convert. Stop crying about how disgusted you are and try it before commenting.
let's be honest, that's by far not the best machine. i'm swiss and know many other coffee machines. but they make good money with it as i can see. about the americans and coffee... we all know they don't know much about it. but who cares, now they have the nespresso machine;)
The Nespresso is an amazing machine! I have been to Italy and I have to say it is the first and only coffee machine I have seen in the states that mirrors the taste of Italy.
this is italian hitech we dont fly to the moon we make PERFECT COFFE !!!! :-)

nespresso capsules are small that they are good for short sized drinks only.
for the cup size in the video, i will have less milk in it. make it a tall sized latte the most.

This is honestly the best machine on the market. I love it. Can you put half and half in the milk container?

You this IS NOT cappuccino, do you?
This is just a lot of milk foam, with some coffee.
As 100% italian, I would feel cheated

@sciamannikoo Then as a 100% Italian, you should know that this is called Latte Macchiato.
By the way, this machine was made in Italy by 100% Italians.

How does this machine create the foam? It uses steam or just a little mixer inside the milk container?

Yes there is a tab on the top of the milk tab; you can push the tab in for hot milk, or fully out for maximum froth. Middle for intermediate froth

I just bought this one week ago,
The coffee is great but the milk is not hot at all,
Yes there is 3 setting for milk but the milk temperature is around 90 Fahrenheit which is very disappointing.
