Immer sehr original André Rieus Konzerte und die Atmosphäre in seinen Konzerten immer so fröhlich! Das erste Mal, dass ich ihn sah, war es als ich in Deutschland war, zwischen 2005-07. Bevor ich nach Deutschland ging, wusste ihn überhaupt nicht und am Anfang fand ich seinen Stil sehr komisch. Hier in Griechenland ist er ganz unbekannt, während im deutschsprachigen Raum sehr beliebt ist... Das Duo hier mit DJ Ötzi ist sehr schön!

in der heutigen zeit ist es glaub ich normal, dass man als virtuose auch mal einen stilbruch begeht.. ich spiel jetzt seit 18 jahren klavier, (produziere aber techno) und vriiere da auch mittlerweile wie es mir beliebt. das ist das moderne musikzeitalter... es baut alles auf der klassik auf und wird halt weiterentwickelt... die grundelemente bleiben, aber was das endprodukt am ende hergibt, das wird man dann sehen. reizvoll und interessant auf jeden fall... Man muß aufgeschlossener werden...

Außerdem denke ich, dass Strauss II, seiner Zeit ein moderner und zukunftsorientierter Mensch, eher positiv dieser Variation gegenüber stünde, denn DJ Ötzi schafft es den Walzer aller Walzer aus dem Ballsaal aufs OpenAirConcert zu holen und somit einem breiteren und vor allem jüngeren Publikum zugänglich zumachen!

Der Grundgedanke eines Walzers ist es doch, damals wie heute, die Menschen zu erfreuen - und das schaffen sowohl der taditionelle Donauwalzer als auch die Variation von DJ Ötzi
