Although, it's not completely unrelated. The reason he even got this job is because Marc Cherry saw him on Boomtown and loved his performance. Give work to a guy from a good show-even if you know this cash-cow is crap, it's still something.

You know this guy is really talented I saw a few clips of him in the 'Machine' and he plays the ultimate bad guy. I think he is a bad guy with class. Not many people can pull that off but he does it beautifully.
