  • just ate some microwaved buffelo chicken. mmm. If I die, who cares! 16,000 die of hunger each day, I am eating some chicken! and if I die sooner then later, so what!

  • I have no attachments either way but I just want to point out that the narrator twists the words of the Christian website. It did NOT say Jews killed 100 million christians, it's saying the banking system financed wars that killed Christians. There is some accuracy to this except it would be better to point out that people besides Christians died in the wars. The banking system did come from the Jewish culture and most bankers are Jewish, and wars are financed by the banking systems.

  • @cellphonesaredeadly you antisemite! lol, jk.

  • Read this people its for your benefit.. curezone.com/art/read.asp?ID=112&db=7&C0=1

  • I'm glad that I finally have come across a video that explains why microwave ovens aren't dangerous. There are so many videos on youtube saying that they are dangerous. When I saw the electromagnetic spectrum, I was surprised that microwaves have less energy than visible light. If a flashlight can't cause cancer, than how would a microwave oven cause cancer?

  • Credible, but I still remain a skeptic... meaning I simply won't ever microwave cook my food anymore, harming nobody and taking the "just to be sure" path. In any case, food is tastier when it's not microwaved. There may not be valid scientific evidence for microwaved food being a hazard to your health, but it might come one day or it might not. Whatever is true, science doesn't have the final answers either and I think it's better to think critically rather than assume dull-mindedly.

  • Thanks jasonipsmith, for proving that food cooked in microwave ovens is completely safe.

Could you also make videos to show those conspiracy theorists that aspartame is a safe food sweetener?

  • MICROWAVES ARE THE RESULT OF THE RADIATION AGE. A BI PRODUCT OF NUCLEAR STUDIES.THEY WE'RE DISCOVERED BY ACCIDENT. PURPOSLY MARKETED FOR FINANCIAL GAIN AND THE DANGERS HIDDEN FROM THE PUBLIC TO PROCURE THE MICROWAVE TECHNOLOGY MARKET. FACT? GO FIGURE.

  • @willeemina The microwave oven was not a by-product of nuclear studies. It is not related to nuclear reactions. It uses electromagnetic radiation with photon energy lower than visible light and hence is non-ionising (search wikipedia for "Electromagnetic radiation" and "Nuclear physics").

  • Microwave ovens are perfectly save. But the real danger is cell towers that emit powerful signals everywhere we go. We are being bombarded by radiation 24/7. The dangers have hardly been studied and every year the signal gets stronger to produce higher data speeds. This explains the increase in cancer in the last decade.

  • CORRECT. MICROWAVES KILL. THE OVEN IS A USELESS ITEM. THE WHEEL STILL WORKS FOR MOBILITY AND THE CONVECTION OVEN STILL WORKS FOR FOOD. LAZY HUMANS WILL TAKE ANY RISK FOR EXPEDIATING THEIR DESIRES AT ANYONES COST. THE MICROWAVE OVEN HAS CAUSED BREAST CANCER IN MY MOTHER IN LAW, SISTERS, FRIENDS, and IF YO DON'T BELEIVE ME, ASK THE DEAD.

  • @willeemina If your sisters have had breast cancer, then there is a chance that there is a BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene mutation in your family (it's worth getting checked). There are many known risk factors for breast cancer such as a gene mutation in BRCA1 or 2 which increases the risk to 80% chance of breast cancer in a female. Other known risk factors include alcohol, weight, smoking, etc. See the risks at breastcancer(dot)org

  • They studied the effect that microwaved food had on eight individuals, by taking blood samples immediately after eating. They found that after eating microwaved food, hemoglobin levels decreased. "These results show anaemic tendencies. The situation became even more pronounced during the second month of the study".

Who knows what results they would have found if they had studied people who ate microwaved food for a year or more? put real science to work you eat safe microwave food for a year.

  • @greenearthnazi20204u The study you are referring to was a poorly constructed trial, even so the results were not statistically significant (google search "Dr Karl microwaves damage food" for further info). If the tiral was done properly, there would be a much larger sample size with a control group and the subjects would not know if the food provided was prepared using a microwave or not (to eliminate the nocebo effect).

  • I really don't believe any of this bullshit trying to get ppl to continue using microwaves even though we know its not safe to use. Radiation is bad...period!

  • @hollisprophet. Electromagnetic radiation is essential to almost all life on Earth. The sun supplies Earth with electromagnetic radiation in the form of visible light, infra-red and ultra-violet. Have a look at the Wikipedia article for Sunlight, particularly look at the section Life on Earth. How did you come to the conclusion that "Radiation is bad... period!"?

  • @jasonlpsmith My mistake...radiation that your "eating" is just something I don't do anymore...I meant that is what I consider bad..

  • The April 1992 Journal of Pediatrics reported that researchers at the Stanford University Medical Center discovered that the changes in human breast milk that was microwaved just enough to warm it included the destruction of 98% of its immunogloban-A antibodies and

96% of its liposome activity (which inhibits bacterial infections). u can't touch this, u industry whore.

  • @theCosmicQueen. I couldn't find it in the e-journal database that my university subscribes to (however it only goes back to 1992, Iss 4, pp. 389-568). Do you have a copy of the actual paper? If you have it I would like to see it. Thanks.

  • well, one of the most active people exposing radiation on youtube, is an ISRAELI or at least Hebrew speaking Jew. so much for your dissing the opponents of excess RF radiation as if they were a bunch of antisemites! gotcha. see noradblog, and by the way, one of his websites is in hebrew!

  • THANKS!!! enjoyed it!

  • people just please go look up the electromagnetic radiation. Stop being stupid. Not all radiation is dangerous. Your bodies release infrared radiation all the time. and that is not dangerous. Microwaves are longer in wavelength and have less energy that infrared, so how can they hurt us?

  • if you have neighbour who has giant antenna and tower , they are probably HAM radio operator, they radiate more power than Microwave Oven does, 1500 watts spreading around from 60 feet tower and huge antenna. vs, 800 watts in confined metal shield box.

  • First of all the Jewish bankers did probably kill more people than anyother person. They are behind hitler, Stalin, mao, other tyrannicle leaders. And they started the cancer, aids, many more epidemics. They also put us all in prison for weed! I could go on for 2 pages. You don't know history. Look it up!

  • One thing I'd like to add: Heating 1 ration of food with a 800W microwave for 2 minutes will use 800 * 2 / 60 = 27 kilo watt hours. Heating the same ration with a typical conventional 21cm 2300W diameter cooker for 5 minutes will use 2300 * 5 / 60 = 192 kilowatthours. This is over 7 times more. Guess how many (nuclear) power plants could be saved, if not so many people were reluctant with microwaves...

  • Okay so i have a Geiger counter.. I tested my computer and my router my cellphone and wirelessphone AND MY MICROWAVE. ALL GIVING OFF VERY LITTLE RADIATION THE NEEDLE BARLEY MOVED. IT WAS AT 0.5 AND 3.6 IS THE HIGHEST READING IT CAN GO.

  • do not put your pets in your micro wave kids!!! Dr.K

  • OUTSTANDING video.

  • I knew this video was a Fail once I heard "Christian." lol

  • I'm still neutral on the microwave dangers, but, I know for a fact the fluoride in our tapwater is toxic.

  • @Viktir666 yup, if fluoride was so good for the teeth, why would we need to ingest it anyway? haha, soon they will be putting in pharmaceutical drugs in the water to, let me guess, fight off cancer? what a load of rubbish. as for microwaves, might as well stay away as the food can most likely be cooked in an oven anyway.. just to be safe

  • @Viktir666

Yes, fluoride damages the thyroid gland. Thats bad because the thyroid governs the metabolism of the whole body and the rest of the organs.

  • killed by the heat of the blood :( sad

  • eating microwave food makes your bone weak, turns you bipolar some time in your life, skin discoloration, glaucoma ,digestive problems whole life, etc. It happens slowly and that's the destination even if you live 70-80 years.

  • this comforts me

  • What is more dangerous: microwave or edumucation?

  • Great spy job. There are lots of crooks who put fear in us.

  • Do a video on why drinking floridated watter is good for you and perfectly safe.

  • Toss your micro wave ovens, get a toaster oven. Yeah, it takes LONGER to eat, but it is healthier. Beware of micro waves

  • jasonipsmith you have abandoned honest scientific enquiry and the scientific method and ebraced "official science" which has only corporate profit in mind, while you hiding beneath a veil of honest scientific research.

  • @busybuzzbuzz Thanks for that statement! Official science is used as a weapon against all of us, but now the veil is falling..

  • Jesus, people are stupid! Would you eat sterilized food? Bet you would!!

Radiation is used for sterilization! And compared to that radioation a microwave oven is like a fart in space!

The damage done to the food is strictly on a cellular level, because of the movement of the water in the cells, which is why the texture is different. However, freezing food causes cellular damage as well, so are you going to give up both your microwave oven and your freezer?

    Dumbasses...

  • lmao @ 6:33

  • People are getting to paranoid these days, whats next? Radioactive electric toothbrush? Poisoned toilet water? Get a hold of yourselves.

  • There's probably some validity in negative effects from microwave ovens to whatever minute degree. Problem is what's the alternative? Gas ovens? They give off gas and eat oxygen. Burners shed electrons, so were told, which, might be even more harmful than m.o.s (?). Pressure cookers is the only thing I can think of, but again electrons are emitted - but to a far lesser degree.

  • stupid fag has no idea what he is talking about!

  • Omg everyone shut the fuck up, microwaves are safe. All they do is emit a frequency of that which vibrates water molecules, thus, causing them to heat up and cook the food. If you place a plate in the microwave it doesn't get hot because theres no water in it. Fucking stupid people omg. Stfu and eat your food >=[

  • @PandaMagicFTW That's not true, many types of plates get mighty hot very fast in micros.

  • ur so edumucated!

  • @keybobrob Because I had edumucation !!

  • @PandaMagicFTW You are completely wrong and here's why: Microwave owens distort the structure of proteins in food and make them toxic. Noone can deny that microowens chnages the proteins, it is clearly so.

Since toxins contribute to cancer, microwaved food is carcinogenic.. I got rid of my microowen 12 years ago. Its very easy to steamcook vegetables and saute meat in an ordinary pan or the like. And it tastes like food again!!!

  • @Sailor757SWE Sorry, not trying to be rude or anything, but your reply is pretty stupid. Your are correct only on one thing, microwaves change the molecular structure of proteins in food. However, it does not make them toxic, the molecular structure changes in the same way as when you cook on a stove. Cooking food is the process of these molecular structures being changed. In no way does it become carcinogenic or pathogenic. Microwaves are just a frequency of waves that happen to heat up water.

  • @PandaMagicFTW Remarks about stupidity etc usually points to maturity issues, but its no big deal for me.. You see, either my statement is correct or it is not. We both agree that the protein structure in food is changed by the microwave radiation. You say that food is changed in the same way on a normal stove but this is incorrect. For example, we can all see that there is no browning effect on food cooked in a microowen. I maintain my position, microwaves ruins the foodvalue.

  • @Sailor757SWE Believe what you want. You can't be helped.

  • @PandaMagicFTW Fortunately its not me who is in need of help ;)

  • How then do you explain the fact that one plant grew better than the other?

  • @johnycl It's really quite simple. Both plants had a bias against microwaves, so the plant that was fed only microwaved water refused to drink it, and died. (Jk, I'm actually not sure what I think about microwaved foods. There certainly could be a danger, HOWEVER, microwaving water alone will do absolutely nothing to it (besides warm it) unless there are non-mineral impurities in the water.

  • Thanks for trying to explain, i only think that the video it's funny. But, i won't eat anything came from the microwave.

  • go and get --------------------------------

  • E = hν

    Nuff said.

  • Just the other day I was killed by a falling microwave but I managed to survive as you can see.

I think people believe this shit for the same reason they believe religion, because it makes them feel important. They feel that they are at the center of world dominating cliques who are constantly plotting to annihilate them. They never ask themselves the question, "If these all powerful cabals want me dead, why don't they just kill me?". See "Sprinkler Rainbow Conspiracy": /watch?v=_c6HsiixFS8

  • @colourmegone Have you heard about slavery? People who dont want do work themselves make other people do it for them.. Thats why your alowed to live. As a slave.

  • Come to think of it, the really sad thing about videos like these is that I imagine a lot of the people who enjoy watching bullshit being debunked are already well aware that it's bullshit, whereas gullible people may not get the chance to view resources like these before being duped by misinformation. It's enjoying to see good debunking, but I wonder how many of the people who've viewed this are basically a case of preaching to the choir.

  • It's nice to see a voice of reason willing to debunk shit in the cesspit of pseudoscience that is YouTube... it's sad that we're currently going through an anti-science fad.

  • @aquariussphere Science is now thoroughly corrupted due to industry manipulatioon, so the anti-science "fad" is well founded.

  • regardless of health effects, microwave ovens make food tase like ass, it turns meat and cheese into rubbery sludge, makes beans and hotdogs explode, and vegetables turn to tastless starch.

  • Thanks for this video mate.

  • very good video, subscribed to you

  • Number one reason not to use a microwave:

    1. Microwaved food tastes like shit.

  • Comment removed

  • I know very little as to what microwaving food does but I am always open minded and have heard it is bad. I'm aware that low frequencies DO affect us and our health in the way that in cymatics lower frequencies create crude patterns within structures and high frequencies created more beautiful complex structures.

  • i like burritos, re-heated pizza, nachos, mac and cheese and 2 min noodles. im still living and actually quite healthy. i aint givin up my microwave its perfectly safe

  • @AnnofAmerica

Have you done the experiment yourself?

Someone commented that they tried that experiment and both sets of seeds sprouted. It was one of the earliest comments on this video.

  • @jasonlpsmith i like what you do.

  • Yea, but how long did they live?

  • Comment removed

  • @AnnofAmerica im trying to look at it from your point of view but i cant stick my head that far up my ass.

  • Comment removed

  • @AnnofAmerica yes it is because there is no solid or legitimate evidence about it being harmful so it becomes an opinion

  • @AnnofAmerica I was intrigued by the premise, so I tried it. Both plants still living. The one I fed microwaved water looks a bit healthier, but that could be coincidence.

  • Comment removed

  • @AnnofAmerica You STILL don't understand the scientific process? You can not draw any conclusions from a single test.

    snopes(dot)com(slash)science(slash)microwave(slash)plants(dot)asp

Wikipedia, scientific method, read up on it.

In short, your major shortcoming is that you're making "biased interpretations of results".

  • @a1mint Lets say someone shoots you between the eyes and you die, and that was only a test.. Then the intelligent rest of us would understand that your where wrong about one test not proving anything. ;) Besides, the idea that "one test shouldnt count" is simply the way science has been setup so that the industry can control whats true. You see, they just finance some more biased experioments until they "own" the "truth". Science is massively corrupted and harmful today.

  • @Sailor757SWE Science is a process. A process can't be corrupt. Sure there could be companies out there that play a game of selective information, but that in itself has nothing to do with science.

Science isn't anyone's enemy either. What you do with information is another matter.

There exists no scientific information that microwaved water (at normal room temperatures) is harmful to plants in any way. That's not "corrupt", that's just information.

  • @AnnofAmerica Actually, this is a BAD experiment! Microwave ovens operate at a specific frequency such that the wavelength matches the length of a water molecule. This vibrates the water VERY fast, causing the water to heat the food very quickly (possibly causing damage). Microwaving just WATER won't affect it's structure. Even if it DID, the water would break down into hydrogen and oxygen, and bubble out of the remaining water. So if the plants both look healthy, that wouldn't prove anything.

  • Comment removed

  • @AnnofAmerica Okay... I'm not quite sure what your saying. What do you mean by "It's not water after it is processed in the microwave"? The only thing different about it is that it's warmer.

  • Comment removed

  • @AnnofAmerica Uhm... how are the different? They are still polar molecules consisting of two hydrogen atoms, and one oxygen atom. What's to change about them? If they fuse together or fall apart the results will quickly dissipate.

  • Comment removed

  • @AnnofAmerica Okay, I did the reseach, and I could not find any evidence that it changes water molecules. Food, yes, strait water, no. If someone did the experiment you mentioned with a lot of plants, then of course I would be suspicious of microwaved water. Right now, though, there is no evidence suggesting that water is changed in a microwave. Believe what you want, but I can't tell any difference in taste, either.

  • @Kuploosh The structure of the water is changed, there are whole books written about that, and it is photographed. The water cooked in microowens look disgusting and plants watered with such water get growth retardation.

  • @Sailor757SWE Can you point me to some credible evidence?

  • @Kuploosh With words you can create any "reality". I hope you dont mean credible evidence like in "official scientific evidence" agreed upon and payed by the industrial and governmental complex? We all have to chose our authorities carefully. Masaru Emoto is an interesting read but also I just discovered that his credibility has been attacked. Without exception this happens to everyone who offers effective health information, so it can even be a sign of excellent quality! :) More sources exist.

  • @Sailor757SWE Well sorry to disappoint your hope, but yes. That's exactly what I mean by credible evidence. I don't consider books written by random authors to be more credible than what you called "official scientific evidence". I agree that we shouldn't blindy accept what the world of science tells us, but it's certainly better than blindy accepting what some random person has said!

  • @Kuploosh Looks like we have the same opinion after all. :) Meaning that *nothing* should be accepted blindly, neither from the "business as usual science" nor from a random person. But Should we always put more trust in the scientific results selected by the industrial controlled establishment than from however credible random persons? Who is more credible in your opinion?

  • @Sailor757SWE Who is more credible? I think it all depends on how credible the individual source is. There have been many frauds exposed from sources that were claiming to be "scientific", and there have also been many individual people who have correctly made bold claims against "science" (Galileo for example). Frankly I wouldn't trust either source unless there are repeated experiments and a lot of widespread agreement. I haven't heard many people say that microwaving water changes it.

  • Comment removed

  • @AnnofAmerica Whatever you say. I don't see much point in continuing this conversation seeing as neither of us are being persuaded.

  • @AnnofAmerica Check out my video on the effects of microwaving food and water. I explain how microwaves can affect food and water. youtube.com/watch?v=mtyNQW5mR9c

  • @AnnofAmerica Oh I should also say that I am Kuploosh. I have two accounts on youtube. Just wanted to make sure you didn't feel like I was deceiving you.

  • @AnnofAmerica

both of the plants sprouted.....u jackass...posting false things

  • Microwaves are only electromagnetic waves. Food gets warm because of friction, not the waves itself.

  • i bet the guy who melted the chocolate had no sperm left

  • thank you I enjoyed watching

  • @berrydigital

Microwaves have lower energy photons than visible light. You don't put a lead smock on when you turn on the light. That is because light (and microwaves) are non-ionising. X-rays are ionising radiation, you seem to be confusing microwaves with ionising radiation.

For more info read wikipedia articles on "Electromagnetic Spectrum", "Electromagnetic Radiation", "Ionising Radiation"

  • @berrydigital Are you really that stupid?

  • @berrydigital you just got muthafuckin pwned

  • you work for the microwave companies, dont you?!

  • @berrydigital No. I work in solar energy research and development.

  • @jasonlpsmith Whether or not microwaves are safe or not doesn't matter. Cooked food is a large cause of the majority of health problems nowadays.

  • @jasonlpsmith

it ionises at a frequncy of 2.4ghz so i think it on both spectrum since the voltage into the valve is 3kv abouts and the frayday cage is at the other line potental

  • @jasonlpsmith Yes, the Soviet Union had banned microwave oven in 1976. The source is here: relfe(dot)com(slash)microwave(dot)html

  • @jasonlpsmith no comment on the microwave... but you make it sound as though the simple act of getting something published makes it valuable when in fact "published" does not make it automatically true, nor is non-publish automatically false.

  • black and decker infra wave - it is wonderful

  • Using humor to avoid the real issue does work at times, but it didn't work with me this time.

Should I will reassured when I hear that there is a low level of rediation in the prosess of microwave cooking.

    WHAT THE HELL !!!

I want NO REDIATION in my food... what the f&^% is this !

I'm throwing out my microwave today.

Since I have adapted a slower pace of live recently, throwing this radiation machine out is perfict.

  • @rafi6700

Light is radiation, visible light is non-ionising, ultra-violet is ionising.

You said "I want NO REDIATION in my food". Your food is exposed to EM radiation when any visible light gets on it. Plants NEED EM radiation to grow at all.

Read the wikipedia entry on Electromagnetic radiation and hopefully you can understand the use of EM radiation.

  • @jasonlpsmith

Microwaves have been shown to retard the growth of plants. Dont confuse healthy natural waves with microwaves. Scientists without ties to the industry all see great risks with microwaves! Unfortunately the damage occurs slow enough so the victims are incapable of discerning what harmed them. Much like pharmaceuticals and food additives, environmental pollution etc etc.

  • this dude is really annoying

  • I will stick to cooking my food by steam and flame. Technology is not always so great.

  • @20Estevenson Sorry to disappoint you, but flames give off radiation, including microwaves.

  • I'm just wondering why jasonlpsmith would go through all the trouble of making this flick. Not using a microwave wouldn't really harm anything but commerce, so where do you get your motivation? You really can't be THAT bored.

  • @MultiHermanni. My motivation is to inform people about science. It really annoys me when people make stuff up and call it science.

It doesn't worry me if everyone stops using their microwave oven. My objective is get people thinking critically and check things out for themselves.

  • @jasonlpsmith Way to go! I'm glad there are still scientifically reasonable people on youtube.

  • it is non ionizing radiation you fool !

  • no more noodles for me

  • EVERY radioactive particle has the potential when it interacts with matter. Yes, it's true, you change the molecular formula when you heat your for past a certain point (around over 118 degrees) yet he completely bi-passed the term "nuclear decay," in the beginning of the sentence.

Honestly, I don't think microwaved food is fit for human consumtion.

  • @swagga07. You seem to have confused radioactivity with radio waves. The two are quite different. If you are interested, wikipedia microwave, electromagnetic radiation and radioactivity. Microwaves are non-ionising radiation.

  • Ok, the commentator needs to be a bit less defensive, Why are you defensive!! is there something you're not telling us,

Microwave Sucks, if you can cook with any other form then GREAT, if you live a quick high stress life, microwave is not going to make a big difference, you need to look at your entire life style..... is it?

  • the whole picture i s called eugenics

  • make more vids

  • I love your videos

  • Thanks.

  • I agree with Firegax2 about your sources.Government sites and peer review journals are heavily influenced by other factors and mainly what rakes in the most money, and it is a fact that chronic illnesses are bringing in enormous amounts of revenue so I wouldn't trust them.

  • Chronic illness results in unproductive members of society, it results in a net cost to the society. It would not make sense for a government to wilfully provide false information that makes their taxpayers unproductive.

The peer-review process uses independent experts to review the research methodology, not to allow or disallow papers based on the results.

  • Chronic not debilitating illness still keeps the work force but also rakes in billions in profit and kills often kills off the parasite (human) before retirement. But I would say that i'm being extremely kind to the government in saying that they are harming us for profit when the truth is much more sinister and evil. Peer review journals when money or specific agendas are concerned will always be favorable to the research methodology which produces the desired results.

  • dude c'mon, it's just...

  • They make more money off a sick person than they ever could hope to make off soewone who is "productive"!

    wake up!!

  • Comment removed

  • Feel free to check the other references provided, and also the check the references given on the cancer(dot)gov website that the US National Cancer Institute sourced information from. There are plenty of peer-reviewed sources out there - check it for yourself.

  • Microwaves are safe as much as gmo foods are "safe" They alter the dna structure of the foods they irradiate.

  • Do you have a physical mechanism to explain your claim? Microwave ovens heat food, so DNA will denature and be broken by the heat, but this is no different to other heating methods.

  • I agree that both normal heating and irradiation from microwaves will denature DNA but they denature only some of the DNA.The irradiation from the microwave however also mutates the dna and like GMO foods this mutation can cause a variety of cancers among other illnesses. And let's not forget that even denatured DNA can renature when the source of what is causing the denaturing is removed and the mutated DNA from the microwave will renature back to it's mutation.

  • Wow you shore gave the stupid tree a shake here. I'd not heard this bullshit before.

  • Surely microwave radiation is no more harmful to ones health than the radiation u r exposed to from use of a cell phone or ur computer on a hourly basis(day in,day out) jackass...

  • it's just not normal that the food gets heated in just 2 minutes?!!!

    NoT Notmal!!!

  • That is a poor argument.

  • i don't want to argue

i don't like microwaves thats what i was trying to say

  • That is fine but the argument "it is not natural" is a very poor point. Firstly humans are part of nature so what they create is "natural." Secondly, even going with the idea that they are not natural is meaningless by itself. Many items that are made by humans that are not "natural" are used all the time, including the electronic device you are using to read this comment this very moment.

  • ur right

but don't u agree that their disadvantages are more than their advantages?

  • I personally have no idea. I know very little about microwaves which is why I decided to watch this video. I have just heard recently about mircowave problems though I guess the discussion has been going on for awhile.

  • what also dangerous is MSG

  • Anyone care to post some actual evidence as opposed to making random claims? I think people don't know what the hell they're talking about.

  • It's actually worse than that. They don't even know that they don't know what the hell they're talking about. See XyOHJa5Vj5Y

  • Cooked food (or rather over cooked foods) triggers an immune response and leukocytes (white blood cells) are released. Lightly steam your foods, but don't burn them, certainly don't microwave. Most reheats are left-overs, low nutritional value anyway. Microwave ovens fall right in with Pasteurisation in that they decrease or eliminate your foods nutritional value. Your body best absorbs nourishment at body temp 36d, so it applies for rapidly superheated foods aswell as refridgerated drinks

  • Noone knows enough of both microwaves and food reactions to say for sure.

You think final science reports aren't held back by industry? Grants? Most cooking in M. ovens is gross junk foods, so sure there is digestive cancers, or reheating your drink in these? add more hot water.

Your body I've read will actually show a higher concentration of white blood cells when you eat foods cooked to a certain degree, burnt, overcooked, chemically altered or superheated with mo

  • Who is this joker writing the previous comment . . . "Do the research people"? Well, let's see your research TheUniversalGarden. Cite me some peer-reviewed articles that explain the harms of microwave cooking aside from those mentioned by the narrator (e.g., uneven cooking of food). I would like to share this information with all the attorneys at my law firm so that we can sue the manufacturers of microwave ovens and make a large fortune.

  • Comment removed

  • Who is this joker narrating this video . . . Do not listen to the narrator of this video . . . Microwaving of any food will cause harm to our human biology. Do the research people. It will cause degeneration of our human bodies. Set your microwave oven out on the the curb to be picked up by the trash collectors only after hitting hit with a sludge hammer first :)

  • You know, I always thought that the story about Spencer noticing the melted chocolate bar in his pocket was apocryphal. I mean, who the hell keeps bars of chocolate in their pocket, and then, who the hell pulls one out of said pocket, notices it's melted (shock!) and then concludes that it did so not because they PUT IT IN THEIR FUCKING POCKET but because a magnetron happened to be on nearby. anyway, excellent skeptical vid, the nazis cooking popcorn made me lol.

  • That reminds me of an ex who wanted my to put a wrapped portion of butter in my pocket that comes with bread at a restaurant. She didnt understand why I refused, she was otherwise quite intelligent. Apparently it was really nice butter, but I imagine not so nice melted on jeans.

  • and lets not forget real threats (well, low influence and ignorable sometimes hehe) like the burned surface of the meat of barbeque or well done stake, toast, fried potatos and other foods even the under base of bread, where food partialy carbonizes and converts in dangerous substances. microweaves cooc or heat fast without burning or roasting the surface too soon. if conventional cooked food is good, then i think microweaved food might be better sometimes lol XD

  • i agree. microweaves cant be harmful when coking. they are just diferent then the normal cooking wich uses another EM radiation, with mich higher frequency, the infrareds, wich cant penetrate food and moastly heat through thermo conductive properties of food, wich sometimes are verry verry small, like in defreezing meat. microweaves penetrate because of the lower frequency, they don't just dump the energy in the first laier of solid/liquid surface. so u can boost power, and lower time.

  • really? I find that microweaves can be extremely harmful when coking, what with all those tiny little fibers tickling the inside of your nose; the risk of sneezing and loosing your whole stash is very dangerous! :)

  • Hi, I bought a cooking vessel which was made of plastic or something like that (my English ain't that good) and it mentioned on top that it was safe for microwave use and for 120C temperature, I tried to make pop corn and the plastic melted, is it possible that it overheated that much, could it be that the microwave sign was not true?

  • Should I sue the shop that sold me the container?

  • I would suggest that you could contact the government body responsible for food safety. The company that manufactured the item normally needs to pass safety certifications and this item may not be adequately microwave safe (but I don't know).

You might be able to ask the shop for a refund, personally I would not go to legal action.

  • try using paper bags, termo resistent glass, ceramic for popcorn :P warks for me
